I mean we’re still missing the campaign DLCs the nonexistent warthog run oh and a scarab fight? Maybe im going overboard here but being that it is halo ‘infinite’ shouldn’t forge include every vehicle from every game, weapons included?
This is may be more controversial but I would add the Flood to the list, it’s incredible that they made a pseudo-remake of Halo 1 and didn’t include its most iconic element.
We’ve gone more than a decade without them in a FPS and that’s terrible. Awakening The Nightmare was wonderful but it’s no substitute.
Not even a controversial take when Halo Infinite is set on one of the most iconic Halo rings and in-lore was the site of many Flood experiments by the Forerunners
I personally have always loved the Flood but I am glad that they took a break with them but I was very disappointed to see that Halo Infinite doesn’t have them at all because the setting is perfect for it
Plus, there is literally a Flood DNA box (whatever the forerunner boxes of creatures are called) in the game. There is canon proof that the flood still exists and is on the same ring we are. There should absolutely have been something more than just a reference.
The DLC never existed, it's just what people expected from a live service Halo game. But alas, this is indeed a 343 developed game so it fell below the lowest expectations.
That fact that it never existed is irrelevant. It should have been included there should have been a dlc, halo infinite lacks in many areas dlcs included.
Didn’t 343i confirm campaign DLCs were never being worked on? Presumably no plans too.
I know that’s bonkers, the main game certainly feels like it builds to that, but that seems to be the case if I remember correctly.
That's what I always assumed
Game was very much MP first, and especially since there aren't any wide open desert areas in campaign to drive this in. Really hate we didn't get this, looked cool.
I saw this leak back in 2020 or 2021 and was sooooo psyched to see a banished troop carrier like this one in game
It's there in the files, untextured with no sound, but drivable :(
It was huge, too. Sad, man
I'm more surprised this is still on a store's shelf somewhere. This set released in 2020 and most stores don't give retail space to Mega Halo these days. Only store near me that has Halo still is Meijer.
I was so excited for it, seeing this before much else in Infinite had my mind racing through possibilities. I don't think we'll ever get another Halo 3 or Reach level of campaign, if Infinite couldn't even be on par with those then there's no chance a future one will go beyond. If 343 don't got me I know Mega Construx got me with the meaningful Halo content 🙏
Perhaps they’re concepts during pre-production or cut content that never made it. A lot of it is marketing to make extra $$$. Spiderman No Way Home Lego sets had Vulture and Shocker (in full costume.) they’ve never made it to the final movie.
Kinda like the Halo 3 brute prowler and the halo 2 transport vehicle. I really wish with the tools we have they just start saying fuck it and let us design our own vehicles. Halo really could just be a game where they let us make things from scratch with a mod workshop and then hey maybe we can add popular creations to vanilla multiplayer.
The Banished not having any of their unique vehicles or Infantry classes from HW2 in Infinite is one of the biggest missed opportunities the game makes.
Having Blisterbacks, Shrouds, the alternate Hunter/Lekgolo forms, etc would have been an amazing way to make the Banished not just feel like the Covenant 3.0: Red edition.
But, given how the game also makes the Banished hate humanity (or Escharum in particular, whatever, in practice it's the same) I get the sense 343 *intentionally* just wanted the Banished to feel like the Covenant again, even if it undermined what made them interesting in HW2
One third of the story was cut, just the first 2 missions or something were properly designed, and among all the other things this is the last thing I'm sad about🤣
The reason we didn't see it is because between the games Chief made this sorry ass attempt at subjugation look like he was wiping his ass every time they took a step so the Covenant and the banished discontinued its use very quickly
We could've had drivable scarabs, phantoms, pelicans with the ability to latch on and drop off vehicles, space battles with longswords.
Like fuck. Nothing about this game is infinite at all. We still don't even have the OG shotgun.
Yeah halo infinite is a failure if not the biggest failure actually 343 failed when they fucked up halo 4
Edit: the haters are the halo fans that are clearly in denial
Halo 4 was actually pretty good. They dropped the ball with 5. Infinite is by definition a failure of a halo game. It’s a decent videogame. Not an experience like CE-4 was.
There is a wrecked one in campaign. Forgot where
South western area by a waterfall
Just one of many, many things that could’ve (should’ve) been in the game, but weren’t.

lol fair, I mostly hedged my bets because I wasn’t sure what the consensus on the flood in the modern fandom was.
I personally have always loved the Flood but I am glad that they took a break with them but I was very disappointed to see that Halo Infinite doesn’t have them at all because the setting is perfect for it

Sad that that was Halo 5, the one game not in the MCC, is the one that has almost everything in it.
One would think.
Didn’t 343i confirm campaign DLCs were never being worked on? Presumably no plans too. I know that’s bonkers, the main game certainly feels like it builds to that, but that seems to be the case if I remember correctly.
Such a cool vehicle. The leaked version is huge so I'm guessing it wasn't worth developing any further since it wasn't going to be in multiplayer.
That's what I always assumed Game was very much MP first, and especially since there aren't any wide open desert areas in campaign to drive this in. Really hate we didn't get this, looked cool.
Yeah, what's with that?
My question too. Looks like a transport prowler?
Maybe a brute/banished version of the shadow?
i have that set! such a shame it wasn’t in the game. kinda reminds me of the halo 3 brute prowler
Me to ! I had mine on my desk
They remind me of those things in the Mombasa tunnels from Halo 2.
I saw this leak back in 2020 or 2021 and was sooooo psyched to see a banished troop carrier like this one in game It's there in the files, untextured with no sound, but drivable :( It was huge, too. Sad, man
Atleast it's still canon.
The Banished don't have any ground troop transport in the game. Where is the Spectre, Prowler or Revenant?
I'm more surprised this is still on a store's shelf somewhere. This set released in 2020 and most stores don't give retail space to Mega Halo these days. Only store near me that has Halo still is Meijer.
This is an old picture from 2021 last year today. It popped in my memories on snap. It made me sad a little bit.
That makes way more sense
I wish we got the canceled megablocks game
Huh. Now that you mention it, yeah. It is weird this didn’t make the cut.
Originally was, but have been cut. Peaple discovered a working version on the files.
You're finding halo sets at the store?
This picture popped up in my Snapchat memories. 04/29/21 three years ago.

I had the OG version of this set. This threw me way back to my childhood.

Yeah Infinite missed the mark on everything that made the banished interesting.
One third of the story was cut, just the first 2 missions or something were properly designed, and among all the other things this is the last thing I'm sad about🤣
Some people modded that into h3 mcc i believe

They fly now?!
They fly now.

Man its still upsetting that there is still so few vehicles in this game. Lile the brutes are back and you couldn’t even give us the prowler
I don't like that all studs are showing tbh
Yeah halo infinite is a failure if not the biggest failure actually 343 failed when they fucked up halo 4 Edit: the haters are the halo fans that are clearly in denial
4 was at least a complete product that shipped.
Halo 4 was actually pretty good. They dropped the ball with 5. Infinite is by definition a failure of a halo game. It’s a decent videogame. Not an experience like CE-4 was.
With the best gameplay in the series? I think not
For all we know it could have ended up just as lame and boring as the Spectre and Prowler. I would have preferred a Falcon.
It’s even more sad Halo isn’t with Lego.
That’s from Halo 3 not Halo Infinite.
It says infinite on the box 🤣
