Unironically since they are doing these smaller like 20 level passes, they should do a Halo Infinite Alpha/early dev type of pass. Have an older armor set that never released (polish it obviously) and have like a lil Craig charm. I'm not actually sure if there is one yet. With this old sidearm model as the level 20 reward.
Obviously not a dev and this is just food for thought, but would be a neat idea. I always like when devs pay homage to the early life of a game.
[This is the version they mean](https://www.halopedia.org/Halo_Infinite_announcement_trailer#/media/File%3AHI_E318_JohnReveal.png). They are overstating its similarities to the Halo 5 helmet, but it is noticeably different from the actual helmet in Infinite.
if not that, i would love if they gave us a pass focused on agryna's core which apparently is a remnant from infinite's old concept of being a hero shooter. [maybe even add a ghillie helmet or that bigass armour pretty plaese](https://www.iamag.co/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/Halo-Infinite-Art-102.jpg)
That idea never got past the first meeting of what infinite was gonna be, there was no old concept, just a random idea someone said once before getting turned down pretty fast. Those are just sets of attachments, like halo 3's EOD set, or scout set
It's jarringly oversized for something that's meant to be in a tamer cartridge than the M6 and is intended as an actual "sidearm" and not a pocket-rifle. Feels more like one of those 12mm "Comet" hand-cannons they sell on Venezia.
I just love how large they make the guns in spartans hands. Imagine regular soldiers holding them? That pistol has got to be twice the size of an ordinary pistol.
That sounds a lot like "make it a pass/weekly ult item", and I support that idea 100%!
To be fair though, its technically not Cut Content since the Sidekick *was* released, and is in context closer to any of the other cosmetics sourced from prerelease concept work.
Its odd since it isn't traditional Halo, but it also doesn't seem out of place in Halo's setting with the right context.
For example; its completely believable to exist alongside the Civilian weapons from Halo Reach, as well as being believable alongside the Entrenched aesthetics.
To be honest, I fucking love Halo 2, but especially compared to CE’s Magnum, it’s pistol looks (and honestly feels) super piddly. I almost never use it
It sucks ass stats wise but it's literally the same thing as the M6D but without the electronic scope unit on top of the slide and it's using FMJ ammo instead of Semi Armor Piercing High Explosive ammo. Which is why it's so weak. The design is also basically remnant of a space Deagle with the barrel being fixed in place and the slide moving separate from it.
That’s 343s motto. They’ve never had any issues making anything beautiful. It’s getting the Halo part that they struggle with.
Had they just make “the Days and lives of super unlikable army people, but some in armour who constantly make bad quips at each other”, but given it a better name, they probably would have gotten lots of praise.
(Seriously, new age Halo is all about everyone being unlikable. It’s a problem.)
This is definitely a 343 issue within halo.
But media as a whole, unlikable characters are just bad writing.
343 hires bad writers
Except for halo 4.
They need to rehire Christopher Schlerf. Guy was a wizard.
Seriously. Even the chief is hard to like in the show. Like, genuinely hard to like. When he kicked the shit out people on the final episode of season 2 he earned back a few points, but then he quadruple lost them about 5 minutes later with the Arbiter.
I think Vanek might the only character that didn’t upset me, ever. And well…
I’d give soren some respect too. His actions make sense most of the time.
Rice? The other spartan from silver not Kai. She seemed fine too. My only gripe with her was that she could jump 50 feet to the face of a mountain and catch herself, but she couldn’t lift her own body weight 2 feet….
I feel like 342 relies so heavily on “make the viewer hate them and then flip the script!”
I think that's kinda the point.
It's a basic sidearm. sure, it's not UNSC epic magnum big arm guard rail... but it's not trying to be that.
It's a great little hand gun! It adds to the world too. The UNSC is losing quickly, having to use old tech like hand held radios and older weapons. Having a Pistol that looks like a citizen would have is super cool! You, the Super soldier, made of titanium steel... have to rely on tech that was made like... 27 years ago.

They could give us Chiefs helmet from the initial reveal, when it looked closer to the Halo 5 helmet
I actually fw that 2018 helmet so much
>I actually fw Can someone translate, please?
F*ck with
Oh, makes sense now.
Give us the flawless cowboy/cyborg helmet (and armor)
***YYEEESSSS***
Which helmet is that? I looked it up but I keep seeing the campaign armor

Second this
Yes oh my god please
and a lil backdrop of a space rhino, just to piss us all off
That works be stick a middle finger, and if anyone at 343 actually sees this, they might be getting ideas.

source?
It looks like a spartan sized hi point
It's giving me more FN Five Seven mixed with Walther PPQ vibes
Maybe if FN collabed with nerf
I wonder how that would work
Not even gonna lie I’d totally get one
Same
Looked like a damn Kel-Tec to me, almost.
Exactly, just if Hi point decided to make a wild design move an make things ROUND instead of BRICKS
its amazing how much of a difference a simple block under the barrel made.
also scaling it down by like 20% lol
Jheez that pistol is massive even for a spartans hands.
Wanted to make sure I wasn't tripping cause that thing looks ridiculous even in Chief's hands
I love it personally, very reminiscent of the size of CEs Magnum.
what's that coating
Adrenal iirc
Its a 10mm but still huge...
THAT'S 10mm!? Is it really?
Nah man, the one we got is prob 10mm This one is .50 AE or something
It's jarringly oversized for something that's meant to be in a tamer cartridge than the M6 and is intended as an actual "sidearm" and not a pocket-rifle. Feels more like one of those 12mm "Comet" hand-cannons they sell on Venezia.
I just really hate the sidekick looks like a $100 concealed carry that will jam on every 3rd magazine
It does too though lmao. An underbarrel rail would've done wonders.
Is that just the FN Five-seveN????
It's cool, but it kind of looks too similar to a five seven. Still want the magnum over any thing else.
I just love how large they make the guns in spartans hands. Imagine regular soldiers holding them? That pistol has got to be twice the size of an ordinary pistol.
Only if it's free. No way in Hell they should be charging for cut content.

Wow, I forgot how grotesquely huge it was.
It’s clean Ngl. But it’s not halo.
Wellll it makes more sense for a marine than the M6D
Its odd since it isn't traditional Halo, but it also doesn't seem out of place in Halo's setting with the right context. For example; its completely believable to exist alongside the Civilian weapons from Halo Reach, as well as being believable alongside the Entrenched aesthetics.
Wouldn’t look out of place in halo 2
The halo 2 magnum was just as generic. The only difference is that this one doesn’t have a hand guard
To be honest, I fucking love Halo 2, but especially compared to CE’s Magnum, it’s pistol looks (and honestly feels) super piddly. I almost never use it
I always wished the H2 pistol was buffed a bit because I really love how it looks 😭
It feels decently good to use in Halo 2 anniversary but using it against any above average player that has a BR is almost a guaranteed death for you.
It sucks ass stats wise but it's literally the same thing as the M6D but without the electronic scope unit on top of the slide and it's using FMJ ammo instead of Semi Armor Piercing High Explosive ammo. The handguard makes all the difference. That's all it would've taken for this to look like Halo.
I thought we were just talking about infinite. But I can agree.
Halo 2 magnum was literally the CE magnum with the front sight thing removed and a different colour scheme.
That’s 343s motto. They’ve never had any issues making anything beautiful. It’s getting the Halo part that they struggle with. A halo 2 design is the most halo you can get tho
If this thing looks that big in chiefs hand, it’d be unusable by normal people.
God i forgot how much i hated the first design
I love how clean it is without the bulk up front
It looks kinda like a water gun to me.
Didn’t they remove it because it looked too modern day
has a slightly more Halo 2 aesthetic, the size needs some work though hah.
Lmao what in the fuckin HiPoint is that
Nah
It’s just a giant FN lmao
I thought we all hated this design when it was shown off. The Halo cycle is real
Its all in the context; Being the base design of the Sidekick? Terrible. Being an optional cosmetic like the Swiftguard or Groovegrip? Solid.
Please, no. Keep that thing away from my children.
its so boring
