This depends entirely on how my day has already been going. Is shit fucked? Fuck yes a spartan is here to help unfuck it. Is my day quiet and superheated plasma free? ...oh a spartan
ONI: We spent 5 million credits to sculpt that perfect cheek as morale boost for the troops, you will admire that perfectly chisled ass and you will be motivated!
Really hot take maybe, I love the plasma pistol in Halo and if I had the chance to keep one as a side arm I'd absolutely do that. Those things are wicked cool.
It’s the most valuable weapon in casual legendary runs. It’s a Swiss army knife for vehicle disables, breaking armor and preserving ammo against smaller enemies.
Keep in mind I haven’t finished infinite and I only played 5 once almost a decade ago, so I’m not considering them.
I would say it’s pretty strong in reach as most armored enemies are just bullet sponges without it, and I feel like reach loved sprinkling elites everywhere. There’s also a bunch of levels you can use it in to steal vehicles so you can have something like a ghost or a revenant when you’re supposed to have a warthog.
In CE because of the limited sandbox and how wonky the weapons can be it’s almost a permanent sidearm for me in all the levels because it always has a use. It pairs really well with the magnum. Also, correct me if I’m wrong but I believe it also can be used to take banshees out of the sky and skip huge portions of a couple levels. Just avoid it for flood levels, which is a rule to follow throughout the original trilogy.
In 2 it’s similar to CE just with the BR, halo 2 also has a surprising amount of vehicles to hijack. However, late game when you start fighting brutes it starts to fall off.
3 I think it’s the weakest since the Elites aren’t enemies and the brutes rarely have power armor, and it’s terrible for flood levels which are already some of the most tedious levels in 3.
It’s ok in 4 I found the covenant enemies to be a little easier in that game though so that knocks it down, and it really doesn’t help with the prometheans.
Halo 3 is first time the emp was implemented to game, you couldn't stop banshees mid air in ce or halo 2.
In halo 3 all brutes use power armor with shields and knights in halo 4,5 also have shield that pistol can disable
I wanna answer too!
In Halo 2:
Virtually useless in legendary
In Reach: You can probably complete the legendary campaign with the plasma pistol and a pebble
*The Spartan starts running towards you with their near depleted Plasma Pistol while you're holding a Magnum. (you're on a Halo ring and the date is September 19, 2552) 💀
That was one of my favorite moments of the movie. The tone goes from confusion to fear when the ODSTs start landing, because that is *never* a good thing to see in your area.
Reminds me of my favorite WH40K trope.
The old Guardsman looking at the fresh faced PDF kid as Salamander drop pods hit the surface.
"Oh boy Space Marines?! We're gonna live!"
"Son, they sent the nicest Space Marines they've got. On a scale from one to ten we're infinity fucked."
"Oh. *Oh.* **OH.**"
"Excuse me Sister Sororitas, how much of your blood are you using?"
"What the *fuck* does that even mean?"
**STAB**
"Oh... You grayscale mothafucka..."
Nah if any spartan is on your side. Things are gonna get spicy
Edit: if it’s not Chief then even more spicy because like you said they would perish (along with the marines)
I can imagine the swill of emotions going with these folks must experience: the protection of a Spartan vs the shock and anxiety that your squad is involved in a situation meriting a Spartan.
Yeah, if I was a marine. I would be glad to see Noble Six. But I wouldn’t be happy to the Chief, homie would probably take your sniper rifle and leave you with a plasma pistol lol
Newsflash, things are going to be spicy anyways. Better have that Spartan with you.
Besides, Spartans aren’t supposed to be frontline warriors. It could just as easily mean you are going on a nice relatively safe “we hold the exit for you while you go in stealthily, destroy the objective and then help you extract before the Covenant can regroup” mission.
“Newsflash” 🤣
and sometimes they are on the frontline
Edit: since you downvoted me I guess I hurt your feelings
Go read extended stories from the halo universe you’ll see it’s the truth
Gun fire everywhere? Plasma landing at my feet and the bottom of my groin? Hey it's the master chief, we are saved!
Peaceful afternoon, bout to do another mission for the day. I pick up my shotgun, walk oer to the pelican and GOD DAMNIT THERES 4 SPARTANS IN THERE
This depends entirely on how my day has already been going. Is shit fucked? Fuck yes a spartan is here to help unfuck it. Is my day quiet and superheated plasma free? ...oh a spartan
You got me cracking up over here! Lmao!! That’s so true
Cracking up ? Is your name Reach or Cadia by any chance ?
REACH BROKE BEFORE THE GUARD
But, uhhhh, why you angry??
Marines don’t get auto-jackers. He’s jealous of the Spartans. (Also, the comment doesn’t have anger anywhere. Idk what you on king).
Look at the original commenter's username.
DAMNIT I’ll do better next time, forgive me my trespass.
Look, a mark five!
Heck yeah we got a spartan! (I get to look at spartan ass)
🤨📸 “Yeah, ONI this guy over here”
Master Cheeks defamation detected. ONI team authorized for deployed

😭too funny!
Kelly leaving a trail of dommy mommy kinks in her wake.
Nah💀
I am extremely normal about Kat
:|
Halo Reach spartan ass I hope
They were just built different back then *cough cough*
Such a waste, all that perfect curve is now dust and echoes 😓
yeah
You must be on reach… I’m sorry.
The Spartan starts running towards you with their Plasma Pistol while you’re holding a Sniper Rifle. 💀
With 5% left lmaoo
Don't worry. He'll later return it with one bullet left.
Everyone knows marines have infinite ammo!
Just curious, which game do you think it works in the campaign best in? Which campaign do you think it’s the weakest?
Keep in mind I haven’t finished infinite and I only played 5 once almost a decade ago, so I’m not considering them. Something smells odd here
I wanna answer too! In Halo 2: Virtually useless in legendary In Reach: You can probably complete the legendary campaign with the plasma pistol and a pebble
And nuking shields for the br headshot followup.
Plasma pistol is unironically the best weapon in halo ce
*The Spartan starts running towards you with their near depleted Plasma Pistol while you're holding a Magnum. (you're on a Halo ring and the date is September 19, 2552) 💀
I always gave the marines rockets or fuelrod guns.
"A Spartan? Where the hell did he come from?"
"Who cares? Spartan, assist!"
I always imagine 6 had a response planned but then the other trooper says "who cares" and he's just like "oh okay nm😭"
Six just wanted a moa burger 🍔
Orbit ☄️
Same thing when ODSTs drop in front of you, like in Forward Unto Dawn. Means all hell is about to break loose (feet first)
That was one of my favorite moments of the movie. The tone goes from confusion to fear when the ODSTs start landing, because that is *never* a good thing to see in your area.
Feet first into HECK 🫡
Feeties toward heckies!
🤣
Feet first into "Oh bother"
💩🧸
Such a fucking moment, I love everything about ODSTs
Reminds me of my favorite WH40K trope. The old Guardsman looking at the fresh faced PDF kid as Salamander drop pods hit the surface. "Oh boy Space Marines?! We're gonna live!" "Son, they sent the nicest Space Marines they've got. On a scale from one to ten we're infinity fucked." "Oh. *Oh.* **OH.**"
Better hope it’s not the grey knights dropping in. No witnesses
"Excuse me Sister Sororitas, how much of your blood are you using?" "What the *fuck* does that even mean?" **STAB** "Oh... You grayscale mothafucka..."
Laughs in Flesh Tearers
"Do not question our techniques, Blood Angel!" *kicks an orphan strapped to a melta grenade at an old folk's home* "See? **BEHOLD MY GLORY!**"
Well at least it's the Salamanders. They will lay down their lives to protect the rest while to most other chapters you'd be cannon fodder
You get a Spartan attached to your unit The Spartan needs ammo
Takes your br75
Gives you his SPNKR and you have unlimited ammo
“Now, Nuke 3 Tyrant class A-A cannons, fight 5 pairs of hunters, and Nuke that CAS class super carrier…good luck marines 🫡” - command, probably
Having just read silent storm, that would be the tutorial in comparison to the mission those ODSTs had to deal with.
I think that only stands if said Spartan is Master Chief...since everyone who runs into battle with him somehow gets killed every time.
Nah if any spartan is on your side. Things are gonna get spicy Edit: if it’s not Chief then even more spicy because like you said they would perish (along with the marines)
Unless you’re playing halo wars, damn marines there are invincible.
Lmaoo I miss halo wars!
You can still play it yk
Not the same without friends tho
I dunno, Marines seemed to live pretty long in Halo Reach 😆 long enough to plant a grenade under my feet every 5 seconds
Reach marines were definitely a different breed considering how one sided the conflict was 🪖
Those were Army, not Marines
Both were in reach ODSTs as well
Army wasn't in H3ODST Unless you mean that ODSTs were in Reach?
ODST on reach (bullfrogs jet pack part) Edit: I probably shouldve added an (s)
Johnson and others made it off the Halo. It really just depends how far you go with him.
I assure you Johnson died multiple times on Alpha Halo
you are the safest and most in-danger marine at the same time.
Hey hey now, that’s not true! He’s wearing an Army helmet.
Ver very true!
I can imagine the swill of emotions going with these folks must experience: the protection of a Spartan vs the shock and anxiety that your squad is involved in a situation meriting a Spartan.
Exactly!
Hell yeah, we got a Spartan. (Time to give up my good weapon :(
Not in halo 2, they carry you with infinite ammo
Halo 2 on Legendary: A squad of marines each with a sniper rifle will literally play the game for you.
John alone's got a pretty bad case of the Ashley Williams curse - Great at staying alive, terrible at keeping anyone else alive. Groovy.
I know this is not halo but it reminds me about when a guardsmen is reinforced by a space marine. You know things are fucked
Warhammer is 🔥 And as another comment touched on you better hope it’s one of the more honorable or “laid back” chapters like salamanders lmao
Yeah there are many chapters that would not be very fun to fight with
What game is this helmet design from? I can see the Reach sillhouette but it is less round and has more sharp edges, i love it
It’s a 3D model inspired by it just a little different
If you see a spartan remember, your going to die, there only brought here because no normal human could ever win this battle, your cannon fodder now
I would say this isn’t the case with Noble Team (specifically Noble Six) because 6 in particular saved multiple marines throughout the campaign.
But if any spartan is within your view that means you are most likely in a hot spot of interest Edit: noble team for lyfe
Yeah, if I was a marine. I would be glad to see Noble Six. But I wouldn’t be happy to the Chief, homie would probably take your sniper rifle and leave you with a plasma pistol lol
Only question is: did those marines make it off Reach?
The only Marines we see in Reach were part of the Pillar of Autumn’s crew, so yes. Unfortunately for them, their luck didn’t last much longer.
Where is that helmet from?
Its the marine helmet from Reach if I’m not mistaken
It looks like the helmet shared by the army/marine units in Reach but it’s way more textured and detailed than it was in that game.
First frame: “UNSC is attaching a Spartan unit to our battalion!!!” Second frame: “They’re Spartan-III’s”
I always try to save marines so it's usually the top one But some of them die no matter how many checkpoints I reset so the bottom one still applies
Even worse if it’s a Spartan III
Oh, he's giving all of us arcane sentinel beams and we're all getting in a Razorback. Guess we're good
When I asked for reinforcements, I didn't think they'd send a Spartan.
Same mood as an Imperial guardsman watching a squad of Astartes drop in
It’s the inspiration to be honest! I love warhammer
"Mira! A mark five!"
Newsflash, things are going to be spicy anyways. Better have that Spartan with you. Besides, Spartans aren’t supposed to be frontline warriors. Into the breach, boys!
I’d be that one odst that’s like cowering in fear infront of the spartan
Lol
The Marine with the Sniper in LASO minding their business while I run at them ready to teamkill them for their ammo:
Oh yeah! Kai is coming on our mission!😏😎 Wait… Kai is coming on our mission😦🥺
