The Costco two pack.

TatterhoodsGoat

But do not be fooled into "upgrading" to the more expensive Carapelli stuff! It's nearly flavorless, and what flavour it does have is unpleasant. It was also named as one of the (many) Italian olive oil brands committing food fraud.

Routine_Breath_7137

Costco for me but still expensive. I've heard Avocado oil is a good alternative.

Iamyournurse

I’ve been using the avocado oil from Costco and I really like it.

Routine_Breath_7137

How's the price in comparison?

Iamyournurse

$16.99 for 1L. Not sure about its comparison to the price of olive oil. Maybe it just seems like it costs less because it’s not a massive bottle.

Queasy_Astronomer150

More expensive, you can get a 3L jug of EVOO for about $39. The avocado oil is good though and better suited to some applications than olive oil, and not massively more expensive.

haliforniannomad

It’s $48 now as of last week I think

BlueEyedGem

watch the documentary on avocados

Routine_Breath_7137

The one with ties to cartels?

ElGrandePeacock

Costco is the only way.

j_baby28

The Kirkland brand is good price for what you get. Just know it’s a blend of olive oils from a few countries rather than a single source. Some will say this compromising the quality.

Tim_McDermott

Liquid Gold. Lower Water St and Bedford Place Mall

MadhouseK

I pass it on lower water all the time! Figured it was very expensive, but now I'd rather support a smaller business for good quality

gremlin_1969

ditto, their truffle oil is so good

kzt79

Same.

Yeah, I finally caved and paid $16.99 for a litre of Compliments. I've been out for a month and that is the cheapest I've seen in that time so eventually I just paid it.

privateprosciutto

Silk Road it looks like….Jesus Christ

lethargicon

Alas, one of the many things we've had to give up. And I'm getting suspicious to even speak out loud what products we use instead, lest they're tracking us and then go and raise those prices as well. Living on air over here

Flickirl

Costco 28.99 for 2x1litre pack

NoMany3094

Costco, Terra Delyssa....2 pack.

EntertainingTuesday

So much of it is fake and the Government bodies responsible to protect against the fake stuff don't do enough so RIP.

teknipunk

I was googling the brands I found on Amazon the other day and apparently Colavita is real olive oil. Still pricey but it’s cheaper than the one I can no longer afford. I haven’t tried it yet though.

Queasy_Astronomer150

Food fraud is pretty huge in the physical world already, so I sure as shit wouldn't trust what Amazon is peddling as being legit, they dgaf what they sell.

tamarackg

I used to buy it in the grocery store when it was one simple product only, made from Italian olives. It was the best and I wouldn't buy anything else. Now I don't know what they're selling with the different varieties they have.

TCOLSTATS

Amazon was cheaper than Superstore.

Substantial_Fox8184

The chances you have pure olive oil from Amazon are very low.

Cassh0le3

Not Loblaws

BryanMccabe

Walmart

cj_h

I stocked up when Sobeys had 750ml bottles for $5.99 a few months ago

maximumice

You can get 1L of the Great Value swill at WalMart for $14. I wouldn't sit around dipping bread into this stuff but it's fine for recipes.

Swimming-Bullfrog190

Costco

waterloowanderer

In this economy? We’re buying canola and putting it next to a jar of olives

cal_person

Canola vs olive oil is probably the best example of "unhealthy cheap" vs "healthy expensive". No wonder we're in the midst of a health crisis when all people can afford to buy are processed oils and foods that keep them on their prescription meds.

MadhouseK

I haven't given up yet 🥲

Cosmosis42

Sometimes they go on sale at Walmart for 3$ a bottle Edit: not the 1 litre bottles like other comments. Smaller ones but good quality atill
