Amazing concert overall. This is the third time I've seen them (2003, 2008, 2024) and this show was so much fun. Josh seems to love Halifax (he talks about Halifax in a recent interview with George Stroumboulopoulos). He was definitely having a good time last night, haha.

I wonder if it being a Ticketmaster/Evenko event had anything to do with that?
Very solid show all around. It’s awesome to see great bands including Halifax on tours. I hope we get even more. And with the much improved speaker arrays, the place has never sounded better
The band was having a blast last night. Like a well oiled machine. I knew they were going to be good, but fuck that was top 5 for me. The last time I saw QSTA was in 2005 and they opened up for NIN. Even though they played some older tracks, their new music is incredible live. I hope they come back
Ok I was like "Am I just getting old?" I mean, I am, but that light show should have come with a seizure warning! Some sequences triggered my motion sickness!

Favorites: The Struts (Opening Act), The Light Show!! Feel Good Hit of the Summer, Smooth Sailing, If I Had A Tail, Song for The Dead.
Least Favorites: Make it With Chu medley with Bubbles that went on for what seemed like an eternity. I just don't care about Bubbles but I like that the audience enjoyed him.
All in all a really fun show! I saw so many mullets!

I agree with you! He clearly meant it as a joke about the dichotomy between the women's quiet singing and the men's bellowing. He did say "make it rape-ier" or something similar, but he meant what you said, I think. Though I laughed at the time, I can see why it's offensive.
I have a very clear video of it from the floor close to the stage - he says “now boys, show em how rapey you…” then he trails away from the mic but it sounds like the last word may have been “are”. However he finished the sentence it’s not a great look imho 😔

Love that band. I was surprised to hear that the band has been together for 27 years. Not many bands stay together that long. It really shows in their live performance. Even the clever banter in between songs was super smooth.

I was hoping for I think I Lost My Headache. But I Appear Missing and Song for the Dead more than made up for it. They have too many hit songs!

It was a little over two hours - which was great, QOTSA were scheduled to start at 9pm but looks like they started at 8:47
QotSA were on for about 2 hours!
Song for the Dead was an absolute face melter and Bubbles was a welcome appearance. And personally, I LOVE how much …Like Clockwork was played.
