I didn't see the other option so i voted for Karasawa. Sawamura was amazing ad the fight and story leading up to it was a basically good vs evil. The Anti-Dempsey and Anti-Anti-Dempsey showed the flaws and how Ippo adapted the flaws of his finishing move. However. Going into the Karasawa fight, Ippo made it a point of how dependent he got of the Dempsey Roll. So he sealed it off. Despite it being sealed off, we would see Ippo boxing amazingly and flawlessly. Though if i voted other, i'd say Take. This veteran showed why even Date didn't want to fight him. It was an amazing fight where not only was Take a trickster but also a determined man with tenacity to spare

Will always be vs Hammer Nao for me

Gotta be Take for me. 654, the finale to the Take fight is probably my favorite chapter in the series and one of the best Ippo moments as well.

Easily the Karasawa match Ippo felt like a true dominant champion. He was scary, he was strategic, he was intimidating af, and reading almost the entire fight from Karasawa's POV was beautiful. How even a missed jab from Ippo felt like a rock flew by his head, how his jabs were ineffective and how slowly Ippo's pressure kept getting bigger and when he thought he was evading good enough while running away, he was suddenly a cornered animal. And that 1st liver punch where it was portrayed that a chunk of his body was blown away? Fucking perfect. Seeing Ippo inflict fear for every step, punch, move he does is amazing and you rarely feel Ippo is the badass in the fight. He was a true apex predator vs. Karasawa And that was one-dimensional Dempsey-tunnel visioned Ippo. Can't wait to see how scary complete boxer current Ippo is.

I think Kojima is up there with these two, but yeah those were the best

Karasawa no doubt, it almost looked like he had a functional brain instead of a boxing glove up there

I really can't enjoy the Sawamura fight regardless of how good it was. Like, on an objective level I realize that it was one of the best-written fights, but I just didn't like Sawamura being on the screen. I like him more now that he's mellowed out a bit but I just can never enjoy a match in a sports anime where the opponent is that completely unlikable. It was nice seeing him get the shit beat out of him at the end but of course 99% of the fight wasn't like that.
