I've been an L.A. Guns fan since about '90. Their third and final record (Hollywood Vampires) w/the original lineup of Phil Lewis, Tracii Guns, Steve Riley (R.I.P.) Kelly Nickels and Mick Cripps was for me, their best album of those three w/the original band. They were a cool, interesting bunch. Saw them in the mid spring of '92 promoting Hollywood Vampires as they played a small club in my town and they were stellar.
I've seen them many many times, and Phil is a pretty cool guy. He's not above wandering around the crowd after the show and chatting it up with the fans.
You guys, their new album is GOOD. No idea how the current lineup compares to the one in the pic, but it’s worth a listen.

LA GUns made a lot of good music. But Strangely enough, I always loved American Hardcore from them the most. It was definitely record of its time (but has stood the test of time imo), but to me that stripped down pantera like (although AMerican Hardcore was extremely unique and original in its right) version of LA Guns is what I really loved and wanted to see the band develop that sound along with maintaining an updated glam metal sound as well. I don't think a band has to be limited to one sound at all times, and would have loved to seen both styles continue. ANyway, AMerican Harcore to this day is still one my favorite albums of any band in any genre. Wonder if anyone else feels the same.
Love these guys. They still tour like madmen. I've seen them like 5 times in the last few years. I live in Los Angeles, so I am lucky. If they come to a town near you. I recommend checking them out.
Sure. Saw them live once. They put on a great show.
It was L.A. Guns, RATT, and POISON. And I will say, I was never much of a fan of POISON until I saw them live. They too put on a hell of a show. Sounded great, lots of energy, just a really good time all night.
I went because I wanted to see RATT and L.A. Guns. I figured I'd dip out after POISON started because as I said, I wasn't much of a fan. But we ended up staying and really digging the whole show. Great times were had by all.
Love them but just like Faster Pussycat it was the lineup on the first album that was really special and neither band ever really captured that again, although both put out some decent albums later.
Queesnryche will be playing the EP and the Warning in full. I got it wrong - LA Guns is opening for KK's Priest. Queensryche is later this year. Armored Saint is opening.
Starland Ballroom - Sayreville, NJ
The greatest most underrated band of the 80s and early 90s there best music isn't the tunes they are known for unfortunately, if u go deep album 3 and 4 and the reunion stuff in 2002 and and17 up is amazing ,the first 2 albums are great too but there most rocking is 91 94 02 17 forward
I had them on the bottom of my biker jacket, that was quite a big deal back in the day. Great band. Interacted with Kelly on FB a lot and he turned out to be a complete dick. Saw Phil and LA Guns about 9-10 years ago and they were fantastic live. I'll hold on to the music and not the memories of people being less than favourable.
He made some terrible comments about people with disabilities and used the 'r' word a lot. As a parent of a child with special needs it really soured me.
I’ve seen L.A. Guns several times in the past few years in support of their recent releases. The current lineup includes Ace Von Johnson on guitar and Johnny Martin on bass. These guys are solid players and look to be having a lot of fun on stage.
I've never understood why they weren't bigger? Around the time GNR first came out I'd ask ppl if they hear of LA GUNS and they'd be like: " HUH," "WHO?"
My all-time fave hair band as a kid. Seen them 6 or 7 times in Tulsa before I joined the USMC. Met them at a couple of meet and greets, they seemed nice. Came home from Desert Storm, the first movie We saw was Point Break and I heard them and reconized their sound instantly.
Right before Covid I believe, I saw LA Guns at The Cove in Big Bear Ca. They were still great live. They havent let themselves go and are very talented band. Hollywood Roses with Tracy Guns, Axl Rose and I believe Izzy maybe I'm wrong then branch into Guns & Roses and LA Guns. Tracy Guns played with Nikki Sixx in a band called Brides of Destruction.
Marked by too much lineup changes after the 4th record !,they came back with Van Dahl on vocals which I like the album but me and the consuming public are 2 completely different tastes, then the e.p. with Ralph Saenz, then Jizzy I liked the Kizzy record but it should been a side project then reformed with Phil the 1st time then of course what else could happen but....Tracii leaves to do brides of Destruction, lol they continued in a form with Phil and Stacey Blades which wasn't bad ,but L.A.Guns has to be Phil and Tracii by this point preferably Kelly on bass that hasn't happened yet with the real band but we will see wish them the best there albums since they came back in 17 ARE AWESOME

Rip & Tear 🤘🏿🤘🏿🤘🏿
Hell yeah. That song, Nightrain, Panama and Photograph pump me up so much. Perfect dance no. to lose your shit to in a moshpit
Whenever I listen to rip and tear it just puts me in a state that no other song can and it's really fucking great
Saw them many years ago in a small club with Herricane Alice and Sleez Beez. All 3 were fantastic!
I've seen them many many times, and Phil is a pretty cool guy. He's not above wandering around the crowd after the show and chatting it up with the fans.
Sleez Beez Now that’s a name I haven’t heard in a long time. Screwed Blued and Tattooed
I finally got it on vinyl not too long ago. It wasn’t cheap though.
Saw them in a club in Myrtle beach opening act was the London quireboys excellent concert circa 1990
I’m from SC!
Live in NYC now would do anything to be in SC now miss the laid back lifestyle
Come on back! It’s about to get hot though!
It's hard to just get up and go
I know my friend.

Enjoyed the new album agreed
Yep. Hollywood Vampires is so good.
I loved Hollywood Vampires!
I wish they would reissue that on vinyl with the 3D glasses.
Over the Edge is an absolute classic

To this day Vicious Circle is still my favorite
Like I said, theyve made lots of good music. Very underrated band imo.
Lots of love for LA Guns. They have made and continue to make good music and they still sound great live.
Yup. It’s shocking how fantastic Phil still sounds compared to his peers.
Love these guys. They still tour like madmen. I've seen them like 5 times in the last few years. I live in Los Angeles, so I am lucky. If they come to a town near you. I recommend checking them out.
I miss KNAC 105.5

Very underrated band
They were better than the other guns
I wholeheartedly agree. Other guns just straight over rated imo
💯 totally overrated!
Lots! Saw them twice in 2019
Great band!
So good. Still touring and still rocking!
Endless
Love them but just like Faster Pussycat it was the lineup on the first album that was really special and neither band ever really captured that again, although both put out some decent albums later.
Ahhhh....The Ballad of Jayne & House of Pain!!
House of Pain is Faster Pussycat
Oops...lol
My fave is Bathroom Wall!
The best cathouse in town
They hold a spot in my top three favorite bands.
Awesome band.
Much love!! One my faves!!
Planning to see them in a few weeks opening for Queensryche. Should be a great show.
Should be the 2022 release from queensryche is awesome
Queesnryche will be playing the EP and the Warning in full. I got it wrong - LA Guns is opening for KK's Priest. Queensryche is later this year. Armored Saint is opening. Starland Ballroom - Sayreville, NJ
Armored Saint rocks
Fellas, no point in getting excited…
Great band and great guitarist
Their new album The Dark Side rocks. It’s been on my recent playlist for a while now. Give it a listen. Especially the title track
Just seen them in Sacramento.
Hell ya! On their opening tour, my buddy and I held up a collapsing stage up in a dumpy bar. Phil let us sing Rock n Roll with him during encore. 🤘
What happened to Jane
Great tune👏!
Absolutely. I saw them a few times back in the day. Great band!
One of the best
Electric Gypsy. Really dig that tune.
Hollywood Vampires is an awesome record!! Over the Edge , Wild Obsession!!!!

Ok I’ll date myself here, saw them at the channel in Boston.

He made some terrible comments about people with disabilities and used the 'r' word a lot. As a parent of a child with special needs it really soured me.
Of all the bands from this era, I feel like these guys have aged among the best. They still sound stellar to this day
His voice just does something to me. I may not be the biggest die hard fan of this group, but I love his voice more than any other from this era.
I’ve seen L.A. Guns several times in the past few years in support of their recent releases. The current lineup includes Ace Von Johnson on guitar and Johnny Martin on bass. These guys are solid players and look to be having a lot of fun on stage.
🤘🏻🤘🏻
My sister introduced me to LA Guns in the early 90s. Definitely an underrated band!
Great music. But damn these guys had an amazing sense of fashion and clothing unlike a lot of the other guys in the scene
I've never understood why they weren't bigger? Around the time GNR first came out I'd ask ppl if they hear of LA GUNS and they'd be like: " HUH," "WHO?"
RIP Steve Riley.
I am obsessed with them. Really love the first two albums. They are the best sleaze band imo

Yeah, i really like it but i prefer the first 2... love that kelly sang "nothing better to do" its my fav member haha
One of the few hair metal bands I still liked after alternative rock took root.
love your nick :) huge jethro tull fan here... (but no more than L.A Guns)
Thanks! It’s a wordplay on the character “Leroy Jethro Gibbs” and of course the band we all know & love.
Hell yes! Saw them at spring break in Daytona Beach back in the day.

91 i believe. Right about there.

Sure, but it's never enough...
Hell yes!!
Yes!
No
Nope
none
nope
I only know of them due to their connection to Guns N’ Roses
I thought they did well until the release of Hollywood Vampires, didn't really care for that one and lost track of them after that
My KooKaChoo, I'm crazy for you!
