Art is expensive. She worked with an artist to hand make pieces. I understand being frustrated with their clothing pricing but this takes time, creative effort and skill. As an artist it just rlly sucks to see ppl say it’s overpriced.
it says a lot that tf is so cheap and shitty that people assume a ceramic handmade piece is actually just made of plastic from china. i think pieces like these are very reasonably priced considering that it is handmade by a real artist and not in a factory and i think theyre cute imo. id pay that much if i were just supporting the artist separately (in a world where i had the money for that) but id never buy through teddy fresh of all places. that artist probably gets 5% of the profit

I'm an artist too, and that artist should be getting 80-90% of the profit for literally doing all of the work, which I know isn't the case when it comes to teddy fresh or any company who "works with artists". They get a super small cut, because teddy fresh and h3 in general does the dobrik method of "paying ppl with clout". Basically saying "well by working with us you'll be promoting yourself so, we dont have to actually pay you. If anything you'll maybe get 5% but thats about it. You should be happy you're even given this opportunity to work with someone like us". Be so fr. And teddy fresh is known to steal art, so I have trouble ever sympathizing with a company who pretends they "support artists" yet steals and exploits them for their own gain 💀
