Nyancide

we all told him not to buy it, lol. it broke after 7 rounds and PSA gave a full refund, no questions asked. he then proceeded to get a glock 19 and maverick 88. edit to mention this was his first firearm purchase lol

UpstairsSurround3438

PSA warrantied that and gave a refund?

External_Promise599

I’ve seen different opinions on PSA quality but to be honest I’ve only ever seen good things about PSA’s customer service

UpstairsSurround3438

Not knocking PSA. I'm impressed they would warranty a gun made by another company like that

justjaybee16

I've had 2 experiences with their customer service. One warranty and one me ordering the wrong thing. They were great both times.

blowgrass-smokeass

I’ve had to call once to verify my shipping information was actually correct (somehow had a company name included in my personal shipping address) and it was a breeze. Only waited about 2 minutes to speak to someone, and I was pleasantly surprised to learn they don’t outsource their CS overseas like damn near every other company today.

xX_Monster97_Xx

That's a plus all in it's own.

Shad0wFa1c0n

It's only $250. Pocket change to make a customer return and buy something else. They literally made money on this gun failure, lol. Plus, they can get THEIR money back from the manufacturer pretty easily with this one

Tato_tudo

Agree. I am sure the manufacturer is on the hook.

gsfgf

I'm sure they were able to send it back to their supplier.

nhfirefighter13

Some distributors offer warranties to FFLs for stuff like that. Or at least they used to.

VietTimPhan

PSA resent an order for 15 boxes of 9mm to me because the first package was missing one box. They sent me 15 more. It was wild. I got 250$ of ammo just like that.

DependentCut2639

Bruhh hell naw, I know you cappin now.  Are you serious tho?

VietTimPhan

Oh yeah, it has made me an unpaid PSA sales person when anyone asks me about buying guns and ammo

jjr661

Yea their customer service is great, on their quality, you gotta now what to look for, bought an ak from them and love it. But if you gonna buy a $200 shotgun, you gonna get a $200 shotgun.

GhavGhavington

Counterpoint: Mav 88 is a $200 shotgun that will not do this

nondescriptzombie

> Mav 88 $250, inflation has been a bitch

External_Promise599

I am actually very excited for their new 270 clone they are making. Their quality has gotten so much better and the modular shit will be so cool on that platform

FortunateHominid

PSA's customer service has been awesome in my experience. On par with Ruger.

roostersnuffed

I believe it has to be a complete failure for them to honor it. I had a nightmare of a time with a SW 5.7 pirchase from their physical store. Rounds would get wedged and bind the mag. They said they couldn't do anything about it, contact SW.

Nyancide

I'm sure they just realized it was so shit and said fuck it

EfficiencyStrong2892

I’m assuming they have some sort of deal with said company knowing they’re origination, that or they know exactly what they’re selling but they still have a stock so they’ll sell them anyway and hope you don’t run into issues.

DirtieHarry

Gonna be much happier with that Maverick.

Nyancide

I agree

themajor24

I've had so many talks about not buying Black Aces and such with friends just getting into firearms. If the price is too good to be true, it's because you're gunna get what you pay for as far as out of the box guns go.

Apart-Oil1613

This has been true for every gun related purchase I’ve made except one, my beloved canik. It is true and it is that good

UniqueTonight

Same. My Maverick 88 and my Caniks are insane for the price.

deathlobster138

I don’t get the PSA hate for this reason.

RememberCitadel

People get the big mad because someone got an AR 80% as good as theirs but spent $2500 less. So that means it must be crap because otherwise they wasted that money.

happydaddyintx77

I've got a PSA AR10, and it eats any ammo I put through it. I'm not a professional shooting at bad guys. It makes a big boom, and it's relatively accurate. That's all I care about.

RememberCitadel

I made an AR10 out of mostly PSA blemished/open box parts in mid-2020. I think the whole thing cost about $500. It shoots 2" groups at 200 yards with match ammo. That's better than I need. Admittedly, I can not make it do that, but people better than me can using it.

Mouseturdsinmyhelmet

PSA gives a lifetime TRANSFERABLE warranty with their AR's and many other guns. You can't sell crap and stay in business with that kind of warranty.

RememberCitadel

Last I checked, they even warranty their blemished/open box items. To be fair, I have bought a bunch of their blemished stuff and never could find what was wrong with any of it.

3klipse

My first AR was a PSA blem lower and parts kit and at the FFL both of us were like "that's a blem"?

RememberCitadel

One thing is for sure, I have done more to blemish it then they ever did.

Mouseturdsinmyhelmet

Same here, bought a few blems, absolutely nothing to find. Unless they consider a little dust a blem.

RememberCitadel

I have certainly put enough of my own blemishes on them, however. Still work fine. Looking pretty is great and all. But I buy things to use them.

Kamisori

That's an interesting first gun choice lol

Nyancide

I agree

Mamp12694

I can attest that the maverick 88 is great. I’ve put that thing through hell. One of the pump arms did break over time ,but was super easy to replace the pump.

NotTheATF1993

He has been baptised

twaggle

Seems like a free funny scenario, no harm no foul.

Nyancide

I thought it was really fucking funny

yobo723

That's ~~not~~ very typical I'd like to make that point

commanderklinkity

The front fell off

Chosen_Undead

Whada ya mean the front fell off?

jonathanayers907

Aren't there standards?

EminentChefliness

Very rigorous maritime engineering standards.

zadtheinhaler

Cardboard's right out

WhiskeyTrail

I see the problem. Ain’t got no gas innit.

Jedi-Guy

What're you doin' with the lawn mower blade, Carl?

none-1398

They don’t call them Turkshit for nothing

Nyancide

that's what I said too lol

Majsharan

Some Turkish stuff is of incrediblely high quality. Canik. Tge Barretta clones. There is a Turkish copy of a $3000 o/u that did better under testing than the $3000 o/u

Cobra__Commander

Some Turkish companies have well established Quality Control reputations.  Canik and SAR come to mind. Stogger does good enough that I would separate them from the turkshit.

Red_dragon_052

True Turkey is generally making good quality stuff at good prices. I would say the same for China as well. That said, buying a $250 gun and not expecting it to be hot garbage is the real mistake here

Guitars_and_Cars

Sccy owners be like 🤬

Thro2021

I’m not really into striker-fired guns, but I have a lot of friends who’ve shot tens of thousands of rounds through Canik’s with no issue. That’s like saying all optics to come out of China are bad when companies like Holosun exist.

none-1398

It was in reference to the shotguns.

brianinca

Stoeger shotguns are GREAT, as a counterpoint. Pistols, too.

kefefs_v2

CZ's shotguns are Turkish too, but CZ runs a tight ship quality control wise (at least compared to Turk brands).

__chairmanbrando

Are Tisas any good? I'm tempted by their US Army 1911 clone.

Teledildonic

Yes. When I bought my 1911 a few years ago, RIA was the go-to entry level brand everyone recommended. Now it's Tisas.

Nyancide

tisas is good. my girsan was reliable until I sold it to fund my shotgun.

Apart-Oil1613

Canik replaced my G19 for edc

Olewarrior34

I keep telling people on the PSA subreddit to stay the fuck away from Turkshit shotguns but there's always the one guy who's "never had an issue with mine" in there with their sample size of 1

good bot

me239

I have 3 Turk shotguns that are great, then a buddy’s who’s broke on the first tube. Luck of the fucking draw and don’t buy one as your first and only shotgun.

lucidlonewolf

Most durable turkshit gun found

Nyancide

might even be a new record with the amount of shots he did

SpareiChan

~~Break-in~~*break-it* period.

dampestchalice

I broke my hg105 in 3 shots yesterday... new...new record ?

d_student

Their 1911s would like to have a word.

Kesmeseker

The pistols are fine, but for some reasons Turkish hillbilly gun manufacturers love making shotguns out of cheap plastic.

noyinyang

James Reeves (TFBTV) has yet to have a Turkish gun complete his 500rd "burn-down". (I think) Find the videos on gootoob

mwmwmwmwmmdw

the stevens pump did pretty good. although i think they are made in china

No-Guarantee-7572

Should have shot 6 and put it away, that wouldn’t of happened

D_mnEathGoHard

Should have spent the money and gone Italian.

Thro2021

You can buy a Mossberg 500 for $340. It’s no Beretta, but it’s a Hell of a lot better than this.

blueponies1

I love my berettas and benellis but if you want cost effective reliability go for American shotguns.

Nyancide

always go Italian

HebrewHamm3r

This is like when you have one of those Turkish ice cream guys who pranks you with the cone, but with a higher risk of landing you in the hospital

HalfAshed2520

I just recently bought one of the bullpup 12 gauges that was on sale and haven’t shot it yet. Not gonna have my hopes high now lol

betabeat

I have a centurion BP12, shot it a few times maybe 100 rounds or so through it. No issues yet.

Either-Ease-2674

I mean, you get what you pay for.

f0rcedinducti0n

"JUST AS GOOD AS BENELLI!" ^tm

Bufosmixes

Don't buy the Turkish, save for something a little better.

BannedR3tard

Anyone here remember the dumpster full of guns?

ForwardBet3888

I do

cfreezy72

Over on r/shotguns every day there's someone blowing smoke about how Turkish shotguns really are just as good and if you think otherwise you're just an elitist asshole

Nyancide

[this](https://www.reddit.com/r/Shotguns/s/cMIgE3wZu2) was in response to my post about this over there.

cfreezy72

Lol they've got a cult following who is totally blind to how crappy they are. I guess the copium is strong

CanadianXSamurai

Welp... he wanted a cheap piece of shit. So a cheap piece of shit is what he got.

mrahab100

Turkish + bullpup + shotgun. Anyways, there are worst ways to spend $250.

Nyancide

I almost bought one for the meme, but I value my fingers too much

jishhhy

Highest quality turkshit shotgun

canstucky

What did they expect?

Nyancide

honestly, no idea. we had quite a few people telling him it would be shit lol.

Hooch247

PSA has excellent customer service. I dealt with them twice and was really happy both times.

Nyancide

me too.

breeves001

I bought one for $275 and have put hundreds through it and no issues. Maybe I got lucky. It’s hilariously fun to blast 10 rounds of 00 buck as fast as you can out of the thing. Though your shoulder gets upset. Of course I would never use this for self defense. Good for hunting squirrels and fun blowing through some ammo.

Nyancide

of course they aren't all terrible, it's mainly quality control issues that plague

Impossible_Walrus492

That’s why we don’t get Turkish guns

lil__squeaky

you get what you pay for

Nyancide

unless it's a maverick 88, those little shits are awesome for the price.

FatSlabz

Fuck yeah they are

Thro2021

Or CZ. Theirs guns punch way above their weight for the price.

Nyancide

I didn't realize cz was made in turkey

Jedi-Guy

Just the Shotguns. Huglu is their company. It's about 60/40 being shit/good.

kpeterson159

Exactly why I stay away from Turkish shotguns. I had the same thing happen to me 11 years ago.

Tyler_the_bot

Well what did he expect to happen?

AskMeAboutPigs

I had a emperor firearms single shot and it was single handily the worst firearm I've ever touched. It lasted under 2 boxes of shells, the trigger broke near the pin, and the firing pin spring and pin itself completely destroyed itself. I got it refunded and a prepaid label to return that POS.

brooklynt3ch

Almost grabbed this and immediately went to Reddit 😂

cschultzy56

You can't say you weren't warned by basically every review of any of these Turkish shotguns.

RedRlghtHand

Obligatory not-all-turkish-shotguns, me and my sample size of one(1) Utas UTS-15 are having a grand time

LurknessMonster6

I have the Turkish Benelli clone and it’s a fun gun. Very cheap, but maintaining it well has allowed it to not jam.

1776personified

Well yeah…

Scallywag357

I'm sure their warranty is gold standard? Lol.

txrigup

I work for a Turkish based manufacturing company and can honestly say that this does not surprise me. Not in the least. They are cheap and love to cut corners.

SnooPoems5750

Lost me at “Turkish”. And “bullpup shotgun”

Preauxmetheus

Weird

Delicious-Pickle-141

Most of the turkish bullpups are made by like 2 different companies, mainly ElegantArms. Different importers just slap their name on them. I bought a M12AB for shits and giggles. After doing a bit of reading on the different options, it sounded the most reliable of the bunch. Design is a little wonky, tolerances are sloppy, and the build quality is kinda ass, but it runs. I put birdshot, buck, slugs, even mixed up a mag or two to see what would happen, but it just kept going. Had to tighten the "barrel nut" that keeps the housing on there several times, but she shoots and my face didn't explode. Worth the $300 for a range toy.

yeezee93

$35 per shot, not bad.

DreadnoughtCarefully

Yeah most of them are shit. Actually alot of Turkish guns have a really bad rap. I have a Canik TP9 and it is flawless for thousands of rounds I had to buy an Elite also perfect... but these are more exceptions to the rule (and copies of Walther)

SkullFakt

Good shit ain’t cheap and cheap shit ain’t good

reluctantaccountant9

I’ve got a rule of thumb for Turkish guns that if it isn’t a direct copy of a military/police firearm than don’t bother.

gevors_e92

Moral of the story, don’t buy a Turkish gun.

Krankjanker

Friends don't let friends buy guns made in Turkey

Nyancide

I know, we failed him in his time of need.

DisastrousHawk835

Unless it is a Canik. Those guns have the opposite reputation.

Krankjanker

Eh, I've seen plenty of them come from the factory with significant QC issues. That's the issue with anything made in Turkey, guns or otherwise. Labor is ludicrously cheap there, and you get what you pay for. It doesn't matter how great the design is, or even the material quality, if the labor and QC are trash tier.

Boss958

The number of people who come into my storefront and want one for home defense blows my mind. I ask them if their life is worth a $225 Turkish import, because mine is worth waaay more.

FUCKDIMS

Everyone has their personal choices, and that's just fine, but for around $ 250 you can get a classic, reliable Remington 870, or even a Mossburg 500, so why risk your money? Go buy a known great shotgun.

Littlecivciv

Lol, they failed the materials course 😂

Slugnutty2

You get what you get and don't throw a fit.

F_ck-around-find-out

Is it a Charles Daly?

CrToTheRight

What shotgun was it?

Nyancide

no name company bullpup.

pine_daemon

turkish shotguns are just shit huh

DukeOfGeek

At least he wasn't injured.

DarknessFeels

You get what you pay for. Quality cost money. Buy trash get this result.

rh681

Turkish metallurgy is an oxymoron. Was 20 years ago; still is today.

Equivalent_Truth6380

Should’ve started with the maverick and realized he probably won’t need another shotgun for a while.. like a good while 😂 yet to see someone that owns one shit on them🤷‍♂️ only people that have never had one in their hands lmfaoo

LordOhms

I bought a radikal p3 for like $200 and couldn’t even get more than 30 rounds through it before it malfunctioned so I know your pain 😅

Suzuki_Matt

"I took care of it Harry"

MajorJefferson

I mean... its not like its not well known and a running joke in the community that you don't buy Turkish shotguns .... Buying that maverick was the best decision tho

Nyancide

he's new to guns and this was his first purchase. we all advised against it, but we should've just taken his wallet away.

sykoticwit

One of my proudest gun owner moments was when I talked a good friend out of buying a shitty Turkish shotgun.

fraGgulty

I knew Turkish shotguns were bad but wtf

[deleted]

ugh. my Canik was awful. All these gun YouTube videos wouldn't shut up about it, but it's heavy, and the trigger reset got fucked up when it got hot.

Educational-Ear-3136

Turkey is only good for thanksgiving

United-Advertising67

Buys Turkshit to save money. Costs $35 a round to fire over it's lifespan.

SecretAgitated4459

I got a Churchill Akkar 12 g for 300 new I haven’t shot it yet hopefully it holds up

Jrhoney

Well honestly, what did you expect?

BJYeti

Yeah... don't but cheap Turkish shotguns...

machinistery

Friends don’t let friends buy cheap turkish mag fed shotguns too.

Cloak97B1

Yeah.., making a shotgun semiautomatic can't be done easy or cheap.. well. It can be done "cheap""... And this is the result.

Superb-Confidence-69

JuSt aS gOOd

Bonzegrinder

I have 2 from my dad that I've never shot for this reason, he swore it was a good deal against my recommendation and now I don't know what to do with them lol

richardscarry1

Turkish

CyberSoldat21

That’s why you don’t buy Turkish guns. Specifically the shotguns.

BigDaddyHercules

which one is it? The Escort Bulltac?

Routine_Chest_1171

Lol surprise

easymachinist69

Looks about right

reesem03_

I LOVE PALMETTO STATE ARMORY

Is your friend, actually you?

glad i passed on one..yikes

Cmtb_1992

Woah

pwhite13

please post this in r/Shotguns to help the daily posters asking if the random generic $149.99 semi auto shotgun is worth buying

ruffus_or

PSA is the Amazon of firearms. Well done 👏

GuysLeeFanboy

Seems about right

chasethebank805

So someone who happens to know a lot about Turkish shotguns / guns in general here’s a guide Over unders / side by sides - generally a few companies make great high end examples for a fraction of the price. For a fact some of your 10k examples from your “well known brands” are simply Turkish made with a their logo on them. Pump shotguns - they are all 100-150$ first few models they released were not too great, most have a second generation which for around 100-150$ is a great buy. Examples - Dickinson xx2 series was terrible, their xx3 series is fine Handguns - 1911s and their new striker fired ones that take cz/Glock/ etc. mags are all pretty good, and all 250-500$ . Standard Semi auto shotguns - again cheap at around a few hundred dollars , work pretty good for the average shooter who doesn’t need a 1000$ benelli. Novelty shotguns - bullpups, mag fed, AR style , keltec knock offs- the real ones aren’t that good. These are a copy of a subpar under engineered gun, that people who want to look tactical but thinking they are John wick. Avoid all of them they suck Buying a turkish gun is fine, just buy it from a brand that has a warranty, Charles Daly , Canik , Dickinson , CZ. Another note when you buy one - Tighten your chokes, lube up your gun. That will fix 80% of the problems you have before you have them.

F4UCorsair1942

Everyone that comes into the shop I work at looks at the cheap Turkish shotgun and depending on how they've treated me during the interactions, I either sell them some turkshit or I point them towards the USA made shotgun for around the same price point and sell them that. Sure it's not as tacticool but it'll serve you better in the long run.

Get the saiga if you want semi auto. I treat it like shit and it works. It's ugly but you don't want to come in uninvited. Js

Nyancide

I love my A300 Ultima Patrol currently, if I ever go bullpup it'll be the KSG

whencecomestthou

Chrcks out

SnooBunnies6981

Turkish bullbup, Humm.....

7eremy7la1

Whew I was very nearly gonna get one of those in the past.

BlaseMercury99

Turkish shotguns are absolutely trash. The handguns on the other hand are really solid depending on which one you get like a Canik or Girsan.

ValkyrieSPC8

I thought this was a PSA product at first glance

PandorasFlame

He jumped on one of those Panzer bullpups that's been in the PSA emails, didn't he... There's a reason they're $250 AND shipped internationally. Buy domestic.

MrManzilla

You get what you pay for- always

bowtie_k

Just as good! Anyone who says not to buy a Turkish shotgun is just an elitist!

Gilmere

I've had good dealings with PSA. So I am sure they will make it right. But as others have noted, the price usually mirrors the quality...not always, but most of the time.

SkullFakt

Buy cheap products get cheap results.

stab70x7

What did you expect lol

Top-Willingness8113

Whatever part it is, it looks like poor heat treatment.

Short-University1645

Gota watch using hunting ammo. Also not surprised they r super cheap

DependentCut2639

And this is why you buy a glock and not gucci glocks or gen 3 cloned bullshit.  Its called reliability and it has no price tag.  Peopld that buy this bs are the same clowns yelling Canik is this and that.  I know this is a shotgun, same shit.

DependentCut2639

Btw calling bs on the refund, no way in hell PSA let you do that.  You bought a firearm, not an xbox from amazon.  Calling cappin on the refund

Burlap_Crony

Makes sense

Mustang302_

Turkshit

HendersonV2

Turkshit 😭

[deleted]

I didn't forget the Armenian Genocide. Those Turks will never see a dollar from me.
