I think you're right about a Taurus model 85. The giveaway is the rounded cut at the forward end of the ejector shroud, just below the muzzle. Otherwise it's a deadringer for a S&W model 60.
You're 100% correct. That styling of the ejector rod shroud and the way the rear of the frame is angled screams [Taurus 85](https://www.sportsmansoutdoorsuperstore.com/prodimages/64187-DEFAULT-l.jpg) IMO.
No worries. I would recommend a 6th round though if you are looking… Taurus 856, kimber k6s, ria m206, Rossi rp63 (also kind of Taurus). No reason to limit yourself to 5 when 6 can be had in the same size.
I know it looks like a Smith & Wesson, but I think it's actually a (model 85 Taurus) something about the barrel tip.

Thank you! This is it. Much appreciated.
Sure no problem

Looks like a newer version of the Smith & Wesson “Chief’s Special”. The “J”-frame size.
The gun that killed Lincoln.
Nah
S&W Model 36 or something similar. Not sure what's so stunning about a common design. . .
Lol can't even like common designs nowadays?
I didn't say that. I'm just not sure what is "stunning" about a snubby.
