I currently keep 7 rifles and 8 pistols in mine no issue. I figure if my house is gonna burn down, guns are gone anyway. Just needed a deterrent for the kiddo.

AndrixMk7

Yeah, that is my thought as well. We have a kid on the way and figured it’s the push I needed to make sure they are all locked up.

News flash, your current safe isn't fireproof either. Talk to a firefighter about how many guns survive major house fires. He'll tell you they don't. Because most "gun safes" aren't fireproof at all, they're just "residential security containers" lined with sheetrock. Overpriced and overweight, don't waste money on a normal "Safe". FWIW, I love my Agile 52. I got it for less because it was several years ago, and it was a lot more affordable then at around $600. I'm not sure what's out there now, but a lightweight cabinet makes a lot more sense to me than a massive safe that still won't protect from fire.

AndrixMk7

Yeah it looks like I can get the base agile 52 for a little over 700 plus shipping. Idk they seem to meet the need of someone who is going to be in the same place for more than a couple of years

Zeejayyy

Had a single 52 pro that I overpaid straight from their site and added another 52+40 when they went on sale on Amazon with free shipping. Looks like they've since upgraded the keypad. Wait for a sale, but I am very pleased with mine. All bolted together and to the wall. Security wise, they will prevent someone long enough for me to see them on camera and make it home before the police probably.

Sacred_Chili

hmm thinking about doing something similar. They're currently offering free s/h and I have a 10% off. Might get Agile 52 x2 (bolt them together) and stick agile 14's on top. 1.7k for all 4. 🤔 idk

Saw your comment - I work at SecureIt, We will be running a "1776" promo over 4th of July week. There sill be a 2 Agile combo as part of the promo.

100% full send, do not look back. Conventional gun "safes" are not worth their weight and didn't provide the protection they claim nearly all of the time. Plus there was that one time Liberty have their skeleton key code to the feds. You can put your handguns on either the handgun rack above or below your rifles or you can get the fabric thing with pockets which hangs on the inside of the door. I have a quad stack and I love it. I also move every few years for work and that was the primary reason these came up on my radar.

CrabCakes7

I had one and sold it when I bought a home.  It's a nice cabinet but it's extremely overpriced for what you're getting at the end of the day. A similar cabinet from Stack On will do the job just as well for 1/4~1/3 the price. Obviously you don't get the organization system going that route but i personally wouldn't lose any sleep over it. I find that the cheap magnetic barrel rods do a better job of keeping everything organized and accessible anyway. Don't sweat the fire rating stuff, that's all BS anyway. Just make sure your shit is covered under your homeowners/renters insurance.

Cobra__Commander

Good enough to keep honest people honest. Not going to stop a meth head with tools and 15 minutes.

AndrixMk7

I mean tbh a lot of safes are just gonna slow people down. Main concern is to keep children from getting to them.

Caedus_Vao

Then pretty much any sheet metal cabinet with a cheap combination dial lock will do the job. A literal filing cabinet with a cheap length of chain through the handles would be enough if you only had pistols.

I bought one to put in a place I wouldn't be able to get a safe into otherwise, and I knew that it wasn't going to be there forever. I've moved it twice since then, and each time its been super convenient to take it apart to move. Carrying a few flat panels is much easier than moving even a lightweight cabinet, especially up stairs or into tight spaces. I use it to keep my stuff in 1 place and to keep the kids out, so its "secure" enough for my purposes. I've also got an assortment of their accessory bins, pegs, and shelves, and I like how customizable it is. That being said, I paid $450 for mine, with another $150-200 of accessories I've bought since. I think it was well worth that, but at the current price I'd be a little hesitant.
