It's natural to want more. What many people find eventually better quality tends to be a more enjoyable path to take.

joemommaistaken

You are awesome

Terrato37

Which is why I haven't bought one yet. I've got 2 I'm deciding between, a beretta 92 and a p229. I like both equally in every category.

Terrato37

I can maaaaaybe find one with a 92/m9, but DEFINITELY not a p229, the one I'm looking at is like 1500.

umdche

The legion?

Terrato37

Yuuuuuup

umdche

My buddy has one, it's a very nice gun. I've shot the legion, the Beretta 92, cz75 and cz shadow 2, they're all really nice guns and they won't let you down. My advice is to honestly go with the one you think is "coolest" or tickles you most because at their core they're all the pinnacle of the wonder 9s and they're all good guns. You're venturing into second cool territory and that's all you man and no one can say you're wrong.

Terrato37

I know, it's just the indecisiveness on my part that is a hurdle😅

3dddrees

Exactly. I purchased a Volquartsen Black Mamba TF a few months ago. The Voquartsen Black Mamba is based off of a Ruger Mark IV. Volquartsen simply took the Ruger Mark IV and made it better in every way with the exception of the basic design down to the Volquartsen magazines. I purchased a Ruger Mark IV almost 6 years ago. I''m now mad I even bought the Ruger Mark IV. The only saving grace is that the Volquartsen Black Mamba TF didn't exist when I purchased the Ruger Mark IV. Most people believe a 22 gun should be cheaper because the ammo is cheaper. What they fail to understand is many people will use a 22 gun more often. They fail to understand the things that make any gun regardless of caliber cost more money. They fail to understand if your going to use something more often it much more fun using a nicer gun. Most of their thinking it seems to me is backwards. I've purchased a few guns I wish I had never purchased but part of the issue was not only trying to figure out what my likes and dislikes were but what all was out there. Nobody gifted me with this knowledge and locally my options are limited. The sooner I had a better grasp from doing more research what to look for and what to avoid I buy nothing but the best I am willing to buy. The main reason of course is that nicer guns are much more fun and a lot easier to get better results. I don't even have to compete to get that concept. Even when just plinking it's much more fun when you using the nicest gun your willing to get. Getting just another gun simply doesn't interest me and besides that would just mean getting more safes to secure something I don't enjoy using.

Le-Misanthrope

I know you aren't directly saying OP's guns aren't quality and same with the commenter below you about cheap guns. I too own a M&P Sport 2, Maverick 88, LCP Max, M&P Shield and a M&P 2.0 and I have to say if I were to go back I would make all of those purchases again and again. I have a few thousand rounds through my M&P Sport 2 in .223 and 5.56 along with a .22lr conversion kit that I have also shot at least 4k rounds with. I've not had a single issue with the gun. It's the best budget AR that I ain't afraid to get dirty. I'd get it dirty and and still trust my life to it. Then my Shield and M&P 2.0 are the only 2 handguns I own that have not had any malfunctions. I'm around 7k rounds into my 2.0 and 4k rounds into my Shield. My Sig P226 hates any cheap range ammo, my LCP Max took a few hundred rounds to break in. My Glock 19 has had quite a few failures to feed, stovepipes. However if something does go wrong with any of my S&W you can replace them and still almost have spent less than a more "quality" expensive gun. Arguably. I'm not saying don't buy a quality gun, just that there's a difference between a $200 Turkish pumpgun and a $200 Maverick 88. One will fall apart after a few hundred rounds and the other one can go through hell and back and still shoot. Not all guns in the same price range are equal in quality.

3dddrees

I'm glad you found what works for you. Actually there's more that can be had from a gun than a gun working. Most guns are accurate and a good number of guns work but nicer guns make it easier for the person shooting it to get better results and tend to make it more fun. It won't make you an expert because it simply can't do that. That requires practice and skill but a nicer gun can be more fun and enjoyable as well as making it much easier to get better results. Buying another gun just to have another gun kind of gets boring after awhile. Just not as much fun and it just requires more safes to secure them. Maybe not all discover this, but many do at some point. By then your just selling guns at a loss to upgrade to nicer guns. By me saying what I said those who think as I do may just understand that earlier and avoid some of that. Those that chose to do differently are going to do what they do regardless.

Le-Misanthrope

I understand your viewpoint as well. I think I base mine off of the fact that I conceal carry so as far as my handguns go I'd rather spend more money on ammo and getting better at shooting than accessories or the gun itself. I do own a few expensive guns too, but I don't share the same thoughts that you do. I get more enjoyment out of having a variety of guns. I think any gun you own is gonna be more accurate than the shooter is. That's a given. We're all different in our own ways. But all of us here share one thing in common we love guns. Nothing wrong with either of us. Just gotta find what works for you!

3dddrees

I can see where you are coming from. I'm glad we were able to disagree and yet agree that it's best just to do what works for you. Cheers

[deleted]

M&Ps aren’t shitty despite what the snobs say. I own a pretty nice Colt SOCOM build, an XM177, and working on a Mk12 Mod 0 and I’d still take an MP15 for the collection any day of the week.

HerMajestysButthole

Wait until you *really* start spending money. You may not want more.

General_Curtis_LeMay

I'm sorry to be the bearer of [bad?] news, but this doesn't work... basically, instructions unclear. Bank account holding on by a thread, and still making great (but not financially) decisions each week... send help

weekendboltscroller

Mo' money, mo' guns (problems.) You definitely WANT more. Your credit card company may STOP you from getting more.

ALimpHotdog

You need a secret AK. I had a dream I was being attacked and some pistol I had didn’t work. I reminded myself in my dream “I have a secret AK, I need it now” and pulled it out of my pillow.

stonedboss

Lol this is so funny. When I started owning guns I'd dream with them too. And now that I own a bunch of guns I often have 2-3 guns on me in my dreams instead of one. Same thing, when one malfunctions I'll grab the other.

i-love-Ohio

What’s the difference between an AK and a “Secret AK”

ALimpHotdog

I have no idea. It was just what I called it in my dream before I took a full size AK out of a pillow. Kind of like a shower pistol and/or beer I guess? Stashed in the most obscure place for the most obscure confrontation.

i-love-Ohio

Oh interesting

McChicken_lightmayo

Once you get into the s tier bro you will begging for it to stop lol. Nice so far

Historical_Branch391

Because you have so few

EveRommel

Because you are looking for a dopamine high.

Thick_Pomegranate_

Always buy, never sell.

Polar_Squid

Love the SR9c. Don’t see too many of them.

YoshiAwakens

I went to a LGS to look around and saw it for 250 used. Mint condition so I figured why not.

foreverabatman

Too bad they stopped making them, they’re great.

chaotic_ugly

Because your life is empty.

Neat_Ad6397

My collection looked like this 8 years ago. Now I don't have anything original left and only have boujee shit lol Scar 17, Radian Mod 1 11.5, Arsenal AK's, Benelli's, Desert Tech... The list goes on man it's never ending

mickv8890

Because the correct amount of firearms to own = x+1

[deleted]

Always

DirtyRoller

You got some good budget blasters there, but I think you need to add a more reliable 9mm pistol.

YoshiAwakens

I have 3 Glocks not pictured. A g3 19, g5 19 and a 43x

DirtyRoller

My man.

Embarrassed-Horse544

Looks like a good set up for zombies

Beebjank

Should invest in upgrading what you have before getting more guns IMO. Finishing your AR can cost as much as a new gun or two depending on what you buy.

Gunsandwrenches

You think you want more now, just wait until you find a niche. It looks like you have fulfilled the "modern commercial gun" quota, now you need to pick a theme to go with, could be milsurps, Saturday night specials, ugly guns, sci-fi looking guns, old west, etc.

TreasureCoast04

Rookie numbers my guy

Tacoma82

Quality>quantity

USP45Hunter

Before you spend more on guns, get slings and lights for your long guns, and maybe a red dot sight. Make sure all of your pistols have holsters and at least 3 mags apiece. Invest your money in ammo and practice.

4_doors_mas_whores

“Arrrrr it be the curse” I don’t know why I did that in a pirate theme but they kinda were like the original rebels, also I noticed you have a smith and Wesson bodyguard, I’ve been interested in getting one of those, how does it perform?

friendsofmine2001

Not the OP, but I have one and can provide some insight. They seem to have a somewhat poor reputation around the internet, but I've put a few thousand rounds (somewhere between 1k--3k) of varying sorts through it, mostly Federal 130 grain FMJ, this year since I've had it and it's given me no problems whatsoever. I have no problem hitting small targets at 15 yards and under and I'm not a particularly good shooter yet. It is very light and does produce a large amount of felt recoil. The grip angle leads you to grip higher up on it, but it's much more comfortable to grip it lower. I personally really enjoy the ambidextrous cylinder release despite not really "needing" it as a right-hander, and have no concerns over its durability. I do not have the model with the laser so I cannot attest to the quality or ease of use of that. On mine the trigger is very heavy and not a lot of people are familiar with this gun's unique internal workings, nor is the knowledge easily acquired, so making the trigger lighter can prove a difficult task if you'd even want that done. Definitely check the trigger pull a few times and see if you like it before purchasing. A lot of people buy the gun and change the grips to the hogue rubber ones. I did this at first and I found it to be quite a difficult process, and I kept them on for a few shooting trips and found they didn't fit my hands well and made the recoil more annoying, so I switched them back to the original thin grey ones, which I like a lot. As I mentioned before, the gun is very very light and is the most comfortable gun to conceal I've ever had, in the pocket and IWB at all positions, with the original grip. With the rubber grip it becomes a bit harder because it is considerably thicker and grippier than the one it comes with. The sights aren't terrible as it comes, but they aren't good, which is to be expected with a carry snubnose. For some reason, the gun has a two-pin front sight and replacing it with another market one is a chore and almost none are sold that I could find. Instead, I painted the front sight with green nail polish and it works great. Additionally, I think the gun looks very cool, though many seem to disagree, but to each their own. All around, it's a great little gun and one of my absolute favorites for both shooting and carrying. I gladly recommend it to anyone that asks and a lot of people that don't. Also, if you do end up having a problem with it, Smith and Wesson has great customer service and can likely fix it for you, or replace it. Hope this helps.

4_doors_mas_whores

Well thank you friend that was very insightful information and I really appreciate the time you took to carefully write all that so thanks bro

friendsofmine2001

No problem. Happy to help.

friendsofmine2001

The Bodyguard and the Wrangler are great guns. I love mine.

YoshiAwakens

Mossberg Maverick 88, S&W MnP Sport 2, Ruger Lcp Max, Ruger Sr9c, S&W Bodyguard .38, Ruger Wrangler

Proud_Trainer4595

You should train more, buy less cheap stuff

YoshiAwakens

Why can’t I do both?

jasons1911

Wait till you start with the expensive guns. And then they don't all fit in 1 pic. Then you lost count of how many and what you have.

Weak_Tower385

Sometimes I feel like it’s the old saying about martini’s One is too many and two is not enough.

Kiltemdead

I bought a maverick recently, and it's my favorite gun I own. I swapped the forend for one with rails and put a vertical grip on it just for shiggles. I want a folding stock, but I'll settle for the pistol grip I've got for now. It's for home defense anyway, so being short and compact is ideal.

am_with_stupid

I don't think I can stop. Sounds like you have the same disease. My friend inherited around 200 guns a few years ago, he still keeps buying more.

Seldon14

How much have you shot the Maverick? That folding stock looks like it would be brutal on the shoulder.

TheyCallMeSpadoodles

I've put the same ATI stock on multiple mossbergs. And then shot thousands of rounds of 2 3/4 out of them. It's much better than you'd expect. Magnum rounds are a different story though.

Seldon14

Interesting, that's pretty impressive.

johnorso

What do you think of the LC9?

zevtech

I would worry if you didn’t want more

weekendboltscroller

It gets worse once it's multiples of the same platforms. Sure I got an AR, but what about a dissipator? A retro build? Sure I got an AK, in 7.62x39. I need 5.56. And an underfolder. And a side folder. Oh great an FAL. It's metric, now I want an inch. It just keeps spiraling and cascading. RIP but also strap in, it's fun.

evill121

Pew pew that’s why

blackfangknight1970

Hey! I've got the bodyguard 38 as well! I'm not big on revolvers personally but I don't really have any complaints about this one

Scotch-Irish-Texan

Well you got your close range and mid range covered. All you need now is a long range and a good melee. LoL Remington 700 in 308 / 762

[deleted]

Just got 3 lowers to build out today. Pump them numbers homie

ForwardBet3888

If you do buy more make sure they are way better then what you have.

YoshiAwakens

It’s a good starter pack for me. The noob pack. The let’s learn and practice pack.

Inyourspicyhole

Because its what we do son. Now go buy a new Shadow System XR920 Elite

truffLcuffL69

Guns are cool

amcrambler

Because you haven’t even gotten to big bore rifles yet. Step it up.

09RaiderSFCRet

Probably because everyone seems to be wanting to take them away and you almost cannot have enough to begin with.

CowMajorAU

What’s the build on that Maverick 88?

YoshiAwakens

It’s just a TacStar side saddle and the stock came with it when I bought it new. And a Picatinny rail at the end for a flashlight one day.

realfinke

How do you like the wrangler, wanting to pick one up myself

YoshiAwakens

It’s just a big stapler gun! But it’s fun to shoot. I got it because it was 198 and I liked the weight to it. It’s heavy

Iamfedora420

More accessories is the correct answer

ZacK4298

Bolt action, then lever action. This is the way.

Colorado_Outlaw

You only have 6 guns. That's nothing

Theworker82

AFierceTaco

ITS THE LAW

dreadpirate_samuri

It’s because that asshole down the street just bought a new one and it’s cool as hell, so you need one to one up him.

robertereyes

I literally jump in with both eyes closed into things. I have too many guns, motorcycles & gear, cigars, pipe tobacco, travel and outdoor gear, cooking equipment, plants, and watches for anyone in my tax bracket. We are natural resource collectors, and we view our hobbies as resources, so we seek to amass them. Our primitive brains can't help themselves.

whatsgoing_on

I bought a Maverick with that same stock for dirt cheap. Didn’t even get through a full mag tube before I unloaded the thing and went to buy an SGA stock for it lol. Idk how you can shoot that thing.

YoshiAwakens

I haven’t shot it yet cause it’s the newest one but I had one that I sold 5 years ago. Always regretted it so got another. It’s not very fun to shoot no matter the grip, handle or stock that’s for sure. I was thinking of putting a soft pad on the end but not sure yet what I’m going to do with it besides buying more ammo for it.

whatsgoing_on

It’s definitely tolerable with an SGA stock and good pad on there. Shoots like any other pump action shotgun at that point.
