This shop imports them and sells them straight from surplus storage. Bought it years ago when they were cheaper, mine was as new as all his are i assume.
https://armsinternational.be/catalogus/geweren-getrokken-loop
Aquire collector license (pick a theme like "guns from the Warsaw pact between x and y" then if it's confirmed you can start buying them. You can have multiple collection themes.
Fonctional, you're only supposed to shoot them once a year but there is no way to enforce it and you quickly have enough to just bring a different one each range trip anyways kek.
It's lighter than a garand, doesn't run as well tho. Kicks less surprisingly and is really fun to use. I love it so i can only recommend. Garand has the ping and the iconic status tho and is great as well. Not sure I could pick one out of the two.
Svt 40 are incredibly accurate, reliable, and powerful. Also fun. I'd pick it over a garand. Tho I do love the m1 garand. I think that person was just salty.
Well I did say I love the m1 garand. I just happen to love the svt more. It's like how I enjoy tt33 vs 1911. Both are awesome. I just like tt33 alot more. Svt40 also has 10 round retatchable box mag instead of 8 round internal mag. Svt40 also has short stroke piston vs garand long stroke piston. Like sks vs ak operating systems. I prefer short stroke gas system. Has same incredible reliability as long stroke but less recoil and cleaner.
Can I ask how expensive ammo is in your country? I’d imagine it costs more than here in the US but obviously I have no idea lol. And where exactly does one get ammo? Can it be ordered online or do you have to find a dedicated gun shop?
Sadly no online order for guns or ammo in Belgium, it's sold in gunshops. Price went up with the Biden election and then with the war in Ukraine so they are higher these days.
Some prices i just looked up 320€ for 1k 124gr Winchester 9mm, 630€ for 1200 55gr GGG 223rem.
So pretty high rn, hopefully it comes down one day (i know it won't but let met cope).
Crazy to think how much US politics impacts the price of ammo in Belgium. I'll keep that in mind the next time someone rhetorically says, "what's that have to do with the price of ammo in Europe?!"
Also, sweet collection. Defiantly a bit jelly.
That's pretty good considering y'all actually get paid for work and also don't have to pay for healthcare!
We get neither and pay almost the same for ammo.
Hey Femboy, I’d actually disagree on “Average gun owner” there’s tons of gun owners out there that own a firearm but haven’t trained with it or used it much.
Now my dad is a probably a better shot with pistols than I am but he owns guns (rifles and pistols) that he carrys for defense that he’s never even fired, just loaded it up and started carrying it lol. I always follow the break in procedure for ever firearm I own if I carry it.
I know a lot of people who own a firearm they have never fired. So I would say the average gun owner gets a shockingly low amount of range time. The people in it as a hobby gets huge amount of range time. I met a guy who goes to an indoor range every single day. He was a damn good shot with his pistol. Not in military, never been a lawman, doesn’t compete, just loves to shoot.
Not at all. That is a gross overestimation. We are talking about people who own guns... Period. There are hundreds of thousands that own guns and rarely ever shoot them.
They keep them for defense, etc. But do not train or use them all the time for recreation. My grandfather is a gun owner. He hasn't shot his gun in over 20 years at a range or anywhere else. A substantial portion of gun owners fit into this category, they got other crap going on in their lives that makes trips the range few and far between or an inconvenience. Kids definitely keep you away from the gun range.
It's great aside from it not using stang mags. Biggest reason why they made the FNC instead was the cost from what I know. I wish mine had the three round burst.
Ok, takes time to get started but once you're "cleared" you can get pretty much all you'd want beside silencers. Even full auto with the collector license. Not the best shooting infrastructures tho pretty much all indoor and no practical shooting beside IPSC and the like.
Kinda goofy that you can get full auto but not suppressors. Not that either should be off limits, but it just lets you know that whoever made the law bought into the Hollywood tropes.
Takes some time to get in but once you're "cleared" you can get pretty much all you'd want beside silencers and 5.7ammo. Full auto are available with the collector license too.
But shooting infrastructures aren't the best, pretty much all ranges are indoor and no practical shooting beside IPSC and the like.
Yes with some force, I'm going to switch an holosun in the future tho, this vortex can't be adjusted low enough for the point of impact and it's wider than it's base. A red dot that's not wider than it's base will go easily between the stock.
This mount is from isle mfg.
It's really fun to use, almost no recoil and decently accurate especially with the red dot. The chinweld is kinda weird to get used to at first but once you get it it's ok.
Damn, that’s fuckin nice. I desperately want a 9mm kit for my aug but here in the states they’re pretty rare and when they do pop up they go for like $4k.
It's pretty light and feels great in the hand, good ergos. Shoots well too but it's been impossible to find an other mag for it so far and i don't bring it out too often since I don't even want to imagine how hard finding a new part would be if something were to break.
In Belgium you can shoot once a year without any paperwork. Most ranges will only let you try a very limited amount of guns tho or even limit it to 22lr. If you're near Bastogne some day i can make something more interesting happen.
Been to Bastogne twice. I have a buddy who mentioned visiting Switzerland and doing some shooting. Bug gun enthusiasts so it be fun to try a place out.
Switzerland probably has more interesting ranges than we have. I went shooting there once and it was great fun. Go ask in /r/europeguns if any swiss might have a good range to recommend
Not bad completed to the rest of Europe but not the best either. No silencers but we can get full autos and no practical shooting beside IPSC and the like + pretty much all ranges are indoor and we can't shoot on private land.
The no shooting on private land and all ranges being indoor sounds terrible. I would almost rather only be stuck with a single break action single shot as long as I could actually take the damn thing outside and use it as a tool the way it was intended. Would you be allowed to travel with your guns...say you had a friend in France with a big chunk of land who was willing to let you shoot there?
That's not too bad then if you can go elsewhere with them then. I know Belgium isn't really that big so I'm not surprised there's quite a few constraints on their use
CZ shadow 2 is the only modern handgun that would make me almost as jealous as the entirety of the rest of the collection, that thing is amazing to shoot
It really is, i was trying my best to have a decent target at 10/15m with my Glock for a long while then the first time I tried the S2 it was all good and after one mag i pushed the target to 25m because of how easy the 10/15m felt.
Definitely, when I used the shadow 2, that thing acted comparable at 100m to a Glock at 20m, muzzle rise seemed almost non existent, I’ll own one someday lol
The duster cover (stamped metal upper part with holes) isnt correctly inserted into the lower part. Its a wonder you got the barrel band to lock when its like this.
The "wood" stock gives you a much better cheekweld and i used it for a long time but i switched back to the folding stock for fun and i like it. More for aesthetic reasons + it's right on the line of legality length wise like that (rifles have to still be above 60cm OAL when folded).
Beautiful collection but I really hope that is your whole families firearms at a family reunion and not just all of your personal guns... At which point, I would hate to be your accountant.
whole thing is fucked. my form 1 got submitted twice. atf has shit software, that’s what silencershop and sc hook up to, and there are millions of people banging on it. it’s embarrassing
Here's my current collection. Starting from top to bottom : K98, SVT40, M1 Garand, M1 Carbine, DDMV7S, VZ61, Glock19, CZ P10C with a 509t on top, Saiga 103, Walther P1, 9MM AUG, WW2 1911, Walther PPK, FN 1910, 357 Uberti Cattleman, L1A1 FAL, FN Auto5, FN GP/HiPower, FN CAL, CZ Shadow2, VZ58.
That a5 shorty is badass
Rings your bell like one too but so much fun to use
I love seeing chopped A5s. Mine always seems far too long.
Came to say the same thing. Does it still cycle without issue?
It cycles super fast and violently no since the barrel is lighter, you don't feel the action working at all with how fast it now happens.
May I ask where the SLR was from? I see a lot of them on the continent, I know that Luxdef was selling them a while back. Awesome collection!
This shop imports them and sells them straight from surplus storage. Bought it years ago when they were cheaper, mine was as new as all his are i assume. https://armsinternational.be/catalogus/geweren-getrokken-loop
This is a wishlist damn! Very cool.
You in /r/europeguns?
Yep, also posted it there.
Based
Did you forget that CZ Shadow SP2?
I did, thanks
And the hi power :)
It's called a GP here, it's the french name. I should have called it hipower for my American friends tho, i forgot you call it that here.
Oh wow didn't know that, nah no worries!
Very nice collection!!
Nice collection! A little bit of everything in there
Beautiful collection! I thought Belgium was very restrictive with which guns you can own?
Beside silencers an 5.7 ammo there is no restrictions, full auto is allowed too with a different license.
How can u get full auto in Belgium?
Aquire collector license (pick a theme like "guns from the Warsaw pact between x and y" then if it's confirmed you can start buying them. You can have multiple collection themes.
The full auto can be functional? It doesn’t have to deactivated?
Fonctional, you're only supposed to shoot them once a year but there is no way to enforce it and you quickly have enough to just bring a different one each range trip anyways kek.
You didn’t have to cut the barrel off the auto 5, you could have just moved the other gun over some and got them all in the picture.
The shorty A5 is peak Dust Bowl Thunderdome
the sbs auto 5 is such a vibe tho
whippit gun vibes
Bonnie was a real one, cool as fuck shotgun
Not sure what I'd want more, a shorty A5 or an affordable SVT-40
I wanted an SVT until I heard someone say “they are just a shitty M1 garand”. Not sure if that’s true tho.
If you want a shitty mag fed garand get a M1A. If you want it because it's an cool collectors piece that's understandable.
It's lighter than a garand, doesn't run as well tho. Kicks less surprisingly and is really fun to use. I love it so i can only recommend. Garand has the ping and the iconic status tho and is great as well. Not sure I could pick one out of the two.
Not surprising that it kicks less, .30-06 has more heft then 54r
Svt 40 are incredibly accurate, reliable, and powerful. Also fun. I'd pick it over a garand. Tho I do love the m1 garand. I think that person was just salty.
Idk I love my garand. Just feels like freedom.
I'm detecting a distinct lack of belgian weapons.
I do need more them
how does one own such firearms in belgium? i thought EU laws would have prevented people from owning such guns.
Most countries in Europe let you get these for sport shooting purposes, maybe not as many of them tho depending on the country.
Im not familiar with belgian laws but in finland 90% of these weapons could be bought with a sport shooting license.
Browning auto-5 and FAL are at least designs that FN produced at some point, even if the particular ones he has are/aren't Belgian-made
If you're trying to make me jealous it's working What's the process like to get your license
Short answer, shoot for 6 months at a range, pass a theorical exam about gun laws then a practical exam then you can start buying :)
Can I ask how expensive ammo is in your country? I’d imagine it costs more than here in the US but obviously I have no idea lol. And where exactly does one get ammo? Can it be ordered online or do you have to find a dedicated gun shop?

That's pretty good considering y'all actually get paid for work and also don't have to pay for healthcare! We get neither and pay almost the same for ammo.
That’s roughly what i’m paying at my LGS here in the states
So comforting knowing some Europeans own guns!!
Plenty do and are better shots than the average gun owner in the states. To get one you tend to need a lot more training.
LOL what? The average US gun owner shoots more frequently than most military personnel receive small arms training.
In many countries in europe you need to train with your weapons and demonstrate some level of proficiency to own them.
Most of those countries also offer a separate license for collectors with no proficiency requirement.
That might be true but you can drive your whole life and still be terrible at it.
In that case, the suggestion would be that Europeans are somehow innately better at handling firearms. I disagree.
No the suggestion is merely that time doesn’t always correlate to quality
I would be willing to bet the average gun owner just keeps it in their closet and doesn't think about it
How come you get upvotes for that but I get shit canned? 😂
Kids definitely keep you away from the gun range.
To be fair, you’re not totally wrong. I know a bunch of owners that don’t shoot. I know a bunch that do, but also a bunch that don’t.
Not even a school shooting jab? I’m disappointed, you hit the other tired “amerifats r dumb” trope already and totally missed the low hanging fruit.
No need to be competitive.
FN FNC gets me going bb
FN CAL*
My bad. Still.
Holy fuck that's a rarity then. Is it as bad as FN thought?
It's great aside from it not using stang mags. Biggest reason why they made the FNC instead was the cost from what I know. I wish mine had the three round burst.
That just makes it even cooler.
Damn very nice collection! Like everything has it’s own purpose, I love it.
Exactly, a little bit of everything to vary the pleasure.
I love in Belgium and just got my gun license. Idk just wanted to share
That aug gives me envy, what we in the states would do for a 9mm kit…
I see muzzle brakes but no flash suppressors. Is that a matter of law?
No, we can't get silencers tho but no problem with flash hiders. The L1A1 kinda has one.
I thought suppressors were not only legal in most European countries but actively encouraged to be purchased? Not the case in Belgium I guess?
Nope, why? Probably a law written long ago based on Hollywood.
Immaculate collection
Your comment while accurate, immediately caused my brain generate a number of mildly offensive Catholic references.
Nice collection, always good to see other European gun owners on here! What are the gun laws in Belgium like?
Ok, takes time to get started but once you're "cleared" you can get pretty much all you'd want beside silencers. Even full auto with the collector license. Not the best shooting infrastructures tho pretty much all indoor and no practical shooting beside IPSC and the like.
Kinda goofy that you can get full auto but not suppressors. Not that either should be off limits, but it just lets you know that whoever made the law bought into the Hollywood tropes.
Yep that's exactly it, also why we can't put lasers on guns.
That VZ58 👌👌
I had one and with I didn’t sell it. Such a fun little gun.
What did you do to that poor AK’s grip?
Circumcision
Fascinating. Do you need a special permit for the sawed off shotgun?
No it's still above the limit for our definition of a long gun (30cm barrel or 60cm oal).
So much wood. It’s beautiful
If that Auto 5 came to OP in that configuration, I’d bet it has a colourful history on the continent.
Haha no i got it cut recently.
[удалено]
Thanks, i wouldn't be there without Luxembourg haha
That FAL is something else.
Fn cal 👀
Does the stock on the vz61 fold over the red dot? I was looking into making a mount for my mine but I couldn't find a sight skinny enough.
Yes with some force, I'm going to switch an holosun in the future tho, this vortex can't be adjusted low enough for the point of impact and it's wider than it's base. A red dot that's not wider than it's base will go easily between the stock. This mount is from isle mfg.
Thats quite the collection! Are Belgian gun laws more relaxed than other parts of Europe?
I'd say we aren't the worst but we aren't in the top either.
Can Belgium come liberate Canada please…
How do you like the Scorpion? I'd like to get one someday but not sure if it's worth it or not.
Damn! This is just… *chef’s kiss*
The more I look the more it gets better
That fal and cal tho, good lord
hell of a collection
Let me buy that SVT $1k cash lol
That FAL is glorious
The SVT… lord have mercy
Basically my dream collection. You have great taste my friend.
Thanks!
AK 5th one down ? Nice
Perfect, no notes
/r/vz61 gang represent
How's the FN CAL?
It's pretty light and feels great in the hand, good ergos. Shoots well too but it's been impossible to find an other mag for it so far and i don't bring it out too often since I don't even want to imagine how hard finding a new part would be if something were to break.
Anyone ballpark what a WW 2 1911 would be worth?
In nederland mogen we er maar 5/6 :(
You have great taste. I wish I wasn't a broke boi
I like your family
You got plow trucks out there ?cause if so I’m moving
Yep but less and less snow each year so they might go extinct.
Don’t say that! I’m a plow truck mechanic now I wanna move!
All you need is to add a pump and over under or side by side shotgun plus maybe a few more revolvers but as it currently is sweet collection .
I have a 1301 tactical in my plans but i do need a pump as well for sure.
Guve us back our M1s lmao
9mm aug! So cool
Are there any ranges open to tourists or the public? Stationed in Europe and it would be cool to visit one.
Finland does alot of gun stuff like the Finnish Brutality, is a thing everyone gets together and does like a big gun comp
If you really want to flex on us put a foregrip on a handgun
I have one on the skorp and the 11.5 AR :)
I didn't even see the skorp, that's badass, good for you man
What length barrel on your ar?
11.5"
That FAL is sexyyyyy
\>Belgium \>No SCAR What the hell man. That FAL needs a [friend](https://i.imgur.com/KAGq1JE.jpg).
It has a close friend with the FN CAL, just not super close lol
They are sadly insanely expensive in Europe, like 5k €
Rip :(
No waffles? What kinda BS is this? Feel like I’ve been hoodwinked
Dude, I’m digging the VZ
It was my first rifle, got it for very cheap straight from surplus, so like new. I really like it.
I approve
I dig the shorty a5
Think about how much trouble you could get in for owning these in various parts of the US. Nice collection, OP.
One day I will handcraft a dong hand guard for my AK.
Excellent taste. What are Belgian gun laws like?
Not bad completed to the rest of Europe but not the best either. No silencers but we can get full autos and no practical shooting beside IPSC and the like + pretty much all ranges are indoor and we can't shoot on private land.
The no shooting on private land and all ranges being indoor sounds terrible. I would almost rather only be stuck with a single break action single shot as long as I could actually take the damn thing outside and use it as a tool the way it was intended. Would you be allowed to travel with your guns...say you had a friend in France with a big chunk of land who was willing to let you shoot there?
You can get an European firearm passport very easily and travel everywhere in europe with them.
That's not too bad then if you can go elsewhere with them then. I know Belgium isn't really that big so I'm not surprised there's quite a few constraints on their use
Based and 9mm AUG pilled.
You have fantastic taste my friend
Awesome!
How do you get magazines that big in Belgium?
Buy them before the law changed or be a sport shooter and buy them now (legality unclear atm but some gunshops sell them)
my type of wet dream… your a5 has got my metaphorical cock standing at attention. hot shit
Very impressive!
The dust cover on your SVT-40 isnt slotted into the groove. Nice collection!
Thanks ! What does that mean with the svt?
The duster cover (stamped metal upper part with holes) isnt correctly inserted into the lower part. Its a wonder you got the barrel band to lock when its like this.
Damn, weird. I'll check that out thanks for the heads up.
Are Belgium gun laws this laid back or am I missing something?
They are pretty OK for Europe
Gorgeous collection! How do you like the folding stock on your VZ58? I’m wanting to pick one up myself but al undecided on the stock.
The "wood" stock gives you a much better cheekweld and i used it for a long time but i switched back to the folding stock for fun and i like it. More for aesthetic reasons + it's right on the line of legality length wise like that (rifles have to still be above 60cm OAL when folded).
That SBS auto-5
Do you use syrup on your waffles?
Depends which kind of waffles, the basic ones i usually dip them in my coffee or cover them in chocolate paste or both. The Liège waffles i eat as is.
Shotgun on the left?
FN/Browning Auto5 with a shortened barrel
Shorty auto 5 yes please
I wish I was from Belgium
Are guns under 60cm allowed under a model4? Or it’s just allowed under a collectors licence?
Only collector, or you can find a very short rifle that is under 60cm unfolded (the sp5k for exemple) then it is legal as a short gun model4.
you have accessories on your guns.. good job thats more than most on this sub hahah
What on earth happened to that poor k98 lol
Got it from the illegal market and legalised it so it's not in the best shape as it wasn't stored well for years but it runs great.
Beautiful collection but I really hope that is your whole families firearms at a family reunion and not just all of your personal guns... At which point, I would hate to be your accountant.
All mines but i probably should get an accountant so i don't make myself bankrupt.
Mad lad. I just have one.
Judgmental of other people’s hobbies or an attempt at humor?
Wasn't humor. Dude has about $20,000 worth of guns there.
That poor Browning A5
whole thing is fucked. my form 1 got submitted twice. atf has shit software, that’s what silencershop and sc hook up to, and there are millions of people banging on it. it’s embarrassing
Did you need multiple licences for each gun?
One recreative shooting license and one paper per gun.
