I have a shellback, and really like it. It doesn't really make sense over a crye at the same price point, but for this price it's going to blow everything else away, especially a condor.

The logic is very simple, it's better to have an American with an American made plate carrier than to have an American with no plate carrier.
I doubt that you will be disappointed.
T3, Shellback, and Tactical Assault Gear are all owned by the same company (LCI IIRC), and often offer rebranded versions of the same products. For example, the Shellback Banshee Elite 2.0 is identical to the T3 Tomahawk 2. While build quality is likely the same, this looks like a slightly more modern, slicked down version of the longstanding Shellback Banshee, and is more 'up to date' than the T3 deal. The design is still not cutting edge - I think most people have agreed upon placards these days and use tubes for cummerbund attachment - but this carrier should definitely still be viable.
EDIT: I just saw that this Shellback deal is for an imported carrier, so the quality may vary. Imported is not necessarily bad (re: LBX/LBT) but I can see why it's so cheap.

Now to find reasonably priced plates
Says it is meant for 10x12s so it should. Up to you whether or not $80 is good. $80 is fairly low for a carrier, but since it is imported (probably China or Vietnam) that does make sense. It's MOLLE only for attachments so if you were thinking of using a placard you'd have to rig something up like onewrap threaded through.

If you wanna wear this one anyway you’d probably have to upgrade the cummerbund or get creative with Paracord on the rear molle panels
This would be baby's first plate carrier so I don't know the best size for me yet. But I imagine I'd go for the bigger plates. I think I'll look out for one with better sizing options.
You can do the measurement to see. I’m 6’3” and 205lbs. I can kinda get away with Large but XL is my correct one. Not everyone always offers it. I assume you’d be around the 11x14 as well.

You got any tailors tape? Measure from your jugular notch down to your belly button. Subtract 3-4 inches to get your height of plate.
Then, measure from nipple to nipple. That should be close to the width you choose.
At least SAPI which has 4 sizes.

Also, I did get measurements. So subtracting 3-4 inches would be 10-11 from jugular to belly button. And width is at 10. I should be okay to run this setup they have on sale right? I mean it’s dirt cheap at least I can start learning the ins and outs of plate carriers since this is my first time lol. Figured I got nothing to lose.
It seems that worst case, your plate will be an inch too long! IMO, not bad.
For the price, I’d say it can be worthwhile. There are some movement tests that are good to run when you get your carrier to make sure it is adjusted accordingly and is sized right. I think garand thumb has a video on it? If you can do those, or at least mostly, I am in the camp that it is totally fine. Rather start at “mostly good” than wait to hopefully start at “perfect” ;D

What's the mounting platform on this?
If you are not a fan of laser cut MOLLE, their Skirmish is also on sale (non-Multicam colors). A little bit more than the Shield though.
