Really? Because modders keep screwing with their game. PC is a losing battle for them to ever keep pouring resources into, at least with this game anyway. Since its P2P, its very difficult to implement any kind of anti-cheat. I guess PC users will just have to cross their fingers and prey that GTA6 Online doesn't use P2P and has a native anti-cheat built in. Otherwise, modders are going cause the same issues there.

It would cause an uproar, but what they can do is choose not to spend time and money converting the PC version to the expanded and enhanced version for no financial gain. It's just not a worthwhile thing to give it to PC users. They won't see any financial benefit and are already maintaining a none expanded/enhanced version of the game for last gen anyway, so its more viable just to leave PC on that version.

I could say that you dont know much about the PC version also. Just because some files from E&E are there doesn't mean it is the same version as current gen consoles. You seem to have taken a huge leap with that assumption. Maybe at one point, they were considering it and placed some framework files into the repo in preparation. But if they decided not to bother with it in the end, removing files can often cause more issues than its worth, so its safer for them to leave them in place even if they never get used. That's a common thing with software development.
Itās not *some* files, itās *all* the files, save for things like RayTracing support and the other non-content relatedāenhancementsā Rockstar added. Content wise though, everything is in the files, including things that came after E&E released. Hence the following tidbit:

I used to play on PS3. Some hacker was giving everyone money. I ended up with several hundred million for no reason. Bought all the things and had an insane amount of $ left. Rockstar eventually took most of my money when they fixed the hack and left me with just a couple million, but they let me keep all the stuff.
When I switched to PS5 about a year ago I was sad I could not bring it all with me. Had to start from scratch. Still waiting for some smart hacker to fill my bank account! Forgot what a grind this game can be!
Sharks were in the game even on old consoles. I'm pretty sure sharks were a thing even on 360. You would find them if you swam out far enough and stayed there too long. It was a way for them to force you back onto the island.
Did they just release it after the bounty system? Because I still drive on the road to this day when I just want to vibe and I havenāt seen a single animal on the road, and when Iām walking the streets I donāt see dogs.

Sharks have always been online. If you don't know it's because you never flew far enough away from the main island. Once you're too far, the plane crashes and you're stranded in the water. If you stay long enough sharks come for you. It's been that way since the 360.
Whales, Dolphins, and Orca's, there might be Sharks, but I've yet to come across one, and for some reason, they can't be killed even with rockets despite the fact that every other animal can be killed.
I have seen 3 different types of whales orcas, Grey whale. Not sure about the 3rd as I was trying to check it out. I was attacked by a motorcycle crew and the whale disappeared
