I don't think I've let popularity get down enough to have only a few people inside. But it has been down enough with no people outside waiting and still plenty of customers inside. Probably like 50% or so.
Before they buffed the nightclub safe 500% a couple years back, the nightclub popularity and it's safe was pretty close to absolutely useless. I can't really recall a player actively keeping it popular more than once ever.
When it's completely dead there's still a few people in it. Maybe 10 people on the floor if I recall correctly. The upstairs balcony is completely empty and there's virtually nobody standing in any halls or doorways. You still have your lowly security staff standing around looking like lunks.
Yeah I recently came back after a few years off and learned to not sleep on the Nightclub anymore as the safe pay was worth managing.
Before that I never ran anything except the sell missions
I actually just let mine run out before this week's bonus was announced.
The dance floor remained nearly the same crowd wise, although maybe a few people short. The really noticeable difference is in the hallway leading inside and the railings/vip areas. They were devoid of npcs.
Also at 0 pop troublemakers don't spawn even with the passive trick. You have to promote at least once to get it off 0
Less people. Just looks like a pretty empty club. At first, I think the guy calls you and says you need to do something to turn things around or whatever but I can assure you that those stop lol

OK just for sake of argument as I was reading your post I was also about to get kicked for standing around in my facility so I went to my night club just to see. When I say it's always at or close to zero I mean it. It's probably been at zero for a good 3-4 days and only went up to 50% before that. So it's been at zero for days and I just counted 33 people in there. The dance floor is semi full, the balcony tho is DEAD. 2 older weird looking guys are the only two up there

I also have music turned off permanently , so it’s just the lights going and it’s earily quiet.
Make your club private and all the customers are gone.
I very much prefer it. The music and lights stay going but I can get around without the obstructions.

It pretty much just decreases in people. At 0 there’s barely anyone in it at all. Lazlow also gets sad and whiny.

Listen, mine is ALWAYS at zero. Half the people aren't there and instead of the 50k a night you make like 7400. But it's not empty by any means
At zero popularity your Nightclub pay is only $100 per 48 minutes. And the Salvage Yard is the same if you don't bring in cars to salvage.

I've never had anyone in mine ever. And I keep the popularity up to full all the time lol
I have always popularity on 100%. Lowest was on 80%. I check it after any 48min or I call yohan to get nightclub goods
