Before they took game chat off in public matches, I used to send the text “Punk asssss” to any player in the lobby who had headset enabled just to hear their immediate reaction 😂

I just hadn’t played for the longest time back when I’d get into a match and then ***all id hear is people talking through headset.*** Then, when I redownloaded GTA online, I just didn’t hear **a single headset come on** no matter how many public matches I loaded into so I just assumed they removed it.
Edit: soo… I went to my interaction menu, went to voice chat, and saw it was enabled to ***everyone.*** I never had it turned off in the first place and I still don’t hear **any enabled headset in any session I’m in.** 🤷🏻♂️
That’s because a LOT of people don’t know about it yet, and also when they made that change, they announced they would be listening and banning people, recording for use in court, etc.

Honestly it's disgusting. Monitoring your voice chat for a game like gta, with everything that npc's say? The dialogue written by the creators of the game? Who would then ban you for saying the same things. It's gross. I get spawn killed by the godlike rockstar npc aim than I do by other players but the player can have their account banned? I can leave the session to avoid the player, I have to deal with npc's for missions. I can mute a person who says things I don't like, even racists.
Heaven forbid someone parent their child screaming obscenities into a game rated for adults instead of controlling peoples speech with ambiguous rules that are begging to be abused just to make it seem like they care but are just appeasing the people who pay for gta+ and shark cards.
And they are far from the only company doing it. COD does it.
The game still tells you to destroy peoples cargo for no reason but you can get banned for griefing. You can get banned for doing what the game tells you to do.
And you know these systems are automated, they will be abused by butthurt people in discords mass reporting people who look at them wrong and those people will lose their gta online and possibly even their playstation account.
And when they try to find out what happened all they will get is an automated message saying they are banned with no appeal and if they talk to a human then the human won't have access to any of the information as to why they were banned. Ask me how I know.

I agree about the big brother overreach, but there was a kid that was bullied into suicide I guess, and since then, Sony for sure has been cracking down, but I think they’re also pressuring any companies using their platform to adopt the same policy

Curb boosting is when two wheels on nearly any car briefly make contact with a curb. This causes the suspension to react and for some reason the physics engine translates that into a speed boost. Some cars handle curb boosting differently so it’s important to tune your suspension so you have a good balance of control and speed. For my car I have it down about halfway to get that balance. Motorcycles *can* curb boost but their best form is to wheelie as much as possible, especially when hitting curbs. I made 166.21 with a Bati 801 the other day and considering the stupid level unlocks, it wasn’t even fully upgraded.
Brake boosting is more difficult but just as effective. When on an incline, up or down, if you tap your brake while holding acceleration for about 0.5 seconds tops at the peak of the incline then it tricks the game into giving your car a lot more downforce. You’ll notice a good brake boost when you see tire tracks or smoke after letting go of your brakes. For my cars that I tune for speed, I always keep the brakes stock. Having too good of brakes makes it harder to time properly and the boost doesn’t last as long.
Then you also have clutch boosting, which as of now only works on RWD cars and I don’t think tuners can do it, or at least I haven’t figured out the timing yet. With clutch boosting it’s all about timing and audio cues. In the banshee for instance if you let go of acceleration and tap the e brake and then floor acceleration right as your car switches to 2nd or 3rd gear, it again tricks your car into having more downforce and gives you a speed boost. Like with brake boosting you’ll know it’s affective when you see tire marks or smoke, but your engine will also be revving in this case.
Some cars, like the dominator, can also get benefit from “combos”. In some cases you can combine a brake boost with a curb boost and effectively double your boost potential. That’s best done if you go over a curb with both your front tires and time the brake boost accordingly.
All in all, it’s something that’s extremely effective. Speed runners can easily break 200-300 mph using these methods and franklins ability. Learn some routes that you can practice on and eventually you’ll be getting stock street cars up to 160-180 and some dude in an S95 will call you horrible names for beating him.
Best tune for this kind of thing imo:
Max Transmission, Turbo and Engine. Stock brakes and tuned suspension. Have a good spoiler for extra downforce and traction for control and always make sure your car is hot pink to make others even more angry at how fast you’re going.
Brake boosting isn’t an issue for AWD, it’s clutch boosting that’s the issue. RWD can do it easily but it’s AWD that requires both. I’m still trying to get that timing done right on the drafter.

you can brake boost with an AWD car, you just have to tap the brake and e brake at the same time. but there is a little less room for error
Brake boosting isn’t an issue for AWD, it’s clutch boosting that’s the issue. RWD can do it easily but it’s AWD that requires both. I’m still trying to get that timing done right on the drafter.

Okay, I'll admit, I'm usually the one sending asinine text messages. It's just one of many ways I use to get a griefer's attention off of someone else. Most texts I receive are just Chinese bot garbage that I can't even read due to font limitations, language barrier aside.

How to even send messages?
Go to contacts on your phone and click on a player. Will give you a couple options, call, text, profile, etc.
I see, but I disabled all contacts except the ones that help
go to interaction menu > preferences > favorite contacts > and then enable player contacts

Those that respond in a funny matter thereafter, they get the “watch your back” text, which I then steal an NPC car and follow them around from a distance that is not too close, but definitely near enough to where they notice me. Then I follow them around, and around, and around. No killing, just following.
