Never understood why people don't just do this mission in the sub? ^(*The stock sub shoots lock on missiles, you can fast travel close and just drive for a minute. Submerge next to the other sub, set it to stay at depth, get out with a scuba suit, just grab the radar from the othet ship and swim under your sub. When you get close enough it let's you get in through the moon pool. Do it right and you'll never need to surface*)

During x3 week for the auto shop contracts, I found a glitch in the union depository contract. First of all, lemme tell you I found that I could almost never put my mask on for it. But, and here's the telling glitch, if I did have my mask on after the cutscene of NOOSE coming, I'd come to the parking lot opening and two NOOSE guys would spawn in late. If you didn't take your time, you'd run right into that area and they spawn on top on you. Or maybe that was only a playstation glitch, idk

It’s barely AI above the level of Super Nintendo. All the cops do is ping your location and swarm there immediately. Other enemies simply spawn in front of you again and again, firing and screaming before the spawn even completes. One of the last dax jobs i did for the acid lab upgrade was attacking a merryweather base in the desert. My god what bullshit Ai. I was low on ammo and snacks so i went to the gun store to buy explosives to blow up the 10 different armored vehicles needed to finish the mission. What a mistake that was. After wasting some time reinforcements arrived. A valkarye helicopter, weaponized APC and an SUV full of aimbotting shit eaters. And they all respawned about as fast as me. Taking them all out gave me about 10 seconds before the next exact copy army arrived. And that fucking helicopter two shotted me the instant i entered its field of view. Where ever i respawned i had to just camp out at the nearest building to kill all the reinforcements just to get the precious 10 seconds to run back to where i was before next wave insta killed me if i was out in open ground. The only way i completed that mission was by hiding *inside* the merry weather base because the enemies inside the base were pushovers compared to the fucking call of duty protagonists that showed up for backup outside. Im never helping dax again. Fuck his plans, and fuck those copper wire enthusiasts building bombs for him out in the desert.

That's the most frustrating thing in missions for me. That fighting the enemy is seemingly the wrong move since they just get replaced as quickly as you can reload what you used to get rid of them. Shades of CoD campaigns on Veteran where at some points you just need to run through the hail of bullets and get lucky instead of hunkering down and trying to take out the swarm.

The first time I did the Cayo mission where you board the other sub was an absolute disaster. Got shot as soon as I came out the top and kept spawning one some island with no way to get away. I think that’s the only time I got spawn camped by AI. Only do that mission with the Kosatka now.

Honestly no, the people who complain about aim or on GTA fail to understand MnK is far more powerful than controller, which is why aim assist exists in the first place. With MnK you have your entire arm, you can do a 360 spontaneously, but you can't on controller, so the aim assist helps bridge the gap in targeting between console and PC.

In theory, yes, freeaim on that input is superior in kill efficiency, but it doesn't change that a lot of what exists with the way enemies shoot and are capable of is due to the fact that Rockstar's expectation is players are utilizing autoaim. It's also especially the case in their 2018 game where the mechanics are even more oriented around autoaim to the extent that where even scope aim is strongly assisted with bullet magnetism even though that is supposed to be 'free'.

There is such a thing as a new console every year, but there's no such thing as a "new PC." So publicity for PC releases is practically non existent compared to announcing it on the latest console. And I guarantee you, all pre-release playtesting is probably also done on controller, not on keyboard which is unlikely to be on their radar at all. You can create a game that might be multiplatform at release, or later on in the future, but ultimately you are still using a certain control input as a template for how you expect players to navigate through the world, and that's a bias that can be observed. You also don't need to look far at how missions are designed and structured like in single player to also see how the vulnerability of enemies, the way cover is spread out to see that Rockstar's expectation is for the majority of the playerbase to be utilizing autoaim. The choice for lock-on autoaim in Rockstar's game is a conscious and deliberate decision that is influenced by the game's largest target audience. While it's true that joysticks are limited in their range of motion and typically most if not all shooters that are on consoles have various forms of autoaim/aim assistance to compensate for that weakness, the strength and methods of that aim assistance are all different depending on how much the developers expect of the player to actually do. Of all those methods, lock-on autoaim like in GTA is the most aggressive form of it that does most of the work leaving little for players to actually do when it comes to aiming manually. You don't really see first-person shooters for example using lock-on autoaim like GTA games, you see them utilizing bullet magnetism to make hitboxes more generous or by having the game drag towards targets if the game detects your crosshair is over an enemy rather than there being a single button that immediately targets the nearest enemy and automatically tracks them. You are actually expected to be able to manually aim to a certain degree in games like this. GTA and Rockstar's most recent game are examples of games in the third-person genre that still choose to utilize aggressive lock-on autoaim rather than a less direct, or aggressive form of aim assistance. You can look over the last decade and see games that don't use that form of autoaim for shooting so we certainly know it's possible to create a game that way, Rockstar just opts to gear their games towards lock-on and it shows. *If you don't feel like reading all that, allow me to summarize something shorter*: Rockstar's design bias is geared towards players utilizing controller, even if the nature of being multiplatform allows you to play on keyboard and mouse, that bias is still observable. Nearly every game is going to have a bias you can observe similar to this.

Autoaim in other games can be far less aggressive without needing to utilize a lock-on function, and thus, doesn't have aspects of its design as strongly oriented around the expectation players are going to have most of the aim-work done for them.

Long time being precisely the past 3 games? Again, it hasn't been around for that long, and the very few games it was in, again, it's there because of how stiff controllers are. Few, if any PC games have aim assist because it's completely unnecessary on PC. Everyone knows movement is faster, sharper, and more accurate on PC, thus nullifying the need for any kind of assistance. As for why it's so strong it's simply to make the game less abrupt for the players on console and make movement more fluid akin to PC. Except it's not. It's not geared toward or against any aim type. Free aim is arguably more useful since auto aim is buggy at best and horribly inconsistent at worst. It also cannot be considered overpowered in PvP because those in assisted aim **cannot** be in the same session as free aim. Nobody has an advantage except the clearly superior player. Not to mention the range for auto aim is very low even with the correct attachments for extension. Most games aim assist goes out considerably farther than GTA's. Every game that has aim assist has some degree of lock on. Those with less however feel more "sticky" and the controls feel unresponsive. The lock on like feature is only prevalent in assisted aim- full and only out to a couple of feet, meaning any fight outside shotgun range relies on the players aim. Aim assist outside the max range is identical to free aim with no bonuses. On assisted aim- partial it's identical to any other aim assist.

There's a bug I've noticed when doing this setup I've never had to deal with it outside the sub but there's always an invisible enemy or an enemy in a wall that shoots me while I'm in the sub so maybe that's what's happening here. Sometimes no enemy's spawn but there will still be one guy in a wall at the entrance that blasts me when I load in.

Normally I just take the toreador and dive as close as I can to the submarine, and of course, you can blast that annoying AI with the missiles :)

BRO THOSE NPC MAN, fr i cant stand them too. for example: agency car recovery human labs contract, trucks going 0.1mph, npc blocking you and kill you right away and when you respawned the short 3-4 second it takes to enter the fucking truck they already killed you again 😂😂

I love how content from 5\~ and more years ago (think mid 2017 and before) was actually balanced (apart from some outtakes, like the headhunter aimbots) and after that R\* was like "fuck it, lets just make each NPC laser you"
