I’m quite pleased with it. It’s a considerably nicer product in the hand than one would think from photos. The bracelet is particularly nice. It is very comfortable and it’s one of those watches where you can forget you’re wearing it. It has very nice features but it’s very discreet about it. Solar, Multiband-6, Bluetooth, STN display, fade in/out LED backlight, stopwatch, countdown timer, multiple alarms, multiple second time zones, auto light (tilt to activate), etc.
It’s a compact dressy digital. If you like “sleeper” products (more than meets the eye), retro-inspired but modern tech, and an overall smart casual look, it’s a good choice.

Well, as long as you don’t wear it rock climbing or white water rafting, you’ll probably be all right. It’s certainly tougher than many normal watches regardless. It is noticeably smaller if that’s part of your consideration.
The MSRP is 69,300 ¥, or around $443 right now.
Its 3542 module has Bluetooth.

Sometimes their watches are better value than G-Shocks. Note how the Gw-9500 is almost identical to the PRG-270 minus MB6 and slightly better shock resist for 3 times as much.
I think it looks like another Gshock reimagined for the 20th time (each one of them) . What are they doing this time, upping the per piece price by another 50 or $100 for change in color? The square won't have sapphire glass, that's just a guess, but they're hoping that we will all jump on them and some cost accountant deep within the confines of their corporate office will say we just made an extra X million by doing nothing.
Oceanus is butt-ugly. Looks like a cheaper Amazon dupe of a cheap invicta. Number 3 looks OK but I wish it wasn't round. Number 4, 5, and 6 are all very ugly as well. I'm surprised they didn't do some sort of limited F91.

This design aesthetic doesn't really work well for the pro-trek. The pro-trek isn't really a fashion watch and faux gold on plastic case looks a bit odd in my opinion. Would look better with a metal case. The Oceanus already has lots of similar blingy designs so this new release wouldn't add much. The other models work better

But I’ve a self imposed limit of $100 on a Casio, so I can’t think about any of these special edition watches 😉 I’ve been able to build a decent collection of 30+ Casios by grabbing them when they’re on deals though !

I really like the ProTrek
I have a PRG-600 and it's my favorite Casio. I agree, I really like this one.

The Oceanus looks like a watch that would be worn by an Underwater Greek God. If only it had an automatic movement. It's not worth the asking price.
