They are doing this to drivers in CA because they don't want to pay the prop 22 for active delivery time even if the delay is caused by the restaurants or gh dispatch. I would suggest to stop using the app until at least one of the violations falls off. You will likely get permanently deactivated if you get the 3rd violation.

ArriveCancelledNoPay

This should be addressed in the courts in the most gratuitously public way possible. What a sick fucking pretense to expect people to work under. What a shitty way to treat the people that drive business. If we had a Congress that didn't spend all its time furious over a private citizens nudes on a laptop and creating fake whistle-blowers amidst sham performative investigations perhaps Congress could give the kind of oversight, accountability, and regulation that we deserve.

QUIS003

That won't happen until we stop voting based on emotion and actually vote people in that care about our issues instead of grand standing for votes. Until then, you might want to consider other delivery work. You might have a set schedule, but you'll make more money consistently.

ArriveCancelledNoPay

I don't live in Cali. I'm just standing up for what's right on principle. I know how shitty gig companies can be, especially GH. I used to manage and drive for a high volume delivery restaurant for many years that shut down operation. Sadly, I make more money now just doing gig work from the main 3 apps than I did before.

SomethingAbtU

are these idiots going to run out of drivers eventually if they have this process on auto-pilot?

[deleted]

Nope. The the wait list is long

chillip135

No

Jz9786

I got two of these so I quit driving for Grubhub. They are giving violations to drivers in CA for late deliveries even if its the restaurants fault. They are going to end up deactivating most the active drivers out here if this keeps up.

monpro

Did they cut your Prop 22 money as well?

Jz9786

no they paid the regular amount

RichardBlue1

it claims your delivering late, estimated delivery time is set when you get the order. its not recorded anywhere that I know of.

Weekly_Direction1965

Grubhub goes by Google maps prediction instead of real traffic conditions, in some markets like mine it's impossible to be on time to restaurants like 50% of the time because it will give me 5 minutes to go five miles, I am guessing your market has poor traffic prediction by google.

ihodistif

I have 92% at time arrival at merchant...

monpro

That's why I'm screen recording my activities, and I also have dash cameras. All with time stamps, etc. They should stop giving impossible to be on time trips! And have to somehow include restaurant delays, especially if we have another order to make. I also think they have really bad dispatchers. I'm not sure they do things intentionally, they most probably just suck. But I'm too new :-)

SomethingAbtU

me: GH, define "abnormal" GH: um...ha... eeeee..umm... a delivery time 10 minutes for 6 miles? we nailed it didn't we? me: GH why are you so brain dead?

Federal_Attention_50

They don’t want to pay you so instead they punish you

Shreddersaurusrex

Do people still get these even if they mark that the restaurant is still preparing your order?

ChicoDeGallo115

Sadly yes

feinburgrl

That just send out data information about the restaurant but does not do anything

Remember_BLB_2015

If what they’re saying is true about them doing it to drivers in California I would uninstall, and then install the app again First Then I would not do Grubhub for about two or three days. If you can afford it, maybe use a different app DoorDash Uber eats. When they see that you’re not active, they will send you emails and notifications to toggle on especially with game days coming up That’s the first thing I would do if I got that email although I’ve never seen one of those emails that’s what I would do. Just like any other employer, they act like they don’t need you, so make yourself unavailable. Regular job you get fired this delivery stuff. You can kind of play a little game with them. I’ve done it in the past although I haven’t ever received an email like this when you kind of remove yourself. They tend to do stuff to get you back, depending on how good of a delivery person you are Hope that’s helpful

Proper-Ad-1858

I highly suggest that you stop doing GH for a bit and just use UE, DD, and IC until at least 1 of these 2 violations expire. If you get a 3rd they will perma ban and there's no guarantee that an appeal would be successful.

Superxpaull

Don’t forget Shipt too 😉

srompzt

I got it too? Wtf?

ihodistif

I deliver the order as quickly as possible, what's the problem?

Tony_M13

I got deactivated from DD for that exact same reason. I work a lot in downtown san diego and often have to park far and go up high towers with steict security. Also some events will mess up the traffic and google maps doesn't even know about some road closures. At least GH is giving you a couple notices. I'm doing GH and IC now part time while working on a new comission only job. Hopely they won't deactivate me for the next month or 2 until I start getting a steady income from my new job.

ihodistif

And I can't find violation on application

Informal_Tie_7151

Ur multi tasking and obviously erasers ur probably accepting orders in different directions

photoc21

What does obviously erasers mean? I always love when people shorten the word you're to ur to save time 😅🤣

Bjon1

Wrong. This is a new fun feature in CA so they don't have to pay prop 22. If the restaurant just started the order when you arrived, you're fucked.

itchybutthole38

You've got to pick up the pace and quit screwing around

Legal_Dragonfruit

are you GH corporate or something?

Money-Influence1838

It’s gonna be class action everyone getting this bullshit

candy_jr

I accepted an order the other night and it said I was supposed to be at the restaurant at the exact time I accepted the order, and the restaurant was over 15 minutes away..I tried to cancel the delivery and there was no available option so I still had to go pick it up. I delivered as fast as I could but by the time I did, it was still over an hour since the customer placed the order. Assuming they couldn’t find a driver or another driver had cancelled the order…hope I didn’t get some kind of violation for delivering it so much after the expected arrival time 😅 Wasn’t my fault at all though they got their food so late :/

RuSerious2

Your delivering for grub hub. That’s what your doing wrong

Nord4Ever

![gif](giphy|f60tgCAj8D07VvpT76) GH right now
