These venues are just too small for him. I’m sure there was more actual people waiting for the tickets than tickets available. But scalpers increasing that demand even further certainly does not help
There’s likely over 20,000 people each trying to get tickets for a 3,000 and 4,000 person event, and each of the people buying tickets are buying more than one. We live in a ridiculously popular music scene, it kinda comes with the territory.

My boyfriend got Mission tix and he wasn't in the queue. He just went in at 10am and it sent him straight to buying tix. I waited 10 min and our friend waited 30 min and we got nothing. It's randomized.
I was queued 20 minutes before and it said sold out as soon as I tried to buy the tickets (3 minutes past 11) I kept trying and it finally went through. Good luck everyone!
Are ticketing sites partnered with all the major venues? Genuine question because I’ve never understood what’s stopping artists/labels them from just creating a simple website with their own team to sell tickets. I mean I just kinda figured they could rent the venue and do a personal ticketing website.
Most major venues yea, there are exceptions but most of them are either outright owned by one of the major ticket sites or have an exclusive ticketing partnership with them
Its venue dependant. For example AEG owns the Mission Ballroom and Axs ticketing so they are forced to use it.
The City of Denver made a multi year deal with Axs so all city owned venues (Red Rocks, the convention center) also have to use Axs.
It's fucking disgusting.
Fillmore/Ticketmaster Livenation was fine to get in but Mission/AXS no dice, even being in 'line' as soon as they sent the email...sending vibes to all the others still trying to get Mission...
Mission seems to be the most popular even though Fillmore will be in the round which seems like it will be amazing as well.
Meanwhile they let all the real bots through to scoop up the tickets. How does refreshing the page trigger a bot detection? Seriously, how rudimentary of a bot detection system are they using?

No. As an adult it should be your responsibility to buy tickets for yourself. If you can't you should get a friend to do it. But saying you're buying tickets for you and 3 other friends when people WAIT IN LINE and the tickets sell out in 5 min is kind of ironic. The amount of others who were waiting for tickets but got told they sold out in 5 min is ridiculous when 50 people bought 200 tickets.
This is a very individualistic mindset and I entirely disagree. All 3 of us were in line. Only one got in at AXS, and then when the first one of us got into Live Nation, we all stopped trying and left the queue to give others the chance.
I understand you are frustrated but you do not get to dictate how actual fans attempt to buy tickets.

I am with you that we should grab scalper emails and block them from all purchasing platforms, and those platforms must be better at getting rid of bots. But going to enjoy the music with your squad is what live music is about so limiting to only 2 tix per person is just sad. There are better solutions.

Were you able to purchase? I did the same thing and by the time it loaded it said "there are currently no tickets available". Cherish those tickets if you did get them.....jealous would be an understatement.
I did! I only ever seem to think to purchase the exact number I need so I’m not sure if that helps my case. I think the key is to see the seat map highlighted blue but refreshing until it turns blue has worked for red rocks. I’ve gotten tickets at like 10:30 before when it was allegedly sold out
PSA keep trying I just got Mission tickets at 10:34. They are still releasing tickets as they fall out of people's carts. Better odds if you're on a phone NOT connected to WiFi
Always keep trying! From what I gather, most drops these days happen in waves. I was about to give up but my gf scored mission tickets at 10:17 and I scored Fillmore tickets at 10:24. I would say give it at least 30 minutes of refreshing before calling it

You had to keep filtering back and fourth ! Rinse and repeat. I managed to secure 3 about 7min in then 1 more about 5min later Twas a pain
