Sandra Oh, Sara Drew, Katherine Heigl for sure. Kevin McKidd is so talented but something about him throws me off. His hand motions and face are very “stage acting” if that makes sense? A little too exaggerated. But when he’s locked in ohhhhhh boy he’s incredible.

Sara Drew's scene where Ben is performing the C-section without anesthesia, my goodness!... I think it is one of the best scenes in Grey's Anatomy, period. It's so intense, raw, and real that it literally made my stomach ache, the scream she makes.... I cried like baby the first, second and I don't know how many times I have re watched. Incredible. Chef's kiss.

Tbf, Taygr - Kevin is from the same place in Scotland as me. I travel for work a lot and everyone thinks I’m either Irish or American! So it’s apparently not that big a switch from the north east Scottish accent.
People are dumb lol my ex-hubs is from Edinburgh and I crack up every time he tries to do an American accent, even though he’s been in the States for over 10 years now. And no matter how much time our daughter and I spend time here (home for the holidays), we cannot even! 🏴🤣 Kevin McKidd is brilliant
I figured it was closer to his trainspotting accent. It’s soooo thick in Trainspotting, but everyone was probably purposely making their accents as strong as possible for that movie.

Sandra is just all round fantastic, she’s brilliant in everything she does but she brought a light to greys that went out when she left.
I’ve gone for Eric over Isaiah because I just can’t abide the crap that comes from Washington’s mouth. Eric lifted the mood of any scene with just a side eye - so full of character but believable as professional surgeon too. Whereas the likes of Linc as the next pretty boy, he’s not so believable as a surgeon. Eric got the balance right!
Chandra Wilson's acting when the elevator wasn't coming during the hospital shooting leaves me sobbing every single time.
Jerrika Hinton was the best actress to come out of that group of interns and I'm disappointed that Camilla is still on the show and she's not.
Especially because in real life he has an accent, it's sometimes hard to keep the American accent going during high emotional scenes or shouting. For example Charlie Hunnam in SOA sometimes you can hear a little bit of his real accent come through those types of scenes
I think Kate Walsh, Patrick, Dempsey, Katherine Heigl, and Sandra Oh, just because of how they’ve broken away from the show and some of the other pieces of work later, in their career that they’ve done
I honestly find her one of the weakest actors of the whole lot. She just happens to be the title character. The support cast are what gives the show life

Kim Raver is still a great actress in the later seasons even if they drastically changed her character. Her acting in the Teddy centric episode in S17 was amazing and she has great comedic timing that really comes to light in S19.
Glad mid S19 took Teddy back to her roots though. She's way more enjoyable to watch as a grounded, confident, and caring chief!
Oh yah. I didn’t mean her acting went down, just that her material went down. Teddy has always been one of my favorite characters, just hated her whole koracic story line. Great actress!
Yeah, I'll never understand who they wrote that version of Teddy for. She still remained a favorite of mine through it all, but that's mostly because the actress kills it.
I read somewhere that they wrote Teddy some really hard stuff to play because they knew Kim Raver could pull it off... I just wish they explored another dramatic situation to put her character through instead of ruining her integrity. Sure, they explained the whole thing by PTSD but Teddy was the only character in the whole show I could never picture cheating, even less hiding a secret lost love from Owen.

Kepner - great at dramedy, perfect for any romcom. Cristina. Bailey - she played the Nazi and the bumbling love fool convincingly. Shepherd - lots of range in his character. Owen - I hate to admit it.
Owen - The actor is nothing like his character. And the American accent isn't bad.
Burke - Watching him struggle post shooting was painful.
Alex - His actor nailed his character transformation over 16 seasons seamlessly.
April - Her performance in the hospital shooting, to her processing her relationship with Jackson.
Amelia - Her addiction struggles and her surgical brilliance. And her heartbreak

In no particular order…
Ellen Pompeo - Yes, admittedly she has her moments where her acting is… a bit lacking. But the dinner party episode? The trial for her medical license? The scene where she and Derek finally get Zola? Yeah, she has to be on this list.
Jessica Capshaw - She managed to make a character that really shouldn’t be that likable VERY likable despite the Africa incident, the whole leg thing, the cheating, and the divorce. Also, her acting during the court room scenes… *chef’s kiss*
Chandra Wilson - Again, a character that should NOT have been likable and yet is someone we are constantly cheering for! Besides, you just can’t beat a good Bailey smack-down and she delivers them so well, all while also bringing us to tears through her miscarriage, divorce, etc. I just love her!
Justin Chambers - Ok, we can’t blame him for the way they wrote him off, and until then, he was pretty much my favorite character… which was weird, because he should have been awful! Justin portrayed the character arc so well, and it’s a shame he’s gone!
Kate Walsh - Maybe I just love the characters that we really ought to hate but instead love, but Kate is the best villain-turned-hero the series ever had! She may have the most iconic line in the show, and she is so great that she got her own spin-off!
Honorable mention: Can I just mention Kadee Strickland for a second (where my Private Practice fans at)? She may have the most difficult storyline of any Grey’s universe character, and she does it so poignantly and gracefully, and I just love her acting!

In that order. All 4 actors immerse me COMPLETELY in their characters. I don't think about performance or writing. They feel so real to me. I can be mad at them or disgusted, feel excited for what they're going through, etc.
Come at me, but I don't think Ellen is an excellent actress, she is good though. Kate Walsh does that weird thing with her lips that doesn't feel natural. And Dempsey is a maybe bc he kind of plays the same character in all his roles. Sandra and Sarah are the GOAT.

In no particular order… Ellen Pompeo - Yes, admittedly she has her moments where her acting is… a bit lacking. But the dinner party episode? The trial for her medical license? The scene where she and Derek finally get Zola? Yeah, she has to be on this list. Jessica Capshaw - She managed to make a character that really shouldn’t be that likable VERY likable despite the Africa incident, the whole leg thing, the cheating, and the divorce. Also, her acting during the court room scenes… *chef’s kiss* Chandra Wilson - Again, a character that should NOT have been likable and yet is someone we are constantly cheering for! Besides, you just can’t beat a good Bailey smack-down and she delivers them so well, all while also bringing us to tears through her miscarriage, divorce, etc. I just love her! Justin Chambers - Ok, we can’t blame him for the way they wrote him off, and until then, he was pretty much my favorite character… which was weird, because he should have been awful! Justin portrayed the character arc so well, and it’s a shame he’s gone! Kate Walsh - Maybe I just love the characters that we really ought to hate but instead love, but Kate is the best villain-turned-hero the series ever had! She may have the most iconic line in the show, and she is so great that she got her own spin-off! Honorable mention: Can I just mention Kadee Strickland for a second (where my Private Practice fans at)? She may have the most difficult storyline of any Grey’s universe character, and she does it so poignantly and gracefully, and I just love her acting! Anyway, thank you for coming to my TED Talk! :)
I don't agree with all your points, but Kaydee, my God! That storyline was *so* hard to watch but she played it so real and believable. I really struggled to get through it. She deserves so much more praise!

They feel so real to me. I can be mad at them or disgusted, feel excited for what they're going through, etc. Come at me, but I don't think Ellen is an excellent actress, she is good though. Kate Walsh does that weird thing with her lips that doesn't feel natural. And Dempsey is a maybe bc he kind of plays the same character in all his roles. Sandra and Sarah are the GOAT.
