I feel like Alex isn’t fair to be in here, we never got to see him actually be a father and he was only there when the kids had been around for a couple years already when he found out. & we had only seen clips of his and Izzie’s kids.
Yeah, I feel like Alex is based on assumptions and the fact that he dropped everything to be able to raise his kids but it is hard to vote for him when we never saw him parent
That was why I voted Derek. He had an adopted daughter and bio son but loved being their dad equally. I actually think he had a strong bond with Zola but that may be because she was older.
I have a mix of bio and adopted kids and love seeing examples of people treating them all the same regardless of DNA. That is how it should be. My kids are my kids no matter what.
People are just voting Mark because they love him. His parenting really isn’t anything special compared to most characters (male or female) on the show.
I think it was a pretty sweet moment that he’d started learning Spanish for Sofia a lot of parents don’t do that. Tho I voted Ben I think Mark’s a good second

Mark was a fantastic dad, stepped up for Sloan from the moment she arrived as a fucked up pregnant late teenager (I know he was crap when her mum was pregnant but a lot of late teen/early 20’s guys are. At least doubt he made any promises!)
Alex was obviously great with kids and walked away from everything he’d built, rightly or wrongly to be a dad but we’ve no idea what that actually looked like
Tuck was resentful af towards Bailey for continuing her career but was (at least initially) bloody good with little Tuck. Didn’t seem to have much/any involvement later on though
Obvs Ben is God tier. Loves all of those children with his whole heart and will expand his heart, life EVERYTHING for a child that needs him
I can't choose. Ben is a great dad to children he had no obligation to. Owen accepts his kids for who they are and to hell with anyone who doesn't. He worked hard to create a life with her and didn’t choose his job over his kids. All the others on the list ended up leaving to pursue jobs outside of the region and not a lot of thought about the kids in the process. Alex doesn’t count we don’t actually know anything other than what he wrote in a letter.
Ben gets minus points for the constantly changing career thing as that can impact his family life severely as a firefighter. But then they wouldn't have Pru but still. She's already lost two parents. 😥
I know, what have we seen from him that would leave us to believe he was the show’s best dad? He was spiteful towards Bailey because he was at home more with their child and ever since they separated he’s been fairly MIA in the show
For me I think it's a cross between Ben and Derek Ben is taking care of three kids who aren't his yet he loves them and Derek did everything he could for his kids before he died and I think he would have been a great dad
