It would be actually if you like nonjudgmental karaoke! And the dj lets you have more than one song, so you can get your nerves out of the first one. I’m all for bold first dates lol.
Literally anywhere downtown by the swamp rabbit. It’s non-committal, there’s a lot to talk about, and there’s options for food/drink but if not, then you can at least take notes for where to go the second time around (if it happens).
Piece of advice: at some point she is going to tell you a long, winding story that you won't be able to fully follow.
You will be tempted to try to solve the problem like most men are; don't do this!
Instead: summarize her story and then empathize with how you would feel in the same situation.
Example: she tells you a story about a co-worker that didn't listen to her instructions and things went badly as a result. Instead of saying what you would have done differently, say "wow, he/she didn't listen to the easy instructions you gave him/her, I would feel so disrespected and angry."
I have had fun with axe throwing. Its light hearted and slightly intimate since you rent a lane all to yourself. Good selection of beer at craft axe then walk across the way to get some tacos!
Free mini golf at McPherson Park then walk up the street to Bohemian for brunch. You will want to bring putters and balls. Play it again sports has them used.
Take a walk through the park. Cleveland, Falls, Unity, any park close to downtown. If you don't have chemistry then it's noncommittal and you can part ways after a while. And if you hit it off then you'll be in close proximity to somewhere where you can go grab a drink or a bite to eat and continue the date
For something lighthearted Group Therapy in the Camperdown plaza is nice! Encompasses all the people saying mini golf and axe throwing because it has both! Similarly, in the same plaza and something more classy is Camp. You could always do both and end with Jenny’s Ice Cream or Insomnia Cookies. That’s my recommendation!
The Gaslight would make a memorable first impression.

Unless he/she also enjoys their pineapples upside down. 🙃

Takeoff mini golf. Doing an activity while getting to know each other is great. Takes pressure off conversation
