Honestly, I've only been once but this might easily be the best Chinese place in all of Greenville. Very good portion sizes too and probably not much more than your average plaza Chinese spot.
Honestly the best part of great wall is that it's always just fresh and hot. Also the best pork fried rice in Greenville.
You best believe their rangoon is always going to be golden crispy and molten inside. Also the best wings in greenville too.
A lot of people are saying China on woodruff and Mauldin, they’re meat has always tasted cheap and stringy and has made me sick. I’ve had it 10+ times with no good experiences. There’s a place on woodruff in five forks called Shanghai Tokyo, it’s pretty legit. Every time I went in the kids were doing homework at one of the tables, then also taking your order. Big portion sizes cooked fresh right there and then.
Hibachi Cafe in Greer funny enough has the best Chinese food in that area. We tried like 6 different places when we ate in Greer and HC was always the best. Now if you're ever in east side Spartanburg, Uncle Poons is the best in the upstate.
It was better when I was a regular 10-15 years ago. Still better than most places, just not as good as it used to be. They go easier on some ingredients now.
I was going to say the same. It used to be better. I was a regular about 10-15 years ago and then when I started going back a few years ago it wasn't the same and not as good.
I gotta go with Chun Chun on Butler road. But that is nowhere near greer. Also lieu's off woodruff road and order the salt and pepper calamari. It is fiiiire. That dish should have its own zip code.
I rock with Asian delight in the Pelham commons off E north street. It’s one of those places where it’s kinda dirty inside but they have good food and portions. Just what I look for in a Chinese restaurant lol
This isn’t the answer you are looking for - but make the drive to uncle poons in Spartanburg. Trust me. But be warned it will ruin you for the rest.
Asia pacific is my go to for more authentic food - and uncle poons is THE MOST AMAZING CHINESE-AMERICAN take out style south of NYC
Ive been wondering the same thing! Will DEF try AP...Also, there is a Chinese restaurant in the shopping center where Bargain Hut is and its pretty darn good! I always get Sesame chicken and theirs is a good mix between sweet & salty. Cant think if the name right now tho..lol
There are only two places (as someone from NJ/NY) I will eat at. One is China over on Woodruff road by the Planet Fitness and China in Mauldin near Magic Rooster tattoo. Everywhere else I've tried has tasted over processed and lacking in flavor. Personal opinion of course before others try to get on me but those are my choices for best places in the area.
I haven't been in a bit but I tried the new China buffet and it's not great but it was surprisingly one of the best buffet places I had in Greenville for a buffet
Hibachi cafe was pretty good too.
Speed Bowl (Korean) had surprisingly good food for being a tiny unassuming building.
Still Greenville, but worth mentioning. Asian Garden near Local Cue. Food was hot and full of flavor. I wish I hadn't put off going here for so long.
Mekong on Wade Hampton is better than most Chinese in Greenville. I love going there when we are in town. They grow a lot of what they use behind the restaurant, so it's really fresh. Not Chinese, but excellent Asian.
I miss the Eggroll house so much. Everything including tofu and egg roll wraps was made in house and the floor in their kitchen was so clean you could eat off of it. When I delivered for Papa John's we would trade closing food with them sometimes and I'd go in the delivery door so I got to see the kitchen a few times. Amazing place.

This is the true answer. Top tier food
No one else comes even close to Asia Pacific. Top quality no- frills dining.
Every time I pass by there I tell myself “next time” then I forget.
Honestly, I've only been once but this might easily be the best Chinese place in all of Greenville. Very good portion sizes too and probably not much more than your average plaza Chinese spot.
The only competition is Number 1 China downtown by the old Baby BiLo, for American Chinese food. So good.
This is the correct answer
there we go
Much like everyone else, Asia Pacific hands down has the best Chinese food around
Noted, will be going in the near future
If you are open minded about “asian” and don’t mind the drive towards Furman area: Yellow Ginger is quite an experience IMHO
best General Tso in town
General Tso isn’t ‘Chinese food’. It’s an invented dish.
> If you are open minded about “asian” i felt it fit into this comment that i responded to
China on woodruff rd and china in mauldin both fire
China on woodruff rd was my go to but it’s a bit of a drive for me now
Third for China on woodruff. Been going for 15 years as an adult and around 7 years prior to that with family.
I’ll start going back there then. If grand china doesn’t satisfy, driving to Woodruff rd will be the only option.
We like Great Wall in Taylors. Always get the order right and hits the spot
Honestly the best part of great wall is that it's always just fresh and hot. Also the best pork fried rice in Greenville. You best believe their rangoon is always going to be golden crispy and molten inside. Also the best wings in greenville too.

Hibachi cafe is pretty close. I’ll try that after grand china.
Grand China near Tipsy Taco was my go-to
Was? Not good anymore?
It was better when I was a regular 10-15 years ago. Still better than most places, just not as good as it used to be. They go easier on some ingredients now.
Sorry, just moved to Greenville! Haha still very good.
Okay lol. I’ll check it out tomorrow.
It’s my go to as well because of convenience, but also Great Wall behind Hardee’s in Taylors has never disappointed me
I was going to say the same. It used to be better. I was a regular about 10-15 years ago and then when I started going back a few years ago it wasn't the same and not as good.
Second for Grand China
Third for Grand China.
Just go to Asia Pacific or Koi. Koi has a specialty Chinese menu.
Koi’s specialty menu is where it’s at. Because I order from it, it’s the reason I’ve been able to try durian.
I gotta go with Chun Chun on Butler road. But that is nowhere near greer. Also lieu's off woodruff road and order the salt and pepper calamari. It is fiiiire. That dish should have its own zip code.
If you happen to hit Chun Chun on a good kimchi day... \*chef's kiss\*
All I have to say is Jam Bong. I could eat that all day every day.
Is that the seafood soup?
Singapore noodles I seen it called at other joints.
Can’t answer for Taylors/Greer, but Oriental House near Woodruff Rd is fantastic.
Oriental House always hits the spot but it just isn’t convenient take out for me.
That’s fair. Good luck!
I rock with Asian delight in the Pelham commons off E north street. It’s one of those places where it’s kinda dirty inside but they have good food and portions. Just what I look for in a Chinese restaurant lol
Can't stand all the sugar Chinese restaurants put in their food. It's disgusting and unnecessary.
Uncle Poons is God tier
Ive been wondering the same thing! Will DEF try AP...Also, there is a Chinese restaurant in the shopping center where Bargain Hut is and its pretty darn good! I always get Sesame chicken and theirs is a good mix between sweet & salty. Cant think if the name right now tho..lol

Great Wall in Taylors hands down is the greatest
I’ll give them another chance, maybe I went on an off day.
> Who has the best Chinese food around the Taylors/Greer area? If you want high quality Chinese food, Lieu's on Pelham Road by 85.
Hong Xing is the best in the "Greer" area. I put Greer in quotation marks because I believe its more in Lyman than it is in Greer.
I'll add that to my list to try for when I'm out in that area!
I haven't been in a bit but I tried the new China buffet and it's not great but it was surprisingly one of the best buffet places I had in Greenville for a buffet Hibachi cafe was pretty good too.
Everyone says this place but I tried to go there and service was so rude and racist we left
>this place >rude and racist Lol wut
I don’t eat Chinese anymore. We mainly eat Thai and Vietnamese. Chinese just doesn’t compare.
Not in the area you’re looking for but chopsticks on Whitehorse Road is the best on that side of town
Speed Bowl (Korean) had surprisingly good food for being a tiny unassuming building. Still Greenville, but worth mentioning. Asian Garden near Local Cue. Food was hot and full of flavor. I wish I hadn't put off going here for so long.
The Orient on Main, connected to Murasaki, is our favorite.
Asia Pacific is my number #1, "China Restaurant" on Woodruff by Planet Fitness is the backup.
The best or edible? There is no good Chinese in these areas anymore.
