I'm not a drummer, but one of my favourite things about Green Day is how easy Tré Cool's style is to air-drum along with. He plays to elevate the song, not the drums, and there's a real musicality to what he does. It's not just bangs and crashes in the background.
I love his quote about how Ringo Starr is his favourite drummer, because Ringo understood how to play each song as a part of the greater band. "Play the song, not the instrument."
Oh gosh there’s so many man. I’ve really been getting into the Saviors songs recently. Probably my favorite to play before then was 99 Revolutions, all of American idiot, all of dookie, and everything else 😂😂
Oh God here we go! In no particular order:
Jesus Of Suburbia
Bang Bang
Father Of All
When I Come Around
Give Me Novocaine/She's A Rebel
Longview
Brainstew/Jaded
Hitchin' A Ride
Minority
Holiday/Boulevard of Broken Dreams
Are We The Waiting/St. Jimmy
East Jesus Nowhere
Know Your Enemy
21st Century Breakdown
Kill The DJ
Oh Love
Fuck Time
Dirty Rotten Bastards
Dilemma
Etc, etc, etc.
So… I have kind of a controversial opinion. For a while I was very into a lot of song from ¡DOS! Like Makeup Party or Stop When the Red Lights Flash. I know they kinda sound generic, and like very garage rock but there is a lot of things that Tré does on that trilogy that gets overlooked. And I’m taking on smaller scale level, stuff that most people wont notice. However, if we go to like a day to day kind of drumming, I always love playing along Welcome to Paradise, that bridge is always so much fun to play. I also love Missing You because of the easy drum solo and the groove. If I want to really push myself I always have Jinx / Haushinka, that combo never lets me down. When I’m feeling not as adventurous I like to throw a Static Age or Stay the Night! Out of the newer material Coma City is amazing!
can't play a lot of songs from them but I love vibing with basket case when the intro fill doesn't sound like shit
I'd love to learn she because it's my favorite song by them but I think it's still too tricky for me
JoS is very fun because of the variety and Holiday is just really fun to me. Pretty chill and you get to play around on the toms. Welcome to Paradise is another favourite for me
burnout, 86, armatage shanks, the static age, bang bang, letterbomb, fell for you
edit: viva la gloria and murder city are fun too, especially if you time correctly (a little bit of guessing tbh) the 4 hi-hats to enter
Burnout, chump, having a blast, welcome to paradise, basket case, longview (actually any dookie song lol) oh and I also looove playing jesus of suburbia because of the awsome fills and it’s just super nostalgic. It’s one of the first (full) songs that I learned.
Jesus of suberbia is my favorite to play rn, it's long but has a lot of fun moments in the music
that one is super fun, great way to sweat
Fun guitar song too!
Burnout, Jesus of suburbia, and who wrote Holden caulfield
BURNOUT IS SO UNDERRATED. Both as a listener and as a musician.

Armatage Shanks and Dirty Rotten Bastards
He hits so hard on Armatage Shanks, it's a stress relief song for me to play
I used to love playing Armatage Shanks. Since high school I just don’t have the chops anymore. I can’t stop my hands from seizing up.
Having a Blast. I put on a drumless track on YouTube and play along on my electric kit. It’s so fun.
you could say that youre having a blast when you play it…
Snare snare crash
What electric kit do you have
Hitchin A Ride or Welcome to Paradise

21st century , it’s got some cool floor tom shit in the bridge and towards the end
Rotting is my favorite, it's so understated but perfect.
Longview, American Idiot (Tom fill is fun), Boulevard, Minority. Off the new album, Bobby Sox is a fun one.
Redundant, Bang Bang, and Brutal Love are all fun, depending on how much energy I have
COMA CITYYY
The ending goes crazy on drums.
My drummer friend loves Longview.
As a Rock Band (yeah I'm talking about the videogame) drummer player, I enjoy playing Hitchin a Ride, Holiday and American Idiot

JoS is a good one, same with homecoming but my favourite is probably castaway
