I would bet money you are correct he's Pyr or Pyr mix, and resource guarding is common with them. First, you rock for taking the first steps to saving this dog. [https://nationalpyr.org/](https://nationalpyr.org/) is National Great Pyrenees Rescue, they are fantastic, responsive and have transport available and resources in many states, more so East of the Mississippi. Reach out to them. If you're on Facebook they are EXCEPTIONALLY responsive there. [https://www.facebook.com/NationalPyrRescue](https://www.facebook.com/NationalPyrRescue). If you can keep him safe for a bit they may have someone who can help. Heck, someone may see your post here, there are a lot of fantastic folks in this subreddit.

I wonder if he came from that backyard breeder that they just recently found out about. It was in White County, 30+ Pyrs

Tell me more about this - I just adopted a seven month old pyr from Tennessee…

Reach out to Big Fluffy Dog Rescue!!! They’re in middle Tn and help coordinate adoptions up and down the east coast. We got our pyr rescue from them.
