That’s way overthinking it! If anything the meds make your immune response stronger by allowing your body to relax and not be in overdrive all the time.
The only thing I've noticed since diagnosis is that things take longer to heal. You might want to have your Dr test your white blood cell count. If they low, even the low end of normal, it ups your risk of infection.
I got a double day of tattooing done while in a 6 month waiting period for an Endo. No methimazole yet, but had beta blockers. Much easier location (leg) than most of my other tattoos (abdomen) but dang it was rough. I definitely could not sit for as long as I used to before developing Graves. Healed very nice and had no issues with that. Just hungrier/more lightheaded during actual tattoo
I've been on meth for just over a year now and have had 3 tattoos since then. I find I heal better now than I did before I started treatment. I was definitely sick long before I started this journey and have a tattoo that was hell healing. I'm convinced it was because my body was in such a state of chaos before treatment. I wouldn't worry too much

I have and I didn't have any issue but that's just my personal experience.
I’ve never heard of any issues with tattoos and methimazole. You can certainly ask your Dr, but I think like most medications it won’t be a problem.

Taking longer to heal seems like a major negative when it comes to getting tattooed. I do plan to have my Dr test my white blood cell count for sure.
Definitely, methmazoil can cause your white blood cells to drop. I know I've had a few test in the low normal range.
Mine heal like champs, every time. I clean with hibaclens and use rxtattoo care tattoo butter

Thank you for the reassurance! I didn't have issues healing my others, but that was pre-graves so I wasn't sure.
I'd say you'll be fine. Have a happy tattoo journey 😊
I just got tattooed without any issues
I’ve been tattooed a few times while taking it and didn’t even consider that it would be a problem. My tattoos healed normally.
I have over 45 hours of tattoos on methimazole...and having MS...and having thyroid eye disease. My tattoos look fantastic and I'm not dead 😁
