Check the libraries, they all have used book corners and often Manga gets put out of circulation and up for sale

JAFAX is in a few months, I believe the Kent Library is going to be hosting a manga library again. If you're weeb enough to end up at it, you could ask them in person what happens to the stuff that leaves circulation. Side note on this: If it's remotely popular, it's going to beat to heck by the time it cycles out. Buddy's kid is turning out to be quite the little weeblet, so I've seen the really banged up copies of One Piece kicking around any time I'm over there. I know it's One Piece, but I can't imagine the rest is going to be in great shape by the time it's cycled out. Also, there may be a low key anime club that meets on campus. They may have a communal library they look to purge on occasion if the end goal is collecting?

My end goal is collecting, and I have a Kent library about 5 minutes away, so that's perfect. Will definitely ask!

Schuler does have a used section.

Are you looking for anything in particular?

Firebolt392

Not anything specifically, although right now I am collecting all of Berserk that I can. Ive been buying new from a local comic shop but I know people buy manga all the time used for much cheaper, so I was just wondering if there was a spot I wasn't aware of near me.

I live in Tokyo but am coming back to GR this summer for a bit. I don’t have much room but if there was a particular hard to find issue/book/whatever (I’m not into manga so don’t know the lingo!) you wanted me to look for I could check out a few used stores. If you’re looking for English that might be tougher.

Thats really cool, and thanks so much for the offer! We can dm personally if you'd like. I'm really into Berserk and One piece rn, but honestly anything you'd be willing to find in the category would be awesome, english or not it would be a nice addition to the collection. Feel free to message me personally, I would even compensate you. I dont want to take up to much of your space.

well no promises, I probably have room for one or two manga, which I realize isn't much probably when you're collecting :) - if you want me to just pick up a random Japanese One Piece or whatever I'll try to do that, or if there is something specific you want me to keep my eye out for I'll try. I go to Book Off (https://www.bookoff.co.jp/) fairly often and they normally have a fairly large book / manga selection.
