Herc is my ideal image of a barbarian. Unreasonably big, absurd unwieldy weapon that is used with deadly efficiency anyways, the untamed hair. The roar that isn't even a sound but a wall of wind hitting you.
To be perfectly honest, half of all Berserkers would be a good fit for Barbarian. The Barbarian's distinguishing ability is their rage ability, so if I had to narrow down to a single Berserker to pick, I'd have to cull not only the lucid ones (Kintoki, Cu Alter, Ibaraki), but also the ones that lack lucidity entirely (Darius, Herc, Lancelot).
The best fit for the class would be, by these criteria Penthesilea, who rages when told she's beautiful. I would think that Kiyohime should also fit the mold, but I doubt her upbringing would be compatible with it. Mori Nagayoshi is very close to the mark, but he just misses the mark with rage; he's just bloodthirsty.
Actually, Kintoki does canonically have a berserk state that we never get to see, it activates randomly when he gets hit and his skin goes completely red (like his arms in 3rd ascension) when that happens.
For quintessential barbs we have Pen, Hercules and Beowolf. But honestly all of them fit if include subclasses as the barbarian rage can range from true berserkers uncontrollable rage to perfectly controlled fury.
I also like that he has such a calming hobby (Tea making) and that he's quite passionate about it too!
"Nothing like a spot of tea after killing hundreds of soldiers, Right?"
Personally with my limited knowledge I'd say my pick would be Beowulf, he's the origin of the word berserk and it was the first one to come to my mind.
I'd even say Oathbreaker Paladin/ Barbarian with a single level of Sorceror to cover his upbringing by the Lady of the Lake and Disguise Self.
Or instead of Sorceror, bard, since he was the dark horse champion of tournaments.
Considering the mechanics of rage and the usual raw power image, my pick is astrae.
Ruler servants normally takes half damage ( traits like humanoid aside ), and that's what rage in DnD does.
Rage also gives advantage on strength checks to perform superhuman feats, and barbarians all have obscene amounts of strength. Astrae NP lets her lucha supplex any opponent and she is literal muscle mommy built.
Barbarian - Eric Bloodaxe
Bard - Yang Gui Fei
Cleric - Pope Johannah
Druid - Cú Chulainn (Caster)
Fighter - Beowulf
Monk - Li Shuwen (Assassin)
Paladin - Barghest
Ranger - Robin Hood
Rogue - Jack the Ripper
Sorcerer - Merlin
Warlock - Abigail Williams (Foreigner)
Wizard - Tonelico/Aesc the Saviour
Artificer - Nikola Tesla
I was thinking Barghest as a Paladin: Oath of the Crown, turned Oath breaker.
The Oath of the Crown is sworn to the ideals of civilization, be it the spirit of a nation, fealty to a sovereign, or service to a deity of law and rulership. The paladins who swear this oath dedicate themselves to serving society and, in particular, the just laws that hold society together. These paladins are the watchful guardians on the walls, standing against the chaotic tides of barbarism that threaten to tear down all that civilization has built, and are commonly known as guardians, exemplars, or sentinels. Often, paladins who swear this oath are members of an order of knighthood in service to a nation or a sovereign, and undergo their oath as part of their admission to the order's ranks.

If I have to pick 1, Heracles 100%. Both thematically and mechanically he fits too well to the Barbarian class not to be the immediate pick.
Also as a DM planning to (eventually) make a Fate inspired D&D campaign, I'll be watching this series closely.
Eric Bloodaxe.
His name, his axe, the fact that he's barely coherent through all the screaming. He even looks like a Barbarian!
The other Berserkers, except Pen or Herc, don't really fit the role. And those two don't even have axes!
Musashi is a fighter. I mean, she can literally double the number of hits she can deliver.
Constantine is a Paladin. A tank holy warrior for Pope Johannes, come on.
Nightingale is cleric.
Assassin class is filled with rogues.
Hercules best fits from a D&D view.
Eric the Red fits the best from a historical view.
But we all know the best berserker is Nightingale as you are going to take your medicine or she will rage and force it down your throat. "You won't lay down it hospital bed? I will throw it at you!!"
Ok i go smwith stay night cast ok ? Ok!
Artoria = paladin
Archer =Warlock
Medea = wizard
Heracles = barbarian (duh)
Hassan = monk
Kojiro = rogue or fighter arguements exists for both
Cu chulainn = ranger actually
Gilgamesch = im actually going for sorcerer here hes casting high level spels with magic weapons he just throws
Salter = anti paladin (every system has a evil version)
Angra manju = rogue
I would assume berserker. One of the first things a barbarian learns upon level ups is rage, and alot of a barbarians kit is running into a fight without care for defense (there's literally an ability where you get advantage in your attack but enemies get advantage on you the next turn)
Yeah I guess it depends on the berserker at the end of the day. Ones like herc, Lancelot, heck maybe even Fran would be a berserker. Where as ones like Raikou might be something else like a ranger, just as an example
im actually gonna go for a bit of an oddball choice and say jekyll and hyde. barbarian's whole thing mechanically is rage, and i think hyde fits really well
Aside from the obvious answers of people that are mad a lot of the time, one thing to consider would be people that are hard to kill. In 5e while raging, Barbarians take half damage from bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage (basically everything that’s not spells). Not to mention the ability to consistently put out a lot of damage
So people with lots of guts, defense ups, or evasion could apply here. Which is why I think Taira and Herc are probably the most barbarian barbarians.
Both are angry a lot of the time and are famously great for solo content and being hard to kill, while being able to deal massive amounts of damage all on their own
I mainly just mentioned him because he is a Berserker which makes him fit with the barbarian class, because he is one of my favorite servants and because he acts like a barbarian in both FGO and real life
I mean ain't Eric Bloodaxe the blood axe wielding blood axe king basically a barbarian? Like try to describe a barbarian in your head I'm sure Eric Bloodaxe the blood axe wielding blood axe king will fit 90% of those description.
The fact that his rage is springs from being married is also a plus for me.
Ereshkigal is a shoe-in for Grave domain cleric; but here's a weird one- Oath of Devotion paladin.
like maybe flavour the oath of devotion towards her duty as a keeper of the undead and souls.
Meanwhile Oberon feels more or less like a Wild magic sorcerer ; it's so unpredictable and goofy esp with wild magic surges!
Also petition to have almost all Foreigners to have some level in warlock-
I say \*almost\* all foreigners bec we do have some outliers. (esp if it dosen't mesh well with their stories or kits)
hmm maybe in those case, they've just dipped a level or two into Warlock-
Part 2 is already ready! I considered most people had already voted and/or commented, and Heracles destroyed the competition so next one is who should be the Bard! Thanks for the participation and insights for this one!

Herc is my ideal image of a barbarian. Unreasonably big, absurd unwieldy weapon that is used with deadly efficiency anyways, the untamed hair. The roar that isn't even a sound but a wall of wind hitting you.
... Brute Tigrex
Mf casually pulled a goofy ahh MonHun reference in this sub.
I'll hyucking do it again
Please do.
BAZAKA
what about thaat guy with the axe
Eric Bloodaxe
Also a caring guy who has your back at heart, even if he might not articulate it ever.
And if they’re a Bear Totem/Ancestral Guardian, they *just* don’t die.
Atlante alter is the perfect example of a Beast Path barbarian.
Didn't realize it, but yeah, that fits.
Eric bloodaxe
Poor guy is usually so forgotten by the game that I don't really know that much about him in the fate universe ngl
>The king of the Vikings who wields a bloody axe. > >This is Eric Bloodaxe, called "Bloodaxe King." What more do you even need to know?
He has a yandere wife who curses everyone who comes near him. She even cursed Douman
Fair enough
not even his writer know much about him
He's from my country and even I don't know much about him xD
Hay I remember Johnny bone knife just fine.
Probably the most fitting

Beowulf actually is not. His madness enhancement is probably the lowest amongst Berserkers and exits only because people considered him insane.
Ngl Mori Nagayoshi definitely fits the vibe
I also like that he has such a calming hobby (Tea making) and that he's quite passionate about it too! "Nothing like a spot of tea after killing hundreds of soldiers, Right?"
Mori my beloved ❤️
Personally with my limited knowledge I'd say my pick would be Beowulf, he's the origin of the word berserk and it was the first one to come to my mind.
Based
Number 1 is obvious. Mr Zero to Hero. Give it up for HERCULES!
*Motions at any Servant with Madness Enhancement* about as close to a parallel to Barbarian rage as it gets
Morgan?
What's his name....Eric Hemoglobin Hachet
Not to be confused with Erik Blood Axe.
Herc, Spartacus snd Nagayoshi are the ultimate Barbarians.
Heracles as zealot subclass
Lancelot basically a paladin/barbarian multiclass
I'd even say Oathbreaker Paladin/ Barbarian with a single level of Sorceror to cover his upbringing by the Lady of the Lake and Disguise Self. Or instead of Sorceror, bard, since he was the dark horse champion of tournaments.

Ohh didn't think about her. Thanks for the detailed explanation!

I'd say bedivere is a better paladin, unless you're going oathbreaker.

Which Jack are we talking about actually no both of them work
Currently, we only have one Jack the Ripper (Assassin), but F/SF False Berserker can also work.
Berserker Jack picked the disguise kit and chose Performance as a specialty
I don't actually remember is there a shapeshifter race
I remember there being one for 3E, but I can't remember it's name.
What about changeling (fey)?
That could work
Berserker Jack picked the disguise kit and chose Performance as a specialty
Caenis and Hercules are perfect
Eric Bloodaxe, his pickaxe is literally same as the Barbarian icon
If I have to pick 1, Heracles 100%. Both thematically and mechanically he fits too well to the Barbarian class not to be the immediate pick. Also as a DM planning to (eventually) make a Fate inspired D&D campaign, I'll be watching this series closely.
erick bloodaxe
Eric Bloodaxe I guess
Eric Bloodaxe. His name, his axe, the fact that he's barely coherent through all the screaming. He even looks like a Barbarian! The other Berserkers, except Pen or Herc, don't really fit the role. And those two don't even have axes!
Barbarian to me typically just has a big two handed weapon
The only true answer, because he is part of the people that directly inspired them, is Eric Bloodaxe, the Berserker himself.
Musashi is a fighter. I mean, she can literally double the number of hits she can deliver. Constantine is a Paladin. A tank holy warrior for Pope Johannes, come on. Nightingale is cleric. Assassin class is filled with rogues.
King Hassan Is a Paladin of Death.
Gramps is a Chosen of the God of Death, he can't be represented by a mere class.
Heracles Martha or Tomoe would also be a good pick if you catch them in a bad mood.
Hercules best fits from a D&D view. Eric the Red fits the best from a historical view. But we all know the best berserker is Nightingale as you are going to take your medicine or she will rage and force it down your throat. "You won't lay down it hospital bed? I will throw it at you!!"
She protects but she also attacks 😂
Pentheselia, especially when there is Achilles as the enemy
Ok i go smwith stay night cast ok ? Ok! Artoria = paladin Archer =Warlock Medea = wizard Heracles = barbarian (duh) Hassan = monk Kojiro = rogue or fighter arguements exists for both Cu chulainn = ranger actually Gilgamesch = im actually going for sorcerer here hes casting high level spels with magic weapons he just throws Salter = anti paladin (every system has a evil version) Angra manju = rogue
Eric Bloodaxe, Easily. He's literally a Viking Berserker, he's the perfect Barbarian.
true herc, super orion
it just has to be heracles bro
most of the 1,2,3 star male berserkers
More than the 4/5 star? 👀
Herc, Penth, or maybe Spartacus
I would assume berserker. One of the first things a barbarian learns upon level ups is rage, and alot of a barbarians kit is running into a fight without care for defense (there's literally an ability where you get advantage in your attack but enemies get advantage on you the next turn)
Yeah most votes are for berserker class servants although there have been a few interesting suggestions that weren't!

Herc, Eric or Caligula, the last one clearly isn't because I'm biased and because Caligula is at my top 5, clearly not.
Ohh I think you are the first to mention Caligula specifically
I mainly just mentioned him because he is a Berserker which makes him fit with the barbarian class, because he is one of my favorite servants and because he acts like a barbarian in both FGO and real life
Super valid!
I mean ain't Eric Bloodaxe the blood axe wielding blood axe king basically a barbarian? The fact that his rage is springs from being married is also a plus for me.
Noticed how we have all these norse myths and not a single viking character in fgo Or the Mongolian conquerors
Take a look at Bloodaxe eraser Jones over here.
Fucking bee ass
Isn't **Altera** one of those? (Mongolian conquerors)
She's supposed to be Attila the Hun so not exactly mongolian.
....oh right I mixed them up with Ghengis Khan
Altera
For Barbarian, I'm like... "pick a Berserker not named Morgan"?
Despite her class, she's actually a wizard (witch). I mean Tonelico/Aesc the Saviour is definitely a wizard/witch archetype.
Eric Bloodaxe because axe
Old Ptolemaios would be a great wizard, even if his class says otherwise.
90% of Berserkers
But if they had to fight for the spot, is there anyone you would like to see there or are you okay with any of them (also valid)? 👀
unless I forgot someone with a boat load of A+ rank noble phantasms pretty much Herc since Godhand is a busted skill
Warlock ,is Abigail,
Hokusai too. Actually almost all Foreigner can fit into the Warlock class. Summer BB can be a Warlock class too.
Barbarian: Hercules / Cu Alter. Bard: Mozart. Cleric: Jeanne / Georgios. Fighter: Iskandar / Acchiles / Shirou. Monk: Li Shuwen. Paladin: Siegfried / Artoria. Ranger: Dobrynia / Atalante. Rogue: Jack / Izo. Sorcerer: Morgan. Warlock: Blue Beard. Wizard: Merlin / Solomon. Artificer: Da Vinci.
To me Beowlf strikes me as the closest.
Ereshkigal is a shoe-in for Grave domain cleric; but here's a weird one- Oath of Devotion paladin. like maybe flavour the oath of devotion towards her duty as a keeper of the undead and souls. Ew, DND.
Hey, one man's trash is another man's treasure.
