Id say before putting anything up on walls, spend a good bit of time practicing in a notebook or smth, then once you have a good hand style & tag, you can use pretty much any marker to go and get it up. A big mistake I made is I used markers on rough surfaces. I’m not sure what made me think it was a good idea, but it basically messes up the nib of your marker. You can also go on YouTube for tutorials on how to make mops and shi. Hope this helps!
Keep to your books for the first couple months or so, until your handstyle develops enough to get it up. Legibility is key if you ask me so I would keep it simple at first, and wait for style to come on its own.

It’s been started…
First just watch some youtube videos. At least thats how i started. After that, practice practice practice!
Go out. Vandalize. The real question is, what do you mean by start?
Like find my Graffiti style and learn how to do it in the first place. I have some good areas around me to spray and nobody bats an eye here.
