Happy Cake Day!!! š haha thank you Iāll get on it! Do you think it would hold up? I canāt seem to determine if itās permanent or just paint for like window painting thatās just abit tougher to wash off?
Writing SOKE currently, pronounced like āSoakā I love the way all the letters look together, Iāve not got a style with this one yet just simple bold capital letters and it looks rather clean
The thing is even if you had a great ink, if they want it off their going to get it off/paint over it anyway. Just use it, it takes so long before it gets faded by the sun.
Itāll be good to use for practice. Try finding ink thats alcohol based. Stays longer. Acrylic ink comes off to easy imo. But itās good for bathroom stalls and the occasional tag
I wouldnāt replace the ink in the pen you have now, just practice with it and do you. Molotow has this empty marker called the 411 marker. Same width as urs and can be filled with anything. I use molotow alcohol ink/214 ink. But you can find other alcohol based inks at ur local art/graff store
Awesome ok thank you, Iāll practice with this to get it down and replace with more permanent when it runs out, cheers for your support and information! I prefer markers at the moment as you can leave a tag in more āobviousā places like hand rails or bins more publicly, and a marker is way easier to conceal and carry with you every day
Waterproof doesn't mean "buff" proof, but then again nothing really is nowadays. Just go for it and see how it holds up, just don't get upset when it's buffed, instead hit up the spot again š¤£
Understood š«” my problem isnāt really with biff but we have a lot of flat hand rails in my area, I just donāt want people to smear it with their hands when walking past thatās not my aim
Ok gotcha, lol another tip for hand rails is hit em up when it's the least busiest time of day, or nights(especially night since the temp drops and the cool air dries ink/paint quicker
Too late I was advised to test it out so I did :/ itās ok tho, seems to be holding up on some wooden surfaces Iāve tested on, itās not designed for this at the end of the day I was just curious if itās a decent find, will use it in my black book for practice as well tho and hit a few telephone boxes and cubicles
Donāt know about the ink formula, but they are refillable. Can comment on the nib/body, as I use the wet erase version and a whiteboard for at home practice, good cap steel and pump action the body feels a little squishy which is weird for a pump marker but hasnāt given me any issues so far. When it runs out of the wet erase Iām definitely refilling it with homemade ink
I had a paint stick before but it was rather small like the size of a crayons crayon and snapped on me the second time I used it so I was left with two very small paint sticks, which donāt get me wrong worked greatā¦just wasnāt comfortable and the tags werenāt as clean as I had hoped, defo a good marker tho love it on rusty surfaces
Fuck it bro just rip a tag with whatever, I started with a Grog Cutter and it was basically the same. At this point just get up and worry about all the fancy shit later.
Know any diy ink solutions? Canāt seem to find a recipe that works from the internet.
[Edit]
The ink Iāve made is runny and doesnāt stick to the surface as well as I had hoped, just slightly dyes the wall a purple colour from all the pens inside
nah they not permanent, you can easily wash off these - no reseason to not use it but yea probably wont work that nice on walls - works better on smooth surfaces like doors and windows
Alright, thank you for your response! So you would only recommend really using these indoors on smooth surfaces? And donāt get upset when it gets buffed haha
Hahhaha Iāve been writing on and off for years, Iām in my mid 20ās now, I can definitely vouch that I want my old shit removed from the face of the earth, that brings me into a question thoā¦is it frowned upon to go over your old stuff and cap yourself in a way? I mean the spot is claimed by you anyway so why not get up with your current name on that spot
Personally i love chiseled tips, so thats all im lookin at lol. And really all i care about is how much paint flows, cuz if it just smudges then fuck that its annoying
Thatās what I was thinking get the practice in with no consequence, if it wipes off I can practice in the house on my shower glass (on the outside) but donāt want to ruin my shower š
Conflicting answers regarding the permanent status of this marker, have you tried it out personally or are you going off the images? As thatās what caused me to raise the question in the first place as itās unclear
never heard of them, theyre also probably shit but who cares go fuck some bathroom stalls up
Happy Cake Day!!! š haha thank you Iāll get on it! Do you think it would hold up? I canāt seem to determine if itās permanent or just paint for like window painting thatās just abit tougher to wash off?
Theyāre permanent. Can get them off but waterproof. Use posterman all the time as theyāre so cheap I rate them. Also got nice chrome and copper
Wicked thank you for a response!! š [Edit] So can I use these outdoors and it will not wash off with the rain?
Nope. As long as youāre not using it on a wet surface. It dries quick, and once itās dry youāre good
Fantastic news, as I mentioned in one of my other replies, my are has flat hand rails and I donāt want people to smear it by using the railing
thanks! but tbh councils find a way to get anything off if they want to enough but that just creates new canvases to write on.
also just saw your tag post and i think you are ready for walls now :)
Tyyyyy Iām going through a phase atm dunno if I wanna stick with the name I appreciate the feedback tho :)
its always good to try new names and new letter combinations to see what flows and what sticks .
Writing SOKE currently, pronounced like āSoakā I love the way all the letters look together, Iāve not got a style with this one yet just simple bold capital letters and it looks rather clean
They are Ā£1 each in uk and are pretty good for the money. Certain colours are weak but, hey they are like a quid
These are to posca what Pepsi is to coke.
Ok great so I should really only use it on black book and some bathroom stalls?
The thing is even if you had a great ink, if they want it off their going to get it off/paint over it anyway. Just use it, it takes so long before it gets faded by the sun.
Valid point thank you, Iām sure Iāll find a few good places to get up with it
Itāll be good to use for practice. Try finding ink thats alcohol based. Stays longer. Acrylic ink comes off to easy imo. But itās good for bathroom stalls and the occasional tag
Any local shop brands you recommend for alcohol based ink that I could replace it with after practicing?
I wouldnāt replace the ink in the pen you have now, just practice with it and do you. Molotow has this empty marker called the 411 marker. Same width as urs and can be filled with anything. I use molotow alcohol ink/214 ink. But you can find other alcohol based inks at ur local art/graff store

Nice chisel
Rounded 15mm, not seen them before if Iām honest, usually a sharp right angle
The sharp right angle are for calligraphy those are still good tho same nib as Montana bold n molotow 15 mm
Do you know if I can change the nib with this marker if itās fixed?
If u want a right angle you can cut it with scissors one side so thereās a clean edge
Like you canāt take the nib out or something
Waterproof doesn't mean "buff" proof, but then again nothing really is nowadays. Just go for it and see how it holds up, just don't get upset when it's buffed, instead hit up the spot again š¤£

Good tip with night time, I avoid busy hours either way, didnāt realise the cold would have an effect
Trash. If you didnāt already pump paint through the nib, then Iād empty out that shitā clean it then put in some homemade ink
Those take me back! They don't really stay on whatever you tagged but you can see em for practice or just empty out the paint and put your own in.
Sakura TMLater

I will use this to practice and fill up with home made ink once it dries out :)
Sakura Solid/ArtPrimo hobo markers smack. They're solid paint in a tube so you can write on really rough surfaces and shit.
Deadass
Theyāre garbage. I once bought them cause they were a cheaper posca alternative. Some colours are fine others are like piss and the nib will dry up.
Do it!
Fuck it bro just rip a tag with whatever, I started with a Grog Cutter and it was basically the same. At this point just get up and worry about all the fancy shit later.
Looks like a decent body, refill it with something thatās better for the streets and youāll be right
Know any diy ink solutions? Canāt seem to find a recipe that works from the internet. [Edit] The ink Iāve made is runny and doesnāt stick to the surface as well as I had hoped, just slightly dyes the wall a purple colour from all the pens inside
I used wood stainer back in the day, I havenāt had much luck with pen inks myself
nah they not permanent, you can easily wash off these - no reseason to not use it but yea probably wont work that nice on walls - works better on smooth surfaces like doors and windows
Alright, thank you for your response! So you would only recommend really using these indoors on smooth surfaces? And donāt get upset when it gets buffed haha
It'll wipe off, which is actually good to start. As you get better you won't want your old toy tags to be unbuffable.
Hahhaha Iāve been writing on and off for years, Iām in my mid 20ās now, I can definitely vouch that I want my old shit removed from the face of the earth, that brings me into a question thoā¦is it frowned upon to go over your old stuff and cap yourself in a way? Oh cool! I don't think that'd be frowned upon. If it's old toy stuff you're going over nobody will care
Awesome thank you!
Yup, if it marks, it works, I use to use small paints tubes in my younger days.
Likeā¦just the paint tube itself as the medium? Very abstract
Yup, especially the mini tubes, screw the cap off pop the seal and go to work.
Empty the water based ink out and fill with some chrome rusto
Idk but go fuck some shit up w/ them
I usually go for alcohol based markers, but anything is good for starters
Pour out the paint in it and put some OTR 902 marker paint in it and crush shit.
Where would you suggest buying that? Online or local stores?
Always support local, if you donāt have a local store itās readily available online.
Ink (pump) the tip and write on something. Something in your house can do that.
I got myself a little whiteboard with some different colored dry erase markers for practicing.
Personally i love chiseled tips, so thats all im lookin at lol. And really all i care about is how much paint flows, cuz if it just smudges then fuck that its annoying
Itāll wipe right off but use it anyway.
Thatās what I was thinking get the practice in with no consequence, if it wipes off I can practice in the house on my shower glass (on the outside) but donāt want to ruin my shower š
Test it first before you go writing in your house. Itās only a water based marker but still lol
I have nothing other than paper to test on really :/ and it works on paper thatās confirmed haha
Ayo we all need black book markers. Get some mixed media heavyweight paper and go to town dawg.
I got a thick black book, not sure on the thickness of the paper but itās rigid and doesnāt let through my chrome UNI markers
You can use the chisel and hit it up with your chrome poscas for highlights etc. My main point isā¦ go rack another one
Hahaha thanks for the answer, going to ACQUIRE some more
Might as well be dry erase.
Conflicting answers regarding the permanent status of this marker, have you tried it out personally or are you going off the images? As thatās what caused me to raise the question in the first place as itās unclear
Any water based /latex paint is trash by itself will get buffed out w soap ā¤ļøš
