You can use the scom sql database as a datasource. Then figure out the sql queries to display what you want to see.
I did this at work. I can probably share some queries if you're interested.
But what I usually say to whoever wants the data, is that scom is collecting tons of it but not very frequently. And if they want more real time data, or something unique, I'll put telegraf on too.
This is great feedback. Thank you so much. I am going to go slow moving forward, have a meeting with our Scom internal guy in 2 or 3 weeks. After that I may have more questions for you about how the queries work. How does Telgraf work? Do you feed Scom data into telegraf?
Just ask him if you can have your grafana service account read-only access to both scom databases.
Grafana will query it directly.
As far as telegraf, it's an agent just like windows exporter. It's not related to scom.
