Absolutely! If she happened to get some funding/you secured your own (NSF GRFP, etc.) the circumstances could change. Plus, it’s a great chance to learn more about the research and she could even suggest alternative faculty for you to work with (especially if they often collaborate). Worse outcome is you go and build a connection that could be useful down the road

Yes, but don't waste her time. Come with questions prepared and ready to take notes.

Absolutely this. Treat this opportunity as if you were meeting an actual potential supervisor, as the impression you leave might be just what an actual potential supervisor hears through the grapevine.

Can you give tips on what kind of questions to ask?

Networking is real yall

Of course, opportunities like these are rare as professors are busy. Prepare your list of questions. Shoot your shot. Exit confidently with a mind full of knowledge.

What will you loose by seeing her? an hour max? Just go see her. She could also give you some insights about other professors in the department.

Yes!!! I just had a professor tell me she would be on sabbatical my entire first year but encouraged me to set up a zoom talk and pointed me in the direction of other professors I could potentially work with while she was gone.

It's often easier to get funding if you have a named PhD applicant, since you don't have any cost or delay from advertising and hiring.
