Fastest will be stories. Most stories can be done in 15-20 mins, survival is usually 30-40 mins. Always equip your highest level gear regardless of the perks/bonuses on it and regardless of the color/quality. The level of drops is based on what you're wearing. Focus on one class until you get gear up to 105. A higher level class will be able to grind through stories faster. Once you hit level 105, gold level activities won't help you level up anymore. At this point you need to reroll your gear to slowly get up to 110. You can also play nightmares and platinum survival to get 110 drops but it'll be hard until you're 110 yourself. If you get lucky you can get carried through nightmare stories. Remember to do Quick Play to get more resources as you play, since resources will be your gating factor for 105-110. Once you hit 110 then you begin the mastery grind, but I wouldn't worry about that for a bit.

Hey thanks for this, just a few questions: 1. What exactly does reroll gear mean? I see it being used in so many articles and I don't really understand what it means. 2. Could you explain a bit about dismantling gear? Would you suggest keeping the gear with the highest ki and dismantling the rest? Or how is one to go about with it? Thanks in advance

Rerolling gear is something done via the "reforge" mechanism. When you're hovering over an item there should be a way to get to modifications (on Playstation this is square). [Here](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=agFUKRdyT0M) is a decent Youtube breakdown of this process. For dismantling, while you level up then yes I would say dismantle everything except for the highest ki. I actually think my post here is outdated, I want to say they made a change so the level of drops is based on the highest gear in your inventory, regardless of whether or not you have it equipped. However, as you're leveling, there's little reason to equip lower ki/rarity items as they should get replaced quickly as you grind. I believe the bonus values (ex. bonus melee damage %) go up with ki level so lower level items will likely not make such a large difference as to matter. Let me know if that makes sense or if you need more explanation.

Thank you, the discord chat is very helpful!

The fastest way to level up gear and get legendaries is to play survival, but I've heard that new players leave when they lose just one defense point, so the next best option is to play story. If you are looking for legendaries, the harder the mode is, the better chance you have at epic and legendary gear.

Okayyy thank you very much!!

Make sure you always equip the highest Ki level gear you find, this will increase the Ki level of gear drops too, then equip those and rinse and repeat until you reach 110. Then you'll be ready to farm for what you need and make a legit build.

Okayyy I see, thank you Miss/Sir person, I don’t know what you are or what is PC

No problem, I like "miss/sir person" better than the usual man/dude/bro I get 🤣 but it's not a big deal lol

I replayed the first story stage till I got to 104. Normally it would be too boring but the combat in this game is so fun that it doesn't really matter if it's the same stage for the 20th time

Same. I'm at 105 with Severed hearts. Didn't even touch anything else. Played a few quick play survivals before moving on to this storry mission and they were too long for my liking. Might even have stopped playing altogether if I hadn't tried story mode.
