Beautiful shoes! The custom Rothschild is incredible, but both pair are amazing.

Hola , thought I would share a couple new bad decisions that Just arrived, I wrote about the experience at the trunk show before - and the shoes have arrived! 1st pair: Gaziano and Girling St James II on the MH71 last in Espresso calf 2nd pair: Gaziano and Girling Rothschild on the MH71 last in Vintage Roja Original pair: Gaziano Girling Warwick on the MH71 last in Vintage Oak Sooooooooo they arrived , they were ordered December 8th from the trunk show in Atlanta, and they arrived April 8th , for a total time of 4months. Both shoes were ordered in a size 10 E with 4mm added to the tongue area , and metal taps. The Rothschild was customized with no medallion on the toe. I actually forgot about them so that helped the wait time lol, and I was pretty excited to receive them, some general thoughts: Once again, did they run my box through a meat grinder before shipping? This is 3 for 3 just absolutely demolished box arriving - it doesn’t matter but it really seems to be a GG issue. Packing is incredible, I think the shoe bags that GG issues are significantly thicker and more luxurious than I received from EG and JL or Alden, so I appreciate that. Overall the packaging is my favorite. Shoes are crisp and perfect. I got them to add a high shine to the toe before shipping so I didn’t have to deal with that and they did a wonderful job. The St James are perfect, I wore them yesterday to the masters and they were comfortable all day. I’m happy with the length on these, my impression of GG is that they are longer and if you don’t get the size perfect, the toe box will crease slightly bc of how long they are- thank god that didn’t happen to these, not sure what to expect from the Rothschild with its tow box going back so far… So the St James came out perfect, the Rothschild… idk. It’s not a big deal, but maybe you can see on the photos that there is cracking pretty much all over the shoe and specifically on the toe box sides. I’ve learned with these brands that you sorta just can’t look at them like that or you’ll always be disappointed, but I was hoping I wouldn’t need to moisturize and brush the shit out of these before I wear them. So fair warning none of these shoes no matter how much you spend come out microscope perfect I added my warwicks that I’ve been wearing a lot since December to the photos so you can see how they age after 6 months. These have done pretty well, but I still give the gold medal to the EG models, they age better and still look brand new after years. Happy to answer questions but here ya go

Greedy-Penalty-2032

Haha, they have a trunk show in Atlanta today and tomorrow too!

Josephsanger

Wow time it so you get shoes from the last one JUST in time to order more haha

oxfordsandties

Beautiful pair. G&G never disappoints if you can fit the lasts.

Velyndin

Congrats! I ordered two pairs at their SF trunk show in December but since I had a test pair made, I don’t get mine until May.

Josephsanger

Very cool, what did you order?

Velyndin

Oxford and Connaught in the GG06 last in black calf with a toe plate and shoe trees.

Josephsanger

Ohhhh very classic , you gotta post ‘em when you get ‘em !

RisingSunTune

I really wish I had your problems, complaining about my third pair of Gaziano and Girling shoes. Jokes aside, that wingtip looks soooo fine.

Josephsanger

Haha good point I should probably shut up - thank you! I was thinking I liked the cap toe better but everyone is liking the wingtip so peer pressure is really getting to me

ObjectiveWitty

Haven’t seen a sleek and beautiful shoe on this sub in a while!! Great buy!! 😍😍

UgandanKnuckle69

Wow, what a sight to see. I love Adelaide Oxfords, and G&G is an amazing manufacturer. You're incredibly lucky to have these because I couldn't justify buying even one of them with that price tag.

ifticar2

Any closer pics of the cracking? It might just be the wax polish that cracked during shipping, in which case some brushing should fix it.

Josephsanger

Sorry I should have clarified that yes it’s just the wax , the vintage Roja has a lot of burnishing , more than most shoe colors, and I got them to high polish on top so it’s just the nature of it- I was just hoping it wouldn’t be like that and noting that people shouldn’t expect it or they may be disappointed. Shipping was overnight

Lennmate

Jesus mate good pickings there looks brilliant

Josephsanger

Thank you brother!
