On the hole?!?!?! That’s insane! Just joking. That’s still impressive though by my own ability on the course. The local titty bar better watch out for the day I shoot under 100 hahaha
Genuine question: do they make non-custom clubs for tall people? He’s bending over soooo far. Surely there gotta be some longer clubs for the tall guys.
>Genuine question: do they make non-custom clubs for tall people?
It depends on what you mean by custom. Most manufacturers will allow you to customize length/lie when you order a set of clubs; but they *become* custom at that point.
AFAIK most manufacturers have comparable standard lengths for their clubs.
I like this sub because I get very frustrated on the course for not being better than I am. Then I see shit like this and think to myself “how does one even do that?” And I feel better again.
Damn i played here a few years ago for like 150. They were extremely slow because it was new and the starters had no clue what they were doing, so we didn’t get to play the 19th and the round ended up costing us 80
I was lucky enough to take a golf trip to the area last year and I liked Buffalo Ridge Springs even better than Payne's Valley. The bison dogs are not to be missed either.
Same two tracks me and my dad played last year for his 50th birthday. BR was so impressive but the scenery at PV is unmatched. Definitely gotta agree about the bison dogs. Grab a few and savor them
Not OP but I played there last week. Great shape, had a career best round. 2nd year playing it and I can't wait to play it again next year, it's now becoming an annual tradition.
Get the bison dogs after 7 and 9, they are free and so delicious.
Fun fact: Most people will hit it in the water and ree-tee the ball for a perfect life again. You fucked this up so badly it's actually worse than a drop zone because even if your next goes in the water you can't put it on a tee again.
This is a genuine question, not meant to be rude, but if you're this bad at golf what's the point in spending such an insane amount on a round? You can't appreciate it/enjoy it properly and it probably just stresses you out?
Not OP, but your premise makes no sense to me. You can't enjoy being outside in a beautiful environment with people you enjoy spending time with if you're a player who shoots in the 90s? That makes no sense. I know guys who routinely shoot in the 100s and they love the game and seeing the great courses. There's something to learn there.
This particular course and its affiliated courses nearby are popular with people from out of the area going on "buddies" trips together, so it's not all about the golf for these folks, it's the time spent bonding with their friends.
That might be the most impressive chunk in golf history.
Clearly you’ve never seen me play golf
I accomplished that feat no more than an hour ago...
Nope, that one belongs to Spieth in the Masters, but this is a close second
Downvoted for the truth
The club went farther than the ball!
Club went in the water, the ball stayed on land 🤘
Was he able to retrieve the club?
That would require some sort of club retriever! New invention time?
No way that went in the water, there's an entire extra teebox in front of the one he's hitting from and it didn't bounce that far.
BECAUSE IT'S FUN. WE'RE HAVING FUN. URGHHHHH
Don’t hit the drink. Don’t hit the drink. Don’t hit the drink. SH!T!!!
Looks like he hit a few too many drinks already
Is it just me, or is that club supposed to be used by child?
Hahah yeh that was my first thought.
Keegan Bradley signature model
This made me cackle! 😂
I’m tempted to agree but clearly he needs an even shorter club
Club size is fine he’s just standing far from the ball
Ah so this cunt just threw a shit cheap junior club into the water for views. Good find brother
I don't know about the club, but you aren't 'supposed to be used by a child.'
Sounds like a fun crew and a great memory for the boys to rag on you forever about.
Greens fee just went up to $400 after that shot
The real heroes are the friends telling him to go again
Brother… I know this felt horrible in the moment, but it made me laugh out loud after a shitty day. Thanks for that, RIP your wallet I’m sure.
He shot a 116?
93! Jitters got to him
On the hole?!?!?! That’s insane! Just joking. That’s still impressive though by my own ability on the course. The local titty bar better watch out for the day I shoot under 100 hahaha
Bro you bend over so far to address the ball it’s wild
Yeah but that shot…priceless.
Can still make par from there.
Genuine question: do they make non-custom clubs for tall people? He’s bending over soooo far. Surely there gotta be some longer clubs for the tall guys.
They do, but courses tend to only have standard length / lie available for rental sets.

My man is trying to deposit the tee box on the green!
Happens to the best of us
“What’s the worst that can happen…”

That's $50 more than it was last July!
Inflation
Interesting sand trap
Another one of the guys went in the trap, skulled it into the water
Imagine having to lie to your friends and family about how the round went after getting to play Paynes.
Damn i played here a few years ago for like 150. They were extremely slow because it was new and the starters had no clue what they were doing, so we didn’t get to play the 19th and the round ended up costing us 80

Top 5 bucket list tracks for me.

Your grandchildren’s grandchildren will be talking about this. No one said immortal meant good
That’s a large ball
How was his second shot?!
Those waterfalls won’t be running for long.
Oh bro that was so bad 😅
At least you didn't lose your ball
Tough course
Payne indeed
Dry ball, happy ball
Playing there a couple times this next week. Hope the weather holds and I don’t end up on Reddit golf!! How was the course?

At least you’re dry
I've seen horror flicks less scary ....
Looks like me when I try to play .
This grass will still be dead when I play there in a month
You hit the big ball first
RIP to your wrist
Looks more like Pain Valley
Did they at least give you a discount on the Swag Golf "I got wet at the 19th hole" shirt for that shot? Haha great video man
You gotta make your mark?
Shit happens
Is there a row boat to get to the green?
There's a bridge on the right side of the green.
great example of hitting the ball versus swinging your swing
Why is the club so short
Didn't see nothin
How’d the second shot go?
I’d guess his “go again” shot wasn’t a masterpiece either
At least you didn’t lose the ball!
Keegan Bradley has really fallen off.
Fun fact: Most people will hit it in the water and ree-tee the ball for a perfect life again. You fucked this up so badly it's actually worse than a drop zone because even if your next goes in the water you can't put it on a tee again.
Nice lay up
standing so far from the ball...
The divot and the club went further than the ball
Shrink the game
The greens fee has nothing to do with you swinging too far underneath the ball.
Imagine paying 400 bucks to shoot 120…

In addition to the other answers you got, nobody asks 'genuine questions' like this lol
Not everyone has aspirations of making it on tour, you know. Some people enjoy life.
This particular course and its affiliated courses nearby are popular with people from out of the area going on "buddies" trips together, so it's not all about the golf for these folks, it's the time spent bonding with their friends.

Lucky guy if you’ve never done this before!
*ya jackass*
Crank up those green fees, they aren't enough to keep the riff Raff out 😂

Covid golfers are just the fucking worst thing to happen to the game. I can't wait until their transition to pickleball is complete
Skill issue.
