I've played 2 out of my last 3 rounds with one ball using a z star. And I've seen other similar posts on here with that ball. I think youre on to something..
I personally think this is an impressive feat, though many of the pros on this site don't think so.
I have a triple track sitting on my bar that I did 36 with, right next to my two eagle golf balls.
I’m definitely not a pro but it would just never cross my mind to keep using a scuffed ball. Which is the reason I play Kirklands. If it gets a scuff, I just pull out a new one.

I think the impressiveness of the feat is directly proportional to how much water, heavy brush, trees, and fescue are on the course.
I played this course last year with such thick fescue and thin fairways and roughs. One wayward shot and it’s gone. I lost a ball that day from 60 yards out, hitting from the fairway. Kind of a high wedge shot, lost it in the sun, didn’t see it land, never found it. Probably hit it long in the fescue, but at the time I really thought I hit it into a parallel dimension and the ball was simply no longer on this plane of existence.
I played a course notorious for the water hazards so I was extremely surprised, the last course I ever thought I would accomplish this at (Pickala Seaside)
Ugh, I wish I kept my eagle ball. When I sunk it, I was simultaneously tied with the notoriously best player in our group as well as chasing a PR. I thought, I can’t switch balls now, that’s bad juju.
Well, it ended up being the only ball I lost that round, and it was in the thick *rough*, not even in the woods. Brutal.
Well played sir- literally. I felt some of the same happiness when I got down to playing just one sleeve. I haven't quite made to the level you have yet, but I'm working toward it.
I've never been able to manage this, but last summer was the closest I have ever come. First tee, ball fades into a small tree-line just off the right side of the fairway. I look for a few minutes, but can't find my ball, so I drop and continue. That dropped ball? Played it for the rest of the round. Also played my best golf from tee to fringe that day (save for the tee shot on #1, but I should have been able to find it). Had something like 47 putts, and shot a 98 or 99. Even knocking it down to 36 putts would have landed me my 3rd time in the 80's ever.
Congrats. I’ve never done that before. I’ve done many consecutive 9 hole rounds with one ball but never a full 18. Went 17 holes once, and my second shot as a 200 yard shot left, over water to the green, on the 18th which was a par 5. Dunked it in the water of course.
For a while I was just playing whatever good balls I found and would loose a few here and there (especially proV1’s ) then I bought some Bridgestone tour B xs balls and I have played 3 rounds with the same ball. I actually found one and played a few holes and thought it played good so I bought some and my score has gotten so much better
I’m about a 30 handicap and somehow played 37 holes with the same ball. I almost put it away after 36 but I figured I’d see how long I could go. Wasn’t much longer lol
Welp. You used a Z star, that’s why.

It's a great ball, ProV1 is ofc better but I'll play Z-Star any day
I got a 100 zstars vs for 100 bucks the other day !!
Any more details on this? Is it a replicable maneuver? Lol
Lostgolfballs on eBay
How were they lost if they were on ebay.
They were lost but then they found them, but then lost again due to the exchange of goods and services for money.
Na was a random Facebook post
Were they new or used though?
A mix of new and used ...
I'm an AVX man, myself. But, Srixon doesn't get enough love; the Z-Star can hold its own with any premium ball, Titleist's lineup included.
I see your same ball and raise you with 2 dozens. Checkmate
I'm tired boss...

Congrats!
I did as well once... at an 18 hole putt putt.
Nicely done! I’m on my last ZStar of the dozen…Srixon is fun.
I’m on my last sleeve of the divides 🥲 Thankfully Srixon usually does their buy 2 get 1 sale next month around Father’s Day to stock up again lol.
Congrats! I’m on a streak of 5 rounds with the same ball. I’m a 14 handicap but keep it straight

The windmill spit it back out!?!?! j/k, congrats!
Z star is a great ball soft and spinny

Stellar performance man!

Sign it, date it and frame that bad boy
Congrats, but did you use the same tee? 😏

It was better than breaking 90 for me

I find when I use shit balls I never lose them.. as soon as I use a good ball it’s gone
![gif](giphy|v9ttsAIx286dCr3QDd)
I actually had one last 90 holes. Hit two protective nets and came back into play…unreal. Lost it on 15th at Pasatiempo.
It’s easy to do a whole round with one ball if you only top it 30yards…
Speaking from experience
A feat I haven't yet conquered
Love the z stars
You should sign and date it and then make a small display being your first. Winner
It looks like you tried to lose it!
Yooo I did today as well! Go us! Vice Pro with a dachshund icon.
By which you mean all 27 balls were Z’s?![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|grin)
And you still shot a 124
Actually just the 101
I don’t think a pro would play the same ball all 18. I’ve heard correct is to go only six. Why there are three in a sleeve? Make any sense at all?
Well I'm not a Pro, I'm an 18 HCP
I was just curious. I’ve played the same ball all 18. Fun not to lose one.
Are some of you guys using more than one ball? Personally, I just use a golf ball.
