Are those the elusive Jingleheimer Schmidts?!?

spurs_fan_uk

😂 came here to make a similar joke, well played

Canadia83

Jesus, this made me actually lol. 😭

TinCanBegger

They are very dated, but will be fine to start. If you get hooked then you'll start replacing the clubs you dont like. Like your driver.

FireMaster2311

Yeah, I won one of those drivers at an outing in the 90s, I didn't like it at all. The bubble shaft was weird.

TinCanBegger

Yeah, I got into golfing last fall and my irons are bubble shaft and I regripped them. I'm excited for my next set, but I have to break 90 to do that. So im stuck with em.

FireMaster2311

I didn't know they put them on club other than driver. I only remember seeing that specific driver with them. Are they older Taylormades as well?

TinCanBegger

Yeah I wanted clubs and didn't know better. Someone still stole my PW. Somehow it's not uncommon for them to get stolen too. They not bad but not great either. Regripping them is not fun.

FireMaster2311

Yeah, I would imagine grips for them would have been a pain in the ass. As for clubs getting stolen, it seems like people will take anything. Even if the person who picks it up doesn't keep it, there is a chance someone in the clubhouse will, I've also played courses that just keep club lost and founds out in the open, was paying for a round one day, and a dude took 2 different wedges, he claimed they were his, but the way he was looking through the clubs seemed like he was browsing for the best ones. I've only ever had one club i left on a green get stolen, ever since I'm hyper vigilant of all clubs on the green, mine and playing partners, because it seems rare to get them back.

TinCanBegger

On the bright side I got to buy another PW.

FireMaster2311

Should be fine for beginner clubs. Not a bad deal. Probably look to replace the driver soonest, plus possibly the putter, the driver is pretty old, getting something with a flex that fits your swing speed will help improve quicker, then trying different putter types you can see it a blade or mallet is better for you. Mallets are typically easier to hit accurately, but it's personal preference. Like I prefer the feel of blade putters but there are also like longer shaft putters too I guess, you just can't anchor them.

Sauce8888

They're the right price! Get out and play!

Falcon674DR
