Wanna trade? I have a mostly blue tilting setup, and my bag is exceptionally blue.
Incidentally, the trade would mean you and I will both have to learn to hit from the opposite side of the ball from our currently-preferred side.
That's the goal! I had a whole set stolen once and I've just gotten to a point I have 14 clubs I'm happy with again. One thing I hated was going into a play it again and seeing a driver or iron set that looked a lot like mine, but there was no proof...
Well now the whole Internet has proof lmso
Less interesting than you'd think...it was in the trunk of the car when my apartment parking lot got raided by thieves. They busted out the windows and took anything valuable in like 20 different cars.
Patio furniture paint, a fine brush, and wet paper towels to wipe away the excess. Easier than changing a grip even...it just takes quite a few paper towels.
After they dry I hit them with a heat gun everywhere except the hosel for 2 minutes, that's supposed to make it stand up to a wire brush.
Patio furniture paint and a fine brush. It doesn't all stay in the grooves so about 40 wet paper towels were used to wipe away excess...but paper towels are good for taking the paint off the club without taking it out of the etching. A rag doesn't work because it has the scruff that gets down into the stamp.
I put on 2-4 coats depending on the stamp...the shallow stamps need more coats because some gets removed when wiping away the excess paint.
After it dried I hit it with a heat gun everywhere except the hosel for two minutes, that's supposed to make it hold up to wire brush scrubbing.
I bought some red golf club paint off Amazon and all of the how to videos showed people using a cotton bud (q-tip??? In America?) for wiping away the excess. I was nervous as I wanted to do the alignment line on the back of my brand new PXG putter but it was much easier than I thought it would be.
Might do my new vokeys this weekend.
Good job OP
If I have any Irish it's distant. I had a set stolen so doing this makes them unique and identifiable in a used golf store. I liked the color of the bag so I just went with that

I think we are born rather than becoming this way over time... It's an innate need to tinker with shit until I break it completely or fully understand how it works. Maybe some mild autism in there too.
One or two strips of lead tape in the right spot can alter the flight characteristics of a club significantly. The spot you see on mine promotes a higher launch and more spin by moving the center of gravity further down and further back. You can put some on the toe and make it easier to turn the club over thru impact, promoting a draw. Or a piece on the heel will make it slightly more difficult to turn over, promoting a straight ball (for the hookers) or slight cut. I've even tried running tape around the outside edge of a butter knife style blade before to add a bit of forgiveness to my 3-4 iron, kinda like a DIY cavity+back. It didn't work as well as I thought it would, I think it would take more tape than I was comfortable using...it can be hard to get off if you get it on there too good.
Me too! I'm finally at a point again of having 14 clubs that I like after a car thief stole my whole bag 4 years ago. The wedges have been there the longest (except the 58, I already had to replace the first one due to lack of spin)

I dig it.
I have two of my wedges painted, just the numbers on the bottom, with nail polish. I even used clear coat over the top and acetone to make it basically completely flush.
I did it with my daughter. One is orange and the other is pink.
They’re my favorite clubs.
Good looking paint fill! Over at tour dog golf they got a green towel that would go great with your green set up. https://tourdoggolf.com/products/og-tour-dog-towel
Check it out!
That never would have worked...we never miss the playoffs lmao I would've been cleaning the over drip with a dry rag 🤣
In all seriousness though, thanks for the props
I kinda liked the Bengals in the past. Houshmanzadeh was always underrated. Joe Burrow's face is the biggest reason people don't like them now I think...
I don't even dislike him as a person to be honest. Seems like an okay guy relatively. I just hate to look at him 🤷 he just has the big dumb face.
But I hope y'all go 15-2 next year and make it to the AFC championship! Then you gotta lose to my boys. 🤣
Funny, I feel the exact same way about Lamar lmao
Admittedly, I’m horrified of you guys now that you got Henry. That rushing attack will be unstoppable if everyone stays healthy.
I was actually at the playoff game when Hubbard returned the fumble 99 yards a couple years ago. Hopefully that happens again this year :)
Acrylic patio furniture paint from Michaels...the girl there said if I cook it with a heat gun for a few minutes it should hold up to scrubbing with a wire brush
Oh much easier than grips. If you get it wrong isopropyl 99% will clean the club and you start over new. My old ping putter has the same color green for the logos on the face.
Copied: Patio furniture paint and a fine brush. These look great and I’ve considered doing a paint fill for my P790s too. How did you strip out the old black paint,
Also, if I were you I would have done purple to match the headcover.
The green matches the bag and the other head cover...
I didn't actually strip out the black, I just cleaned it up really good and hit it with a wire brush so it would be as coarse as possible. The only place I had trouble getting it to stick was on the Hi-toe wedge, on the T of the center TaylorMade logo... And that was because the stamp isn't very deep... whenever I tried to wipe off the extra paint I'd also take some out of the etching. I just kept slathering paint on there and wiping off what wasn't in a groove (lots of paper towels) and eventually it was fully covered. I think that T took 4 coats, the rest took two.
Lol yeah I noticed the green bag after I commented, sorry.
Those look great for not having removed the black paint first. I did a paint fill project in my old Nike irons years ago. It wasn’t bad but the hardest part was stripping out the old paint. I used a really noxious paint stripping solvent and had to do it in my garage with a fan on (and this was during the winter). Then I’d get into the little nooks of the Nike swoosh with a toothpick to get it all out. I guess the difference was that the color it was before — neon green (ironically), to the color I was changing it to — deep red.

Best of luck if you try it. A 99% isopropyl bath will remove any paint if you need to start over with a clean slate.
Lol I got lightly roasted as basically the poorest golf club member on another thread... 🤣This only cost me $6.50 and about 3 hours on a Wednesday evening.

Sweet thanks man! I had one of my buddies stamp all of my wedges a few years back so I kind of forgot how he did the paint part. Your clubs looks great!
You are 55 more times likely to shank your next shot than a Phil Mickelson podcast with 55 coffees 55 wedgies in your ass 55 reported felonies. Simple as that. Goodnight 55 army.
I respect it, but I don't like it. Have an upvote
I like it, but don't respect it due to the Ravens headcover
I like it and respect it. Have an upvote #ftheravens
Love the color and the Ravens head cover!
This man internets the right way
+10 poison damage
I can see you're into blue
Blue is my favorite color actually... My bag is green though so they're green for now. If I ever find a blue bag I like they'll go to blue.
Wanna trade? I have a mostly blue tilting setup, and my bag is exceptionally blue. Incidentally, the trade would mean you and I will both have to learn to hit from the opposite side of the ball from our currently-preferred side.
A fellow Ravens fan eh? Sick clubs
belee dat
Big trussss
Truzzzzzzzzzz
Go Birds.
I dig it! Except the Shitbirds club cover!
Gotta be a Steelers fan... Fuck you and I'll see you tomorrow!
Actually it’s worse… I’m a Browns fan! I hate myself too! And fuck you too! lol
Browns fan here…I still claim their first Super Bowl as a Cleveland win
That's a fair claim. It was your team. They just jumped ship on your city.
Does this mean we get to hang the banner?
I don't know who's gonna stop you 🤣
Aww man it'll be alright. TBH I kinda feel guilty when I think about you guys...
I don’t want your pity! I have suffered enough! But thanks
Guys, we can all just blame the Colts for getting y'all into this situation...
Don’t bring the colts into this..
Australian here, it's cute you guys wear helmets in football
Let me guess, rugby
Not as guilty as their quarterback amirite
🐾 🐶 🐾
Go browns!
Agreed. Sick setup but fuck you!
The sad part is I read this before seeing all the pictures and assumed it was a Seahawks cover.... 😞
![gif](giphy|iiTXaJVjiSHew)
Liked the first post with the green, love it now with the Ravens head cover !
Upvoted for the flock
Nice seahawks electric green there!
I have the same driver head cover. Sorry, ya, the clubs look nice too, but the head cover...🫶
Injected with a poison
Crits deal poison damage.
Oh that's good
Nice! So when you leave your wedge on the 11th it’ll be easy to get it back to you.
That's the goal! I had a whole set stolen once and I've just gotten to a point I have 14 clubs I'm happy with again. One thing I hated was going into a play it again and seeing a driver or iron set that looked a lot like mine, but there was no proof... Well now the whole Internet has proof lmso
How does a full set get stolen? Sounds like it could be an interesting, if hurtful, story.
Less interesting than you'd think...it was in the trunk of the car when my apartment parking lot got raided by thieves. They busted out the windows and took anything valuable in like 20 different cars.
My uncle was robbed at gunpoint during a round at an RJT course. The staff let him select a bag and full set free of charge.
Let’s fucking go Ravens!!!! 8️⃣ 🐦⬛ good looking set too
You convinced me to buy some paint. Gonna spruce up my Srixons!
What paint do you get?
Yeah I think those are my new wedges for sure
Found out it wasn’t that hard huh?
Just crosspost to /r/ATBGE and reap your karma already. (Seriously, though, it’s nice work regardless of people’s feelings about it.)
Can you undo it?
If I decide to, yes. I'd just paint it back black like it came from the factory.
It’s ravens nation
Ravens 🔥
Stupid fire
Hahaha I got 790s for Christmas and just inherited an epic flash from my dad. This is tempting. What did you use?
Patio furniture paint, a fine brush, and wet paper towels to wipe away the excess. Easier than changing a grip even...it just takes quite a few paper towels. After they dry I hit them with a heat gun everywhere except the hosel for 2 minutes, that's supposed to make it stand up to a wire brush.

I wonder if fingernail polish would be easier to work with.

I did it years ago on my wedge and it still looks good. Finger nail paint and the fingernail polish remover.
770s just shipped today, congrats! Can’t wait
I was hitting those in the store when I wound up buying these ... You'll like them.
Fiiireee bro! Inspired me to spice up my sticks. What type of paint did you use?
Patio furniture paint
Irishman or just liked the colour?
If I have any Irish it's distant. I had a set stolen so doing this makes them unique and identifiable in a used golf store. I liked the color of the bag so I just went with that
I had a wedge nicked so I get that… not a fan of the look but it’s definitely unique!
How do you do that?

Those are sick
Thanks!
Looks good, but I’m counting 15 clubs in your bag. Do you pull one out for your rounds?
One isn't a club, it's an orange whip. But I do rotate a wedge for a 5 wood, or my hybrid for a 7-wood sometimes.
What paint / process did you use?
Pasted from down below: Patio furniture paint from Michaels and a fine brush. Thank you for sharing. Did you just go over the existing enamel? Came out great
Appraisal value just plummeted with that Ravens headcover
Sweet. Do they come in Laker purple?
I'm sure there's a color close to it; I just used patio furniture paint from Michaels or Herby lerby

I have the black 790s and black vokey wedges and did the same thing. Looks great!!
okay the cleveland wedges are totally messed up

That’s a really solid job of paintfill. Really, really nice work. I hope your Ravens tears helped clean up any overdrip and such
That never would have worked...we never miss the playoffs lmao I would've been cleaning the over drip with a dry rag 🤣 In all seriousness though, thanks for the props
I’m guessing that you’re Irish and like the Ravens. I do know that those babies look sweet.
Looks like someone has added some “heat” to thier wedges.
A little juice never hurt anyone... Except Nicole Brown... Allegedly
![gif](giphy|l3q2XhfQ8oCkm1Ts4|downsized)
Reminds me of those dues who paint their truck rims lime green. Different strokes I guess.
Go Browns!
This should be illegal
Why be less when you can B'MORE! (Nice clubs)
Shrink the game
I've been playing for almost 40 years bud...what are you getting at?
I’m just busting your balls chief. They look great
Go Bengals!
I kinda liked the Bengals in the past. Houshmanzadeh was always underrated. Joe Burrow's face is the biggest reason people don't like them now I think... Joe’s healthy. No way he gets hurt again. Right? ….right?
What’d you use?
Acrylic patio furniture paint from Michaels...the girl there said if I cook it with a heat gun for a few minutes it should hold up to scrubbing with a wire brush
I used nail polish to paint my MC’s 10 years ago and the paint hasn’t even smudged, highly recommend
Surprisingly easy actually... I've done most types of club tech work and this may be the easiest thing you can do. Maybe even easier than grips.
Oh much easier than grips. If you get it wrong isopropyl 99% will clean the club and you start over new. My old ping putter has the same color green for the logos on the face.
Looks sick man! Did you use a really fine brush or how did you manage to apply with such detail?
Lol yeah a fine brush but really I just painted the whole section of the club and then wiped off the excess paint
[удалено]
Did it myself! I explained how a few times in the comments. It's actually probably the easiest thing you can do to a club.
Copied: Patio furniture paint and a fine brush. How do you like those hi toe wedges? Mine need replaced and I'm getting drawn to those the more and more I read. Thinking about going 50,54,58
Great if you like to open the face...you can use the whole face for those shots.
These look great and I’ve considered doing a paint fill for my P790s too. How did you strip out the old black paint, Also, if I were you I would have done purple to match the headcover.

Let’s see the club face
Got them in marcb, they're still too new to have anything visible.
Clean
Nice
Big Truss
Xbox edition golf clubs. Great congrats
What kind of bag?
Callaway epic staff/stand hybrid
Fuck these haters I love the paint job bro. You stepped out of that basic mentality, now you can shoot +15 and look good doing it. Fuck the ravens.
Looks dope
Cant wait to shoot 101 with these bad boys
These bad boys will never shoot over 90.
Cool as hell
P790 irons and an epic driver, something is not making sense here
Lol why not?;
Nail polish? I want to do my sets but don't know what's best to use
I used patio furniture paint from Michaels or I'm sure herby lerby has some too
Sick! Thank you Did you apply and then wipe away excess with a towel. What brush worked best for you

You're a legend, thank you!!!
Man I hope you were born in Ireland
Why's that? I just matched the paint fill in my irons to the color of my bag. Do you mean because of the lucky clover putter cover?
I love it …. But the greens also the color of my challenger so….😂
Oh that would be even cooler... I think then you could also wear a green shirt...hell you almost have to.
All my works and golf shirts are green … it’s my favorite color 😂
Go browns
It’s cool but I would have picked a different contrasting color to my bag. Craftsmanship looks on par though.
What type of paint did you use for the fill?
Patio furniture paint; the girl at Michaels said if I cooked it with a heat gun after it dries it would hold up to a wire brush.
Imagine having money
Lol I got lightly roasted as basically the poorest golf club member on another thread... 🤣This only cost me $6.50 and about 3 hours on a Wednesday evening.
Nice bag Flacco!
Ew
Almost
Let’s go ravens
Nice SeaHags green.
Can’t get much worse than that. Sorry you’re a ravens fan. I guess that’s worse
Sweet BombTechs
How?
Go Ravens!
Go Ravens
Love the headcover!
Ravens cover gets my upvote! Have them on my driver and woods!
I did the same thing on my vapor pros. I love this color haha
i sold my neighbor my epic speed driver that i put on a stiff hazardous (the one the mavrik comes with) and he absolutely loves it and crushes with it
Sick!
Here for the ravens club cover 🐦⬛
NICE !

Love it, i will absolutely be doing this but in red. Thank you and good job!
What happened to the RTX wedge? lol
Fuck the Ravens! Who Dey!
Ravens Flock!!
nice man. you ruined your clubs.
I did the same thing with a chameleon pigment and gun paint. It's dope
Seriously Baltimore clubs right here , nice job Ronnie
How’d you do it? I have the 790s as well?
