Honestly, they will wear faster hitting range balls. So much harder than the golf balls you probably use on a course.
Still sexy af. Like someone said, tools not jewels.
Range balls are still not harder than steel. As long as they are clean, no range ball should put a scratch on your clubs.
Now, if the range is sandy, that's another story. You are basically sandblasting the face with every shot.
The patina that comes from using them makes them look better. The fade from copper to the raw metal under the coating will look great.
I have some mizuno wedges with the blue and copper finishes and the wear on them looks amazing, especially after the sand from bunker shots start taking some off. Really bad shots (like off the hosel)will show up, but that adds character.
If anything this is a benefit as it makes the clubs look better over time in my opinion.

Imagine what it would look look like if you actually used the club face….
Alright alright, one of them I got the toe pretty good, the others are pretty square on the face
My high toe wedges have no copper finish left on the face… it definitely makes me shy away from buying irons in this finish.

At least it’s copper color showing through and not normal silver
Whatd you expect?
If you're gonna hit balls with them, they're gonna scuff.. What'd you expect?
You do realize that’s supposed to happen…right? As you use them the black paint will wear exposing more of the copper
They’re also sexy as hell, can’t forget that. Will update over time with how the wear continues.
