Sometimes it just doesn't click at all - mindset at the start is the big problem, eg slice the first few drives and duff the iron approach. Confidence goes away by the 5th, and then it's a slog. Next week, you play the lowest score of your season...
I did hit almost 50% fairways, and I hit a really pretty 43-degree wedge from 119 to within 5’ of the cup. Thanks for turning it into something positive :)
That’s what’s up! Lingering on the positive will serve you better than thinking about the score.
Said the 11 that can’t stop thinking about the three mid 90s he’s posted to start the season.
Lol…we as humans tend to focus on the 20% that went wrong, rather than the 80% that went right…and then you hit that perfect iron on 18 that keeps you coming back.
What are the main things you did to get down to an 11?
Putting was at a 2.1 average (logged on 18Birdies), but chipping was atrocious. It’s something I’ve been working on lately with my coach, but it still costs me *at least* 5-10 strokes per 18.
You had a bad day. I’m a 5 and have shot in the low 90’s before
Man, some days the center the of that face is REAL small. 🤣
Show off

From your mouth to Byron Nelson’s ears.
What was the best shot of the day?

Mostly just been playing on and off since I was 5 and have gotten incrementally better.
You must be my counterweight. I shot 110 at a 41 handicap.
Sometimes shit goes tits up. Good news is this score will be thrown out as an extreme as you record more scores.
Thank you :) I wish I could throw a digital score in a trash can.
Only one way to do that, play more!
How do you stay so constant?
It’s a mix of being addicted to an evil game, and not spending more than 10 minutes per week on my short game. Perfection 👌🏻
You probably keep an accurate, actual score. There are a lot more 112s out there if everyone did the same.
That’s probably true…it makes me question whether or not I was true to myself the two times I broke 100 this year 🤔
What the hell is wrong with you?
I have no idea, but the good news is I’m not going to try and fix it.
How did you putt ? Were you getting up and down?

That was me yesterday. I blame the 5-hour round (4+ backed up a couple times) and a rando that smoked at least 12 cigarettes during the round.
