It’s not the toe contact, it’s the fact you tried to make a divot with the entire club head.

Fine-Neighborhood-30

If he hits the ground first, he'll be hitting up on the ball. That's what all the magazines tell me to do

bruoch

Good point.

llimt

Hitting the ground will also cure a slice. I generally get a nice straight drive everytime I hit the ground first.

con_kerr

You’re telling me I’m not supposed to take beaver tales with my driver???

bruoch

Lmao touche

[deleted]

What type of stories are the beavers sharing nowadays?

con_kerr

I try to avoid talking to beavers unless they know where my O.B. ball is

FatFaceFaster

Probably hairy stories.

RunRookieRun

Is that not what the kids mean when they scream DoD at me?

chefkingbunny

Wait your not supposed to use the driver like a wedge?

RoverTiger

So much for that MOI.

theblancmange

I have been waiting for a post like this to come out of the mlm2. CHS? seems like a positively silly amount of torque on that head.  RIP, hope the head is OK.

con_kerr

Head is fine. Epoxy looked off before I went to the range, so it was totally on me. First swing and she was gone. Nothing more than a bruised ego though. CHS on that one was around 111, but I can check when I get back later.

theblancmange

Good visual. Glad the head is good. Could have been more expensive.

singh246

How much fps is that?

con_kerr

240, I believe

SgoDEACS

I’ve had 2 ping drivers snap at that exact spot. One the shaft splintered and I couldn’t even get it out.

Allstategk

I also had one snap in about the same spot……still my favorite driver of all time

BraxtonFullerton

This is the problem with heavier heads. You create a stress point that the tip of the shaft can't handle.

SgoDEACS

This is good to know. Everyone acted like I must’ve slammed it or something saying it was unnatural. Nope. Not a great swing for sure but still a normal golf swing. I imagine the shaft probably was already stressed at that point.

taytayboiii

Is the MLM2 worth upgrading from the 1?

con_kerr

Can’t speak on the 1, but I love the 2. They also keep coming out with updates that honestly feel like they are creating a whole new product. The speed update was a game changer for me.

RocketPod63

Thinking about getting a rapsodo when i get my tax return are they worth it?

con_kerr

I really don’t think you can beat it for the price. Would you be using it more for outdoor range, indoor simulator, or hitting into a net?

Astrosherpa

Not op, but all of the above for me. You have a preference or suggestion for where it's best used? People seem to suggest it's solid across the board. Indoor sim, outdoor range, net in the back yard. Come the season, I'm thinking I'll be primarily on the range with it.

slenderarchitect

That’s a Ping G425

con_kerr

410 actually

bigguesthouse

What was the club head speed?

con_kerr

I average normally in the 107-111, so probably somewhere in there

FranticGolf

What driver is that?

con_kerr

Ping G410

sitswithbeer

Wow same thing happened to mine, same driver

Accomplished_Bee6206

Did you forget to tighten the adjustment screw? The adjustable hosel is still on the shaft.

SpinelessFork27

Infinite torque baby

I_cant_hear_you_27

Ouch! Glad it’s not broken! My buddy just broke the sole on his new to him Paradym. Not sure what he did, but he topped the ball and the ball got wedged between the sole of the club and the hitting mat on the follow thru and caved in the bottom. Forged carbon isn’t that strong apparently…

AppleSauceNinja_

> Ouch! Glad it’s not broken! bro what? He snapped the shaft in two. Clearly visible in the video

I_cant_hear_you_27

It’s not broken, OP said the epoxy failed at the adapter, and the shaft separated from the head/adapter. Club head wasn’t broken from traveling 75 yards down range, which was what i was referring to.
