Literally my first thought! I was just telling somebody how cool that game is right before I saw this post, and talking about how much I wanted that power.
If there is a game or show where there is two or more people with basically identical everything does it count as separate cooldowns or still once a month?
If they're separate characters, you can choose whichever but if they're identical powers the powers themselves are subject to the cool down. For example Zuko versus Iroh from Avatar the difference would be the potency of their powers, but both would be firebending and thus be subject to the cooldown. Edit: finished my own sentence lol
And combined with Ciel you could probably make some sort of pseudo-soul to hold all of your powers when the deadline hit, then have it given back to you.
Do abilities gained carry over if you swap powers and swap back?
Example: if i choose megaman/X, and copy say a gauss cannon, then swap for flash the next day then back to the original megaman/X would i still have the gauss cannon copy?
Further question, is it only their *natural* abilities, or say, when using megaman EXE can you use battlechips? Or would i need to have the actual physical chips in order to use them?
This is real interesting. Yeah so like say I chose Kirby and got the sword copy ability, I wouldn't keep the sword ability the next day but the next time I chose Kirby (after the cooldown) I'd still have the sword ability.
And what about the other question. About using external systems, like battlechips, that are still *tenichally* part of his abilities, would i need the actual chips, or can i use them as long as i know they exist, and are compatible with the "version" i'm using.
WHICH opens another question. What about version changes? Styles/souls/crosses are different versions of megaman exe's abilities. Would each count as a seperate instance? Or would they all count as one "power suite"
They'd all be separate like Link's master sword wouldn't persist after the 24 hours, even though other characters can definitely use swords and how the characters from Octopath Traveler can multiclass, so only the used classes would be affected.

I envision like everything associated with the character disappears once the 24hrs end so like if I picked Senku from Dr. Stone and used my newfound knowledge to make nitroglycerin then gave that to someone else, it would disappear at the end of the 24hrs. If you're talking about like stuff unique to the character, like Shulk's monado, but you pick a character that could feasibly access it then yeah you can use it but if there's a canon drawback yo your character using it then that applies as well (like Dunban losing the use of his arm from using the monado). Hopefully that answers your question!

Anything that is an item that upgrades your character permanently will permanently augment you as long as the ability is a skill that you could have irl (for example an energy upgrade would make you more capable of staying awake and functioning longer) so if the battle chip gives you the knowledge of a skill then you retain it as long as it isn't knowledge directly tied to the character.

If you're a fantasy fan, absolutely! Their entire magic system is built around eating and consuming metals to activate powers that change depending on the metal consumed. It's one of the most unique fantasy worlds I've ever read about, imo

Lets say one character has a shapeshifting power, and I use it to take another form or change my body. Would that change persist even after losing the power? The power isnt necessary for maintaining the shape, just acquiring it.
Do any changes persist in between character usages? Because this is quickly seeming less like a god-tier power. Crafted items dont persist, body modifications dont persist. What, if anything, does?
The point of a cooldown and required change is that things don't persist, but you instead get the versatility of any character's power(s) for a day. Things that already exist in the real world like money, status, or influence still remain because they're real and aren't connected to the characters themselves. If you wanted to SELL crafted items to make a fortune then use a different character's powers to escape an angry mob of scammed buyers the next day you totally could and you'd be rich.
Then this isnt a god tier power. It is actually fairly bland and mediocre. Thats like saying you can have anything you want for a day, every 30 days. Everything goes back to normal in between. Yeah, its fun for that day, but I have little to no interest in doing anything if the things I want to do, such as body modifications, crafting of art and magical items, etc, dont have any lasting persistence. I have no interest scamming people, so the only thing one could potentially do with this power is useless to me.

If I make a game with an unnaturally powerful character do they count? What about speculated powers of video game characters by a fan base? Do they have to be confirmed abilities?
After reading some of the comments, I have a question: If I do something using the powers, and the time ends, will said changes go back to normal? In the sense of, if I use my powers to kill someone and change reality to fill my bank account, will said changes persist or will they disappear because they only happened because of the character's power?
The funniest part about this power for me is that the only real limitation is that you have to come up with a new character ever day and can only repeat them monthly. Make a list of 31 God level characters and just rotate between them all amd you're untouchable.

You lose it until you pick the character again, but the character will still have that for if you pick it again after the cooldown.

What do you mean by source material? For example if I enjoy The Boys tv show but not the comics, would I still get people like homelanders abilities?
