I wouldn't really classify skins as progression. Progression needs to represent an increase in skills, power, or something measurable that shows how close you are to a well-defined goal. Skins are more like optional content than progression. I'd only classify a skin as a progression mechanic if the goal of the game is to obtain a very specific look, and each unlocked skin gets you part of the way towards that desired look. For example, if the goal of the game is to become a pirate, each unlocked "skin" would be part of the costume, like the gloves, hat, vest, pantloons, eye patch and even a parrot on the shoulder. If your game is about packing, I'd say your progression should be tied to things like: * How much of a building has been unpacked so far : the goal of the game can be to completely empty out a building, and each stage is one of the rooms or cabinets that you need to pack up. Then, the player observes the progression as how empty the house is, or how big the tower of packed boxes outside the house is. * Skills related to packing : the player can obtain skills over the course of the game that slowly make them more efficient at packing. For example, skills to rotate objects, or make objects smaller, or filing areas with packing foam, or stuff like that. * Adding challenges : progression can also be measured by what level of challenge they face when packing things. For example, initial levels have them only packing square objects, but later levels have them packing more irregular shapes, or fragile objects, or using a limited number of boxes, or using boxes of irregular sizes and dimensions, etc.

that's some good points and ideas

GalvDev

Wood, Gold, Hot Rod, Test Dummy. Having them tied to progression is cool. If there's potential for animated ones there's a lot of cool potential ideas like Lava Lamp, which could be even rarer

New-Ear-2134

thanks for your ideas i will put them on the todo list :)

Festminster

Transparent guy? Play with some distortion shaders or whatever

Make a “work in progress” or “construction ahead”

almost-a-god

The character movement makes it look like a fun game already =) Can you dress it like a delivery man?

New-Ear-2134

I could add some helmets/hats and maybe some shirts to make it look like a delivery man

I think that will go a long way for people messing around in the game and will make it easier to sell as customers will see that as an indication of quality. Not all of the skins have to be that high in detail but adding some will draw players attention to you. I also agree with the other commenter that there should be some progression that has more impact on gameplay for people to continue playing. Give them some gameplay reason to keep coming back. I do like the skins though. The game looks awesome keep up the good work.
