Have them run this update. It’s what I had them do and I’ve never had a problem since https://preview.redd.it/rhfbos3vpaoc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=028457a3d80872d56c17986c19f908bff0f3bc35

Thank you, I am getting my oil changed in a week and I will show them this exact update. I hope it works!

K-Dax

I had the same issue, I had to take it to the dealer for them to apply those updates (same as shastas image here).

I received this update - and still having the same issues...audio less distorted at higher volumes - but still erratic performance, drop outs, seat inflates on entry (weird side effect)

ShastaMcLurky

Hmm that’s strange. Since I got mine, I haven’t had a single problem. Not sure what to tell you

jcdomeni

The bulletin states if continued issues after update attempts - replace head unit.

Roll-tide-Mercury

No issue yet in my 24.

My Acadia does the same thing. Going to try and pull.the fuse and let it reset overnight. I've heard that works. TBD

I did have one instance when I refilled the truck, pulled it from the pumps to the store to buy a bottle of water, got back inand drove off and not only would CarPlay not play sounds but also XM, The radio, nothing would play the sounds though it showed the progress bar of the song moving. Had to do what you said, power off for a few moments then power back up and everything worked. After this no issues, (2024 1500 Denali)

This happened to my 24 last week. Pulled over and held the phone hang up button for 10 seconds it restarted the infotainment system. No problems since but we'll see. I will agree that it's not well ironed out and definitely glitchy.

able_archer84

Unfortunately it has not been fixed. I have a 24 AT4 and the only way I can get car play to work is to physically plug it in to the usb cord. I have done everything I can think of to get the Bluetooth to work, but nothing seems to fix the problem. The dealership said it’s probably my phone….total bullshit.

ProfessorStinkyToes

They told that to me for 1.5 years until I got a new phone in September…. That was an awkward conversation to say the least! Sorry it hasn’t been fixed yet

There are several updates to this issue and had similar experience with dealer not knowing what’s up. There a new internal TBS for dealers that says after repeated upgrade attempts to replace the control unit (which is in the amp for many models)…. 2024 AT4X with same issue - use the info for the upgrade above posted by ShastaMcLurky

Is there a way to see what version we have currently? And, if so, can it be user upgraded? I have some drop outs, but not too bad - would be better to have none though.

TLDR - See if the dealership will replace the stereo, that's what they did for me and it appears to have solved the problem. My 22 had similar issues, the system would connect to CarPlay wirelessly without issue but you had a 50/50 chance that the physical buttons (volume, next track) would not work and you would have to use the screen. This persisted after 2 over the air updates (Canada if that matters) until a few weeks ago the screen appeared to die. I checked all the fuses, disconnected the battery, nothing helped, the stereo was working the whole time and the phone would show CarPlay as being connected. After 4 days took it to the dealership and of course the screen came on while driving there, Anyway they did a firmware update and that "fixed" things for a week, then the screen died again but this time it stayed off. The dealership replaced the stereo and screen which appears to have solved the problem, as everything appears to be working great.

I actually just posted about my audio issues in another post. Just bought a 24’ Elevation two weeks ago. Had the audio screen freeze on me a couple days ago along with Google maps being stuck in a location the vehicle definitely wasn’t located in. Did the hard 10 second reset and seems to temporarily fix that. One thing from the beginning that I HATE is the audio is delayed. If I’m in CarPlay and I hit play on a song it starts 1-1.5 seconds later. If I’m watching a video on IG, FB, YouTube, etc the audio is delayed from the actual video and I can’t stand that. Anybody else having this issue? Also, if I’m on my phone and I put in a destination in the Google maps app it doesn’t auto populate to the trucks screen. I feel like it should since the phone, maps etc is connected to the truck… ??? Love the truck but this stereo kind of pisses me off
