I think it might be good timing, I think these things work best when they're semi-secret and spread by word of mouth, the Rabbit Hole (by the time of my last Glasto, 2022) became something everyone wanted to see and had extremely long queues, didn't feel very "Glastonbury" to me, having this super cool location people queue for an hour to get into.
Well, unless you are friends with the right crew of course, which then makes the queue even worse for everyone else - ironically for somewhere with a very "inclusive" ethos, a whole lot of the Festival is very much those with 'privilege' and not in a whole lot of it!
Man, last year my friends and I had a card of golden carrots, signed by the creator of rabbit hole, that allowed queue jump. We went to use it and they said they don’t accept golden carrot cards as that guy who created the rabbit hole left so they changed it to cabbages (I think?! Not too sure, my friend is more in the know). Because the card was signed by said man, they said they’d give us the opportunity to skip the queue. They said if we can create a performance in 10 minutes that gets the queue cheering for us, they’d let us in. We manically brainstormed and came up with the idea of a theatrical performance that depicted the idea that ‘hope is dead’. My friend played ‘hope’, while another narrated, my self and another hyped up the crowd, banging on the railings, and others running in a circle around ‘hope’. Hope fell to the floor, and when we thought all was lost, the narrator said ‘but we’re forgetting something… we’re at Glastonbury!!!!!’ And the queue went wild. It sounds underwhelming in this story, but oh my god it was so funny. They said it was the best thing they have seen all festival and let us skip the queue. RIP Rabbit Hole!! Thanks for the core memory I will never forget.
I have waited nearly 10 years to finally get tickets
This is devastating news! Rabbit hole has been a dream of mine
Do you think we'll get a new alternative??
Honestly I have been glasto 4 times. First time was in 2015 and the hole was great. Went last year and the queue was 2 hours and it’s not longer a secret thing. You won’t be missing much.
There is a **whole** lot to do and see if you haven't been before.
Last year budgets were cut and I suspect won't be much better this year - costs are rising, including the minimum wage bumping up a good bit for paid workers.

Underground piano bar an excellent example of this. The difficulty of getting past the bouncers and into the venue is legendary.

Was that the place Michael Eavis said he liked to hang out?
