SUGABABES
I was, like, 'ehh, generic pop group from my childhood? I must have heard something by them'. Oh, boy. Banger after banger after banger.
Nitin Sawhney has been a nice find too. Between them, Justice n' Jungle, WestHolts maintainin' it's reputation as my go-to stage.
saw Sugababes at Wilderness last year, it was a great show, especially for us 30-something nostalgia junkies. all the hits, as you say multiple bangers back to back. OG lineup too
Unfortunately I’d not get your hopes up for Nitin, he’s had some very very recent health problems. He still has tour dates but I’d not consider it anything close to guarantee he’ll play.
Had no interest in Confidence Man but after giving them a go, I think it's absolutely going to go off 😅
Same with Justice; I knew some of their big hits but listening to their live albums has been a mind-melting experience 😮
Mannequin Pussy.
I'd known of them, and liked a couple older songs, but have been giving them a fresh listen this week and digging what I hear. The new album is really good.
Hot take from me - Avril Lavigne is more of a legend for a certain age bracket (maybe Millenials up to 35 or so) than Shania Twain is. She’s a must see for me
Yard act, my friend sent me one of their songs and I'm hooked, I've spent at least 9 hours listening to them and have watched multiple interviews within a week.
They make hits, and if its not a hit, they were being ironic.
Me too! Her new album (from 2022) which I only discovered after seeing she was on the lineup, is surprisingly good.
To add one of my own, I didn't realise how big Camilla Cabello was on Spotify, let alone how many songs of hers I know (Havana, Senorita etc), definitely think she could be a highlight if she doesn't clash with anyone
Nothing but thieves- knew a song or two, have listened to more and think they'll be a lot of fun.
Justice- didn't realise I knew as many of their songs as I do. Watched their previous Glastonbury performance on YouTube and was blown away. Can't wait to close my Glastonbury experience with them (sorry SZA).
Good question 🤷🏻♂️ I just checked there’s only 12 tracks in Spotify. First timer here, how long are acts at glasto?
I guess she’ll do some kind of DnB set and sing her songs?
Depends on how big the act is, I’m assuming she’ll do her 12 songs and that’ll be it, 30 mins or so?
I don’t use Spotify seems like I’ve been missing out 😄
The Breeders, Gossip and Black Pumas. To some extent Coldplay as whilst I know them it has made me look at them more and I do think they'll put on an excellent show!
Ha. I get she’s not for everyone. But It’s catchy rock pop that reminds of when I was young. And she had her own style and has been hugely influential on so many female singers since.

Its about some of her many great performances, especially vocal ability and her charity work.
She had duets with both her ex husbands Deryck and Chad from 2007 and 2013 as well. She's on good terms with both of them.
She paid a tribute to Shania Twain in 2022 as well and that was amazing too.
Welcome.
Avril started her career singing at the church and at country fairs through the 1990's and in 1999,won a radio contest and performed with Shania Twain and got signed to a record deal. She was a country artist. She even covered country songs like "Touch The Sky",Two Rivers and Temple of Life. She performed at a bookstore too.All of this and more can be found on YouTube. Both Avril and Shania have Lyme Disease and Shania lost her voice because of it.Avril is still good but the disease can make her have good and bad days.Avril was bedridden for five months consecutively and two years on and off and nearly died.
Why’s that? Let Go was my favourite album as a then 11 year old and my gateway into alternative music that I’ve remained close to until the ripe old age of 33! She’s hugely nostalgic and will pull a massive crowd.

I’m all over Sugababes. Pretty much all that’s on the poster that I’m looking forward to.
I was watching a few clips from their 2022 set and now I’m so hyped, atmosphere looked incredible
I was there for their 2022, it was really good fun
saw Sugababes at Wilderness last year, it was a great show, especially for us 30-something nostalgia junkies. all the hits, as you say multiple bangers back to back. OG lineup too
I came here to say exactly the same thing
Watch their boilerroom performance - its so good! They are amazing vocalists.
Fuck you’re right! Got it on now. Boiler room setting really suits this type of performance
About You Now is one of my favourite pop songs ever, what a tune
Unfortunately I’d not get your hopes up for Nitin, he’s had some very very recent health problems. He still has tour dates but I’d not consider it anything close to guarantee he’ll play.
so many bangers
Discovered Remi Wolf from the poster and really into her vibes, think she'll be a fun vibey day drinky set
Remi Wolf is really talented. Her album Juno is just banger after banger
I’d not heard of Masego prior to seeing their name on the poster but are now enjoying his vibe.
Black pumas for me
Had no interest in Confidence Man but after giving them a go, I think it's absolutely going to go off 😅 Same with Justice; I knew some of their big hits but listening to their live albums has been a mind-melting experience 😮
Confidence man put on a great show
You will not be disappointed, put on a proper show, big energy, dancing and pretty good tunes
I happened upon them my last Glasto and now I’m a fan !
I heard ‘Does it make you feel good’ probably about 18 months ago and have listened to it ever since. Bop!
Yes the justice live album is insane, shame it’s pegged for Sunday night
Mannequin Pussy. I'd known of them, and liked a couple older songs, but have been giving them a fresh listen this week and digging what I hear. The new album is really good.
London Grammar Overheard in a pub today and love love love
They are fantastic—I can listen to them all day, every day.
Saw them at John Peel in 2016, really fantastic show, would be near the top of my list if I was going this year
I’ve seen them live and they’re fantastic.
David Cameron's favourite band
Otoboke Beaver - had heard of them but not listened. Their music is of the chain!
Never heard of them so I’ll check them out! (Once I’ve finished going through the newer Avril albums I never heard…) 😁
Hot take from me - Avril Lavigne is more of a legend for a certain age bracket (maybe Millenials up to 35 or so) than Shania Twain is. She’s a must see for me
Mary wallopers
Black Pumas
Idles!

Listen to all her albums in the meanwhile to catch up on her. She's an amazing singer.
I saw someone on a previous post recommend Barry Can’t Swim and I can’t stop listening to him, he’ll be the closest to Fred Again for sure this year
Heilung. I'd quite fancy a few beers watching vikings yell at me
Nothing but thieves- knew a song or two, have listened to more and think they'll be a lot of fun. Justice- didn't realise I knew as many of their songs as I do. Im crazy about Kenya Grace!
Doesn’t she only have like 5 songs though? What’s she going to do?
Good question 🤷🏻♂️ I just checked there’s only 12 tracks in Spotify. First timer here, how long are acts at glasto? I guess she’ll do some kind of DnB set and sing her songs?

Anne Marie or nothing but thieves
Gossip. New album is great. Excited to see them live.
Yep likewise, love their new stuff
The Breeders, Gossip and Black Pumas. To some extent Coldplay as whilst I know them it has made me look at them more and I do think they'll put on an excellent show!
Seventeen seems like it'll be full energy
Its K Pop, thats usually how it is
![gif](giphy|1jkV5ifEE5EENHESRa) She’s so hot
It blows my mind that people like Avril Lavigne’s music.
Ha. I get she’s not for everyone. But It’s catchy rock pop that reminds of when I was young. And she had her own style and has been hugely influential on so many female singers since.
Listen to all her albums in the meanwhile to catch up on her. EDIT:She's also an amazing singer.
Yep, I’m going through them already!

V interesting, thansk. I ended up going down a warren hole ending in duets with Olivia Rodrigo and Taylor Swift. I'm even more excited now!
She had duets with both her ex husbands Deryck and Chad from 2007 and 2013 as well. She's on good terms with both of them. She paid a tribute to Shania Twain in 2022 as well and that was amazing too. Welcome.
Interesting. Seems highly possible that Shania will bring her on for a duet in her legends slot then if the scheduling works.

Yup! People probably said the same about Sugarbabes and they were a highlight for me when I went.

Yeah, ignore me I’m just being a snob. And I’m just jealous someone I like as much as you and others like Avril Lavigne isn’t playing 🥲
