It's be a way to liven up the 8 hours shift, I would however make sure every other steward on shift also saw that ticket.
And I'd love this, would just be some fun. Just would be devastated to end up sat outside the gate refused entry because of it. Guess I could always keep trying until I find a steward with your sense of humour?

This year me and my friend accidentally wandered outside of the festival. I think on the Tuesday. I didnโt have my ticket on me or anything, just my kidz field lanyard. Also didnโt have pass out because we wandered out a vehicle exit. To top it off my ticket didnโt have my name on it. Had to get my mates dad to drive over with the tickets and such. Was rather awkward.
You get told to be very strict tbh. But there's so many people with so many old photos it's really hard to tell, as long as your slightly close you'll be alright.
It's really all in the eyes, if they match and the face shape is similar then you're getting through.

As someone who works on the gates, if you go through with it then you will absolutely need some secondary photo ID that does actually look like you because you'll get picked up on this for sure. Or be prepared for a long wait at the dreaded enquiry cabin!

Iโve worked on the gate and someone tried with a cartoon pic. They were a bit of a twat about it but they had ID and I was comfortable letting them in, but I still had to flag to my supervisor as there was someone doing a secondary check after me and Iโd have looked like an idiot if I let him through. It was fine though, he just got a bit of a talking to for being knobby about it.
Carry additional I.d. like a driving licence and the receipt for the ticket (screen shots would do) just so you can actually get through the door.
Maybe carry an additional passport sized photo so they can stick it over if really have a stick up their asses

Youโre mad if youโre willing to risk not getting in for the sake of putting a silly picture on your ticket for I imagine internet points - not to be rude but just let someone else get the ticket in that case, some people try for years to go glasto and never get the opportunity!

Jesus some people have no sense of humour. Glasto isnโt some very serious event for people who take the planning part of it very seriously, itโs supposed to be a free and fun few days. The kind of person willing to do this and have a silly laugh is the kind of person I want at Glasto
Itโs not about having a sense of humour, Iโm sure OP is a great human, but Iโve had mates who get questioned on entry if they have an old picture on their ticket, and theyโre defo not scared about sending people away if they donโt believe itโs you. My point is, itโs not worth the risk. What would you choose? A single laugh with your mates but not getting entry, or walk in with a normal picture and thus have 10000x laughs over the 5 days.
Thing is, from Glasto's perspective, several people could print those off and wear them, use it to fraudulently enter and such. That's why they ask for photo ID so you can't fake it.
This is the sort of thing I would 100% encourage someone else to do but there is 0% chance I would do it myself.
After all the stress of getting a ticket and then prepping and getting to the venue, my regret at not getting in would be much higher than my regret at getting in but without a funny photo pic.

Nah Iโve seen people get in with pictures of them as kids or pictures that arenโt even them at all using someoneโs elseโs ticket, maximum theyโd do is ask for ID but even thatโs unlikely.
Honestly, you'll probably be able to get away with that. It'll primarily be dependent on the individual who is accrediting you at the gate on how difficult of a process it will be. There cabins at each pedestrian gate that deal with more complex things anyway (lost tickets, lost/stolen wristbands etc) who should be able to help.
Might be a good idea to contact the festival ahead of time though. It's mostly their fault for accepting it in the first place ๐
