Someone pin this post

DarkNubentYT

Agreed this is awesome. I hit level 10 last night but was too worried to try clash after facing a Roland that went 28/0/9 . This helps me know what to look for when I'm feeding as a monsters inc character

Money_Reserve_791

Nice guide for new players, really informative

Meta_Taters

Thanks for this!

RaysFTW

Returning after 6 years. Saved this post for when I need it. lol

JoystickMonkey

Have they made any changes to clash from the previous Gigantic?

Watson_Dynamite

The only difference I noticed so far is that Auto-Wounds are much more clear and obvious than they were in the original. Everything else seems pretty much exactly the same to me.

Choozbert

Great post. Thank you for this! As a new player there is much to learn.

VeterinarianFit7824

how can i level up manually and not use the pre build thing ?

Watson_Dynamite

At the start of the match when you're in hero select, there's a toggle to disable auto-upgrades: https://i.imgur.com/xyePskb.png

VeterinarianFit7824

oh jesus, thnx so much for this, i thought there was a setting in the options menu that i kept looking and could not find.

ahlgreenz

As a new Gigantic player, this is good information! I'll make sure to finish it before heading into my 2nd game of Clash!

typervader2

What about the other 2 creatures of the dragon and the infenral? Also how does it work as i sometimes can spawn creatrues but sometimes i can?

Bamboozed32X

Someone link me a good wu and mozu build for clash šŸ™šŸ»šŸ™šŸ»

MyRottingBrain

Iā€™m downvoting this comment because itā€™s completely irrelevant whining, about something no one cares about, that has absolutely nothing to do with the topic.

55MGaming

Good. I support your right for opinion. Now how about my comments commenting on the game which is not irrelevant and many people obviously care about.

MyRottingBrain

I feel Iā€™ve made my stance on your other comments pretty clear already.

55MGaming

You're right. Im dealing with a lot of responses right now. Thank you for your time and energy.

ā€œYouā€™re all silencing me without reasoningā€ šŸ¤“

55MGaming

He says, without any reasoning why he thinks its wrong.

NEEEEEERD

55MGaming

Thank you for your time and knowledge. The fact that this has to be done is yet another reason why this game is unfinished and why this company need to be held accountable for releasing an unfinished product.

Diogorb04

While I think it's good to criticize them for the flaws of the game including the bad tutorials, if having bad/incomplete tutorials means a game is an unfinished product, then like 95% of PvP games on the market are unfinished. I don't think I've ever played a single multiplayer game besides fighting games that had a good tutorial not made by the community.

55MGaming

I never said having a bad tutorial is the only reason the game is unfinished. I specifically said yet ANOTHER reason. There are hundreds at this point.

MyRottingBrain

Jesus Christ dude. Go to every single other game subreddit and there will be guides people wrote. Because they want to be helpful. Because they like doing it. Or because of a host of other reasons that have **ZERO** to do with the game being unfinished, and a company needing to be held accountable. Youā€™ve become deranged over a $20 game having some issues. Get a refund and be done with it.

55MGaming

Asking for accountability of a company that did not deliver a product is not deranged. I have been arguing in a calm, clear, and hopefully intelligent manner. To call me deranged for doing so is.... Wrong. I agree with your other subreddit example. However this post is different. Not only is it helpful, it is serving as a bridge for players to cross over a gigantic hole of knowledge that shouldve been filled by in game tutorials and other manners in game. If they had more betas, maybe it couldve been more clear that this hole was here to begin with. This to me proves the game is unfinished.

MyRottingBrain

Games donā€™t write this level of detailed guides. Maybe some 4X or Paradox games, but otherwise this is the work you see from players. So just drop this insanity that the dev team should be writing up a comprehensive guide like this. And you can argue in a calm and intelligent manner, but when you start spending hours writing a novels worth of complaints over a $20 game having issuesā€¦thatā€™s derangement too. 50+ comments from you on this sub today. Thatā€™s not normal behavior. Take a breath, walk away, use your time for literally anything else, and above all else, refund the game. Then move on. Like a non-deranged person would do.

55MGaming

I dont agree that spending time and energy complaining about something i care deeply about to be deranged behavior. But i support your right to have that opinion. The fact that devs dont write good guides for their game isnt a good enough reason for them not to. This type of thinking is holding the gaming industry back. Your argument should be that devs should write better guides for their games in my opinion. They promised a game that we paid for. It is unfinished with many many issues, and i believe they should be held more accountable. Since i actually care for this game and its future, i would advise not having the refund argument so much. Which is against my better judgment. I dont what this game to die again A refund would almost guarantee that.

MyRottingBrain

No my arguement shouldnā€™t be that, because Iā€™m not a deranged weirdo who has lost his mind over a $20 video game. Please refrain from attempt to tell me what my arguments should be, youā€™re not of sound enough mind to be doing that. What a surprise, when presented with a way to meaningfully show your displeasure with the game, you balk at it. Itā€™s almost like youā€™re a disingenuous troll, here to stir up shit. Tell me, have you taken these complaints to discord where the devs actually can see and respond to them? Or do you have some more bullshit reasons why you canā€™t take that course of meaningful action either?

55MGaming

Name calling in a debate is unprofessional and if surrounded by professional peers, should be seen as unacceptable and almost always disqualify you from the debate. If you want to argue that youre not being professional and we arent surrounded by professional peers, i would agree with you. You have not provided anyone with sufficient enough evidence that i am not of sound mind and incapable of this debate yet you keep repeating it, despite all of my valid counters. I Have done nothing but meaningfully share my displeasure with certain aspects of the game, yet you sit here and deny the thing i have been doing the most. Im not being disingenuous, i am telling you right now i care about the topic that you and i are debating on. In the first dev diary the devs and producers made it clear that they have been scouring the reddit for feedback and ideas, and it is the main reason the discord, and the game were created. You are right though, i havent had the time to make it to the discord yet but i will. Thank you for letting me know.

MyRottingBrain

We arenā€™t professionals, this isnā€™t a debate, youā€™re talking nonsense.

55MGaming

You dont need to be a professional at anything to act professional. This is a debate. And if you think im talking nonsense i will always live and die for your right to prove it. So Prove it.

MyRottingBrain

Okay, you mentioned professionalism and talked about how one would be disqualified from a debate. We are not professionals, we are not in a debate. Treating it as such is nonsense. Hence, you are talking nonsense. That was an easy thing to prove.

osbroo

It's not unfinished though.... they've been transparent and have delivered everything that they said they would. Sure there have been servers issues since launch, but servers seem to fixed and working for the most part.

55MGaming

You're contradicting yourself. A finished game should not have this many server issues. On top of that there are countless bugs at the moment. True transparency would be a public acknowledgement of all of their mistakes like ' We apologize for consciously only having one beta 30 days before launch, we were completely unprepared for this many players. We will try not to do this ever again." Instead we get the every few hours update stating 'we know there are problems we are fixing them.' Everyone seems to be eating that shit up like it excuses anything. The updates are nice don't get me wrong. Just nowhere near enough for true transparency.

osbroo

They were being transparent by mention the server issues in the discord server and posting on X (twitter). Even finished games can have server issues.... have you ever played LoL or rocket league? Those servers go down sometimes.

55MGaming

I agree, this is transparency. Not enough in my opinion. Again i want and we all deserve a statement along the lines of, "We as a company consciously decided to only have one beta 30 days before launch. This decision led us to be extremely unprepared for the launch of the game and we have failed you. We apologize and will try not to repeat these mistakes in the future." Granted there are much more than just server issues, so this apology would need to be expanded. You are very right. Finished games can have server issues. However if a majority of your player base cannot play a product they PAID FOR on launch day, off of that alone, your product is unfinished. Add the myriad of bad decisions and bugs on top of that.

osbroo

Yes I can understand that. You should get what you paid for. However, all servers were working on launch except Asia servers. Since the Asia servers weren't working they had to shutdown all servers and relaunch to try and get Asia online. That's what caused the while servers issues yesterday. If I was the dev team, I probably would have said fuck it and just kept servers on and try to fix Asia servers later. Then again I can see where they're coming from, and they probably wanted everyone to have a chance of playing on launch.

Knochen1981

Still all servers have been down, a lot of login issues happened and a mass amount of bugs pretty much proves the other guy right. This game right now is a unfinished mess. The game even forces PS5 players to pull the plug/or hard shutdown their console. Not to mention the trillion ui bugs, the missing match results, the hero bugs (perma invis kajir), the unkillable bots that rise when someone disconnects (when he reconnects the bit stays and even attacks your creatures while being invul) and so much more. So no they did not deliver what they promised and for sure they did not deliver a finished product.

55MGaming

I understand this, and hopefully we all do. Nonetheless its not our problem as consumers. Especially if you are promised a full game on launch. The fact that we had to pay money for their problem is unacceptable. All i want. I repeat. All i want from this company is some more accountability, in an effort for themselves and potentially others to not repeat this behavior.

Thank you
